  1. I picked up the rest of the villains in the minifigure series, and with points, it was about $20. The awesome LEGO store employee decided to give me the disco/clown Batman pack with it, even though I wasn't in the proper range!
  2. The Batmobile portion separate actually looks pretty good. It's better than the monster truck we got already.
  3. Disregarding the fact that it makes a ridiculous Batman vehicle, it looks pretty neat. I'mma need to get me that Polka-Dot Man! I love him!
  4. I was just wondering what the favorite new designs of this movie were. While Scarecrow is fantastic, he doesn't really bring anything new to the table, so I'm disqualifying him. I think it's down to Two-Face, for the brilliant meta-joke of his melting-plastic scars, the new interpretation of the damage itself, and the casting gag, or the Penguin, who just looks great without going too far off the established look. Harley should have been my favorite, but her Lowrider outfit does nothing for me, and her faces in the sets are a little weird to me.
  5. I would love to see the Ventriloquist, but I agree that the absence of the Hatter is very conspicuous. Today, I picked up King Tut, Eraser, Nurse Harley, and the Red Hood in addition to the Freeze set (10% off for its squished box), and I'm very happy. Harley is my favorite (I just realized today she's one of the Batman villains with the most variants in all DC sets- four for this movie alone!), but the others are nice. I also got the Harley poster, but I need to un-crease it and find a place to hang it.
  6. I am not sure how to feel about the voice acting- mind you, from what we've seen, the comedy's still on point, but the Joker is just...a regular guy? No mania? No monsterdom in his voice? I guess that could be scarier, but I'm so used to him having some sort of affectation that it sounds weird. And why is Harley out of Brooklyn? Did Suicide Squad take that away from her?
  7. Oh. I guess DC just has a bunch of scarred shirtless guys around.
  8. Sneaky Guy is absolutely hilarious! And I love how dark and mystical the alien leader is. Birthday Clown and Gingerbread Woman are also great! Keep it up!
  9. I'm liking the new sets. The Scarecrow minifigure is the best yet, and his mini-copter is nice. The Batwing set has the new Harley, and I greatly prefer her to the Lowrider version. The Two-Face vehicle is disappointing. Good to see Zsasz and the Whirly-Bat, though!
  10. I think the clown suit would be a good Joker costume, or a brainwashed-Batman scenario, or even just a creepy animatronic at Jokerland. I like it!
  11. Thing is, Nintendo references are nothing new to Undercover- they abounded there because it was the original game's only platform. While I'd love a Nintendo world, I don't think that's a hint towards it.
  12. Just saw the Roller and I love it. Just the right balance of vintage class and villain exaggeration. Perfect! I agree that any Two-Face vehicle should have a destroyed half. Much more interesting than split colors.
  13. True. Nifflers are supposed to be the fastest creatures when faced with valuables.
  14. Simple answer: It's in the same universe as The LEGO Movie. Long answer: Due to the shared universe, there's gonna be some franchise crossover, likely due to Joker's plans. And anything can happen in one of these films.
  15. Did I miss the actual information post? I don't know how to feel about this. By all means, I should be delighted for a (hopefully new) second Wicked Witch, but part of me was hoping this movie would be self-contained with minimal references to the original. But if LEGO actually takes advantage of the Oz license, I can't argue.
  16. All right, maybe Joker is more useful than just the hairpiece. He's just not an interesting figure. Catman should have had his own cowl, if you ask me. I'm not buying the short Bat-mask as cat ears. As for the obscurity of the characters, I think it's better to have them in the CMF line, since people would probably be more confused if the iconic characters were sidelined to the CMFs. Nobody in the general public is going to see the Eraser or March Harriet as incentive to buy a set; they're gonna go for the more well-known characters. Besides, the CMFs are most likely going to be one-off gags and minor roles, so they work better in this release format.
  17. Okay, I've had time to make individual reactions. Zodiac Master: By no means bad, he's not hugely interesting to me. I like the Pisces and Cancer sign weapons. March Harriet: I like her face and her costume, and hope we get the Hatter soon. Red Hood: A real classic (I wonder who'll be underneath) and really nicely done. Dick Grayson: Bat-Shark Repellent! This theme is giving us stuff to fill in the blanks with the '66 Batcave, isn't it? Eraser: I love the design and the minifigure execution is excellent. Calculator: Love the "07734" message- very corny, but a lot of fun. Barbara Gordon: Batsignal button is nice, and her uniform is, too. Not too interested, though. Vacation Batman: Perfectly ridiculous. I love it. Lobster-Lovin' Batman: New animal! Otherwise, not too amazing. Mime: Good face, but the rest isn't interesting to me. Pink Power Batgirl: She needs a cowl, but it's okay. Orca: Now this is a cool figure. I love the mouth-head detail. Glam Batman: Okay? I don't hate it, but I don't love it. Tut: Took 'em long enough. A solid addition to the roster. Jim Gordon: Really nice. I like the red detail on the wanted poster, too. Fairy Batman: I love it. So ridiculous. He'd be great in a future TT game. Cave Batman: Is this a Grant Morrison reference? He's great even without that. Nurse Harley: A great way to get us the Arkham version without any of its naughtiness, and the colors are great. Catman: He's okay, but not very interesting. Asylum Joker: Only good for the hair. He's probably gonna be common.
  18. What a great series! The Eraser, modest Nurse Harley and the Beach Batman are my favorites, though Orca, Calculator, Tut, and Hood are also great.
  19. I suppose the Juniors Freeze head will be good for those who like the LBM version but not his blue skin.
  20. Okay, never mind. Apparently Wyldstyle is just operating on an obscenely long loading time now, so I don't need to buy another tracker, but that's still very strange.
  21. Is anyone having trouble with unresponsive NFC bases? First, one of the HP bases failed to work (I just overwrote the Legolas tag) and now Wyldstyle won't appear anymore!
  22. Zebra Man is awesome, and I really like Calendar Man! That cape! I like the articulation on Croc, but the head looks wrong.
  23. Argh, that Penguin is turning into my new favorite minifigure- three excellent new parts, and that face...I think the Limo will be important to how I make my decisions, since Alfred's the only thing I really like about the Batcave.
  24. I just got Harry Potter and the AT Level Pack, but I didn't get to see how the gameplay was because of the confusing "go to the eShop and download the stuff- we're not automatically updating anymore" business. Also, Voldemort's Toy Tag wasn't working, so hopefully, after I've closed the game it'll be fine.
  25. I like Clayface. I think brick-built was the only way to achieve the right size, and the studs are clearly a stylistic choice to make him look more earthy. Personally, I don't like the trailer shot as much as the set/ Pizza Scarecrow is disappointing, but I love the monster pizza!
