  1. I like the new stone wing pieces. Also. I appreciate that Ruina is an ugly female villain. It's not that I don't like women, it's just that so often, they're played for needless fanservice, and since NK has given us that already. it's nice to see this modest stone-crone. Jestro=vampire? Not so sure about that. He was honestly more disturbing in Round One.
  2. I'm still going by my claim that this will be the best Batman movie ever, because these people know how to write movies that aren't insulting to the intelligence, yet know how to have fun. Plus, this is a huge collision of continuities, so it's A Batman Movie in every way. EDIT: Apparently Cracked agrees with me...
  3. I'm loving the exaggerated, cartoony style- Harley's grumpy face feels straight out of the comic. After this, I feel like everything DC is going to feel weak in comparison- I mean, this is like, the ultimate LEGO Batman event.
  4. Interesting. Wasn't expecting a rock theme, but the purple is refreshing. I appreciate that Jestro changed, and the new buried-in-stone legs are cool. Has Jestro stolen some Whomps from Bowser's forces? Ruina looks really cool. I didn't think they still had the Bellatrix mold.
  5. I rescind what I said way back in the Series 14 discussion: There clearly is a way to design an interesting Grim Reaper CMF. I think he looks creepier and more morally ambiguous with the white eyes- plus, it makes him entirely monochrome, which is something I really like.
  6. Boy, I've missed a lot. 1. I love Ivy's hairpiece, and her makeup doesn't bother me at all. 2, Riddler having only a patterned jacket is fine by me, many suits don't have patterns on both pieces. 3. Am I the only person who appreciates Two-Face? He's new, and he's got the whole melted-plastic thing going on, which is really neat. I'm sure we'll get a "classic" version someday in the main sets. Fake CMF series...I'm glad it's not the real thing. I imagine this new one will be just as good as the others. Cheap(ehhh...) new Batman minifigures is ALWAYS a plus.
  7. Dang, Two-Face is melted down to the bone! That's a variation I'm surprised we've never seen before. Penguin looks so cool! The wicked grin, the sharp teeth, the oversized hat and unnatural skin tone, all of it is really cool. I love that Dr. Quinzel has an argyle shirt. That's such a clever reference to her diamond motif.
  8. I personally love how wild the villains are this time. We've had the definitive versions of most of them, and the ones we haven't, we're getting. It's high time we had a dome-helmeted classic Freeze, and Riddler's hat is great. Whereas Harley, Two-Face, Catwoman, and Penguin are all taken from various sources to create new takes on the characters that I really like. The bad guys are always the best minifigures, and I'm glad they're all so different.
  9. These sets are absolutely amazing, all of them. The best Bruce Wayne we've ever seen, the awesome villains (a proper dome for Mr. Freeze!), the sheer amount of figures in Arkham...this is gonna hurt my wallet.
  10. Ohhhh...Blackgate....clever!
  11. No. It seems to alternate between "vignette year" and "character model year", and this year there don't seem to be any side-sets with minifigures in them.
  12. "Topical" does not mean "classic". Slipknot would need to be an iconic character to appear in this film, but as he's relatively new to the mainstream, it's not to be expected.
  13. Something similar was possible in the first game. On the street, if you sat inside a two-part vehicle (like the HYDRA TANK) and another player destroyed the main vehicle, the part you sit in falls through the ground, allowing you to fly off the map into the false cities around you.
  14. That Evil Queen is inevitable, you know. It won't be an identical design, but it has to happen. All of these figures are so great. The Queen, Toymaker, Ladybug Girl, Moon Goddess, and Bearded Lady are probably my favorites.
  15. Sounds pretty promising if real. Finally, I can stop griping about the witches and add a pixellated one to my collection.
  16. I picked up the Ice Queen, Cute Little Devil, and Spooky Boy today. The Ice Queen may be one of my new favorite minifigures, and the other two are really great.
  17. I'm just going to assume that every instance of a new piece means a physical release. I really like the Gotham Mayor's hair, which reminds me of the Egyptian Queen's but more casual.
  18. Nope, it's just plastic with odd lighting. It would be extremely difficult to make full cloth outfits for minifigures.
  19. Joker's arms would also help with a Suicide Squad custom, as they're tattooed with card suits.
  20. I suppose so, but that color scheme seems directly referential to the 1966 version. If anything, it'll be passable as Yvonne Craig's Batgirl should one want to have her with the Batcave. It's interesting how many things from Batman lore are being blended here. Harley's got her New 52 hair and skates, Joker has his Suicide Squad tattoos, Robin's goggles look like Carrie Kelley, and there are countless other references to the past, all of which is stated to be canon in this universe.
  21. That Harley is brilliant. Her bat, her hair, her skates...everything! I like the Kabuki Twins, too. Joker is nice, and I like his car. The other set interests me less, but I still intend to get it. Is this Batgirl intended to serve as a substitute for the missing '66 version?
  22. An accidental adoption? That's hilarious. Joker looks interesting. Sharp teeth and sloppy makeup.
  23. Interesting figures. Joker and Robin look especially different, which is nice. Also, it might be heresy, but I won't be surprised if this turns out to be one of the best Batman films. Something tells me that despite the humor, this will really "get it".
  24. At first I didn't like the Snow Queen's simple printing, but it makes her look like a vintage figure, which is sort of nice. I'm not a huge fan of the Spooky Boy's modern, edgy look. I will get him, but I agree that he should have matched the Spooky Girl a little better. Is that a lip piercing or a tooth?
  25. Good to know that the Spooky Boy's skin is stark white after all, as the earlier photos made him look grey.
