Well, LEGO did Spongebob, The Clone Wars, and even a short lived Avatar series, and have a license to make Ben 10 sets, so I don't think that they have a problem making sets based on TV shows. But I still don't think they'll ever do the simpsons.

Ackbar: Pink group, stick close to me. Girl 1: Admiral, Imperial bikers flanking us form the left. Ackbar: IT'S A TRAP! Man, I love this picture.

You do know that no one has posted in this topic for over a year, right? Plus, we have too many licensed themes already, we don't need another one (Unless we can swap Ben 10 out for this ). Plus the Simpsons are way past their prime (but I still love the old ones, by the way), and are targeted towards teens and adults, while LEGO targets children. I don't think it will happen.

Minifig Customization Workshop Contest
Tinn-man replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
So, lets see if I can get this right... We can't make minifigures based off of something like Mario, but we could make them based off of a fantasy/storybook-like idea? -
I'll have to try this Nothing beats using oxyclean to clean LEGO.

Some changes to the forum layout

Has anyone guessed Brickfilms for the new forum? That's what I think it is. And that falls under creative activities, right? -
Which is your favorite Star Wars movie?

Episode V. Hands Down. -
I like both equally. I don't mind mixing them, because it just looks like the flesh colored ones are paler (or the yellow ones have some sort of disease ), but I usually try to keep them separate. Plus, if every skin color is mixed together, then you can have a great variety of LEGO races (or as I said before, LEGO skin diseases ).

I've said it once and I'll say it again: On a completely different note, I hope that LEGO decides to give us at least one set from UP, that movie was amazing, and should have sets before a movie like Cars . I admit that there are not many sets that you could make off of the line, but I bet they would sell well. Plus, Avatar only had two sets, so LEGO could branch off of the disney theme and give us two-three UP sets. Here are my three ideas: THE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE A medium to large sized zeppelin with a few dogs (maybe a new mold), Dug, Charles Muntz, Russell, and Carl. Carl could also come with a new cane, with detachable tennis balls. Maybe the top can come off and reveal a dinning room or a trophy room, like the minifig scale ISD. It doesn't have to be to scale, or even that realistic (in that the rooms are INSIDE the zeppelin, instead of underneath them in the cabin). CARL'S HOUSE A medium sized set as a depiction of Carl's house. Comes with Carl, Russell, and Kevin. Maybe a new balloon mold, and enough of them to create the illusion that there are alot, even if there are only 20-30 of them. The roof can come off to show Carl's living room, with maybe a couple of chairs and a few tiles on the wall with Ellie's picture printed on them. A little adventure book, similar to the harry potter books, would be nice, too. Maybe even a garden hose outside that can connect to a neck clasp on Carl. BI-PLANE A small sized set featuring one or two bi-planes, similar to the Indiana Jones one, only with brighter colors. Includes one or two dogs and Russell. You might as well through Carl in too, so that he will be in a cheap set. Not too much else in this set, except it would give lego a chance to put in some flick fire missiles ( ). That's all I can think of right now. LEGO will probably skip right over this great movie and move on with future projects, but the have done weirder things before. And, even if we don't get UP sets, there still is a chance at an Indiana Jones Zeppelin, and if that ever comes out, expect THE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE to turn up a few months after it's release .

What's sad is that both Admiral Ackbar and Plo Koon actually have lego minifigures. Squidman doesn't even look like Ackbar.

^ AND the magnets are not tan colored like they were in the last set.

Ohh...a tan side bag Only thing I don't like about this set is the bell , but that can be easily modded. Everything else is just perfect. Those gold fire helmets are great, too. I sure hope that it comes with more than one minifigure though. EDIT: D'oh! Just saw the rest of the pics. There are more minifigures.

Obviously, more REALISTIC steam engines. Like the emerald night. The Hiawatha would be nice:

Didn't TLG just make aquaraiders about 2 years ago? And wasn't it one of their worst selling lines, considering that it did not survive for more than one wave? I think this is fake. Or TLG has lost it.

Well, I got bored and needed something to do, so I went ahead and made your request. Just cut the white spots off of the side before you apply it. ( ) This is my first head decal, and it's not as hard as I thought it would be. EDIT: Sorry if I stole this request from Jerry Man, I thought it was an open request for anyone who wanted to make it, and not directed towards any one person.

Yes, Han had a ribbon. Leia was wearing this: instead of this: Overall, it's just a little more low cut, and she has a necklace.

Oh, come on. The contest said for a lego THEME invasion, so any character within that theme could be included. The entry itself did not have to make logical sense within the actual series timeline, just within the lego theme. ( ). On a slightly more on topic post. I love this minifigure. It was my deciding factor on whether or not to buy this book, and now I think that I will. I bet lego will try to put him in a set next year, too (Maybe with an awards ceremony Han and Leia, too ).
-
I could see a new helmet piece, but they will probably reuse the new clone trooper jetpack or give him back printing. I think that there are going to be so many more new pieces in this theme that TLG isn't even going to give a second thought to his jetpack. On a completely different note, I hope that LEGO decides to give us at least one set from UP, that movie was amazing, and should have sets before a movie like Cars . Although it wasn't officially announced, Miyamoto (creator of Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, etc.) showed this off at his own private conference. A first look at the new Zelda for the Wii, due out next year:

I'm thinking that Indy is going to run for three years, as batman did, and then end. I won't let it stop until I get that tank . However, it may end next year, as most of the hype around indy 4 is over, and the general public has moved on to other things. But with Lucas, Speilberg, and Ford talking about a possibility of Indiana Jones Five (the last one in the series), and seeing as Lucas has a contract with Paramount for 5 Indiana Jones movies, lego might stretch out this license with the possibility of another movie around the corner (Ford said he wouldn't do it if it took more than a certain number of years to make). And I wrote all of that to say that I think Spongebob will end next year.
-
Bet ya ten bucks that LEGO uses Jack Stone style minifigs. Man I hope this doesn't replace Indy . Actually, I hope it doesn't replace any of the lines, and is treated as an addition to the LEGO line rather than a replacement of something. If it does *have to* replace something, it will probably replace spongebob.

And I posted a topic one second before you did ( ): http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=29673 Of course, mine just has a link to the trailer, and lacks all of the info that yours has, so you win .

HERE IT IS The best part is that, if it has a custom character creator like last time, we finally will be able to play as hinckley!!!
-
Man, I hope they make real minifigures that look like that . There still is something about this game that doesn't feel right, though. Maybe it's just the fact that it isn't based off of one of George Lucas' movies (or Batman ).
