  1. I am quite skeptical about any new news ever sense, well, last night BUT I know that xwingyoda wouldn't make something like that up. I was a lurker when he and Vader were mods here, so I know just a little about them. Back on topic: Minifig AT-AT = Awesome. Hope it comes with at least one scaled snowspeeder, too. I love that vehicle, and don't have either of the first two, so I'm already considering this one. EDIT: Accidentally said landspeeder say snowspeeder. Oops.
  2. I don't see why you wouldn't believe him. He's a member with 6 post who says he went to a LEGO brand store that had a minifigure sitting out on display for a set that isn't even rumored to come out until Aug. of next year, and his camera conviently is broken. Sounds believable to me. ( )
  3. LEGO should have learned from the Castle calendar last year. I'll sign up, too. I really need that mermaid.
  4. Actually, I think that they are screen caps or photos of the pictures which are scans from a catalogue. So it's basically a scan of a scan. I like the Army men and RC car sets. I think I'll pass on the rest of them.
  5. I think what you are seeing is either part of the background or the probe droid. Sorry, but I see no spy.
  6. *sets money aside for Tie Defender and multiple battlepacks* But seriously, these are amazing. I think everyone else has summed them up pretty well. If Luke's Landspeeder looks as good as these, then 2010 is going to be a great year!
  7. This is a commercial from, what, 2006? 2007? It's almost 2010. I don't think we're going to get a figure from an animated commercial that's three to four years old. I don't think there is such a thing as a shock storm trooper anyway. Sorry, but that isn't going to happen. People take everything as a hint at a new set or theme. Edit for spelling.
  8. I'm working on a special building for the 50th anniversary of my church (I'll post the the completed MOC when it's, well, completed), but I've run into a bit of a problem. I'm out of bricks. And the event is next weekend. If anyone has some spares laying around, or knows of a good, quick bricklink store, or can help in any way possible, please respond. Here is what I need: Any Number of transparent bricks (1 x whatever) 92 2x2 Reddish-Brown bricks 950 Dark Tan 1x6 tiles 221 2x3 Reddish-Brown bricks Any Number of 2x2 black plates 4-5 2x16 Light Bley plates 50 White 6x6 plates as well as some smaller white plates (such as 4x6, 2x6) 34 Reddish-Brown 2x6 plates 172 Reddish-Brown chairs/seats 136 Dark Red/Burgandy 2x2 plates As many 2x2 Dark Red/Burgandy plates as possible (I need a ton) 50-100 Black 2x2 tiles 100-200 White 2x2 tiles 500 Tan 2x2 tiles 10 Black Fences this kind 192 Transparent 1x1 round studs of assorted colors 200-300 red 2x4 plates 100-200 Dark Bley 6x10 plates That's all I can think of for now. Thanks for you're help
  9. Yes, but Jessica Alba isn't available on Bricklink. Or, at least, not to my knowledge...
  10. Let's keep in mind that NOTHING IS CONFIRMED YET. It really doesn't make much sense if you think about it. Why would LEGO cancel Indy just to turn around and revive Harry Potter. Plus with Disney and Ben 10, I'm just not buying it.
  11. The new Thomas stuff is awful. The whole show is in CGI now. But man, back in the day when they used to use those model trains in the show, with the voice overs of George Carin and Ringo Starr... That was some good stuff (well, when I was 5). Much better than any crap kid shows they have on TV today. I miss that show.... and the good Spongebob episodes... and Monk (it is in it's last season). Oh, wait. Are we supposed to be talking about the sets? If we are, I want a system scaled Thomas. That is all.
  12. If I could, I would. Trust me. I haven't seen one with figs for under $200. Looking at this review actually makes me sad.
  13. More screen grabs: 1. Possible look of the new landspeeder: 2. Possible new Carbonite-Frozen Han Solo: I'm not saying that these ARE they new products, but it's highly possible.
  14. This set is starting to sound more like a carbon freezing chamber rather than the Slave I. But I hope we see a new Boba with that new jetpack mold on in the Snail Tank. Or Han with his accurate dark blue jacket instead of a black one (Yes, he had a Dark Blue jacket on Bespin:) Oh, and a fleshy Leia that looked like this would be good, too: I don't really care what they do with the Carbon-Frozen-Han. I already have one, so if it is a sticker I wouldn't really care, but I'm pretty sure it's just a prelim. I'm actually pretty excited about this set. I can't wait for pics.
  15. LEGO would put Harry Potter on hold, too, between movies. It makes sense for them to want to take a year off from Indy, maybe see what direction Lucas and Speilberg decide to take with the series, and then revive the theme in 2011 if Indy 5 happens, and axe it if it doesn't. Actually, that's a great decision, considering that there really isn't anything out right now pushing Indiana Jones, such as a movie or tv series, but there may be more in the near future. If there is going to be another movie, then there will be more sets. If not, well... it had a good run. Last post I'm making about the continuation of Indy. I'm serious. ( ) EDIT: Grammar mistake. Sorry.
  16. And these new sets will be released... next August! Hurray, only 365 days until I can have a Wampa to fight my Taun-Taun AND get Jango!!! Unless it's a clone wars Slave I, because Boba is in season 2, right? Plo-Koon Starfighter: Meh... Give us Aylaa if you're going to do another jedi, please. Supreme Chancellor/Ultimate Sith Lord Palpatine's Shuttle: Yes!!! A cheap Palpy set. (Hopefully). Now if we can get Cloud City, next year will be perfect... and I will need a larger LEGO storage space... and money
  17. Well, I spent a lot of time and effort trying to paint the black Marion hair blond, then the Temple of Doom set came out, which uses that hair in blond on Willie.
  18. ENTERED Let me start this topic off by saying that I love trains. Not specifically LEGO trains, just trains in general. That being said, I have never actually built my own LEGO train outside of the kits, like the BNSF. I thought this contest would give me a good excuse to try building my first train, and I'm actually pretty pleased with it. So, with out further ado, I present you with my CSX switcher diesel: More pictures here. C & C are welcome. EDIT: I almost forgot: It does have a 9v motor, so it is able to run.
  19. Best: Race for the Stolen Treasure No contest... Worst: Droid Developer's Kit Seeing as they made a way better technic R2 later, I see this set as pretty pointless. And I hated Mindstorms. Power Functions FTW!!!
  20. What about both! Banthas and Dewbacks galore! Sandtroopers make sense, too. Hmm, I don't know which is more likely, it could be either troopers or tuskens (I would personally like tuskens more). I still think that we will see a moisture evaporator, too.
  21. I predict that these sets will sell awfully in the US, considering that Ben 10 isn't very popular. It did have a nice fan-base, but that was a few years ago, and it isn't nearly as popular or widely known about as Spongebob or Toy Story. I think that people who like the series would rather by action figures than a LEGO-Bionicle-action-figure-hybrid. Oh well, more money to spend on Disney!
  22. Even if you're just mixing and matching LEGO minifig parts, it still counts as a custom I'd say go ahead and post away!
  23. Thank you, Mr. Sarcastic... Plus, you forgot to mention that the speeder will probably be sand red, and be about $20-30.
  24. A "random playability feature" would be flick fire missiles, and I don't put it past LEGO to do that. Maybe they'll even be on the Bantha, too ( ). Either way, I think that we will get some kind of scenery, most likely a moisture farm evaporator. I expect this set to be like the echo base. 5 figures (Luke, Ben, 3PO, and 2 Tuskens), and animal (Bantha), a small ship/speeder (Landspeeder, Duh), and a small structure (Moisture evaporator do-dad). That's still being optimistic, but that would be the perfect set.
  25. LEGO should get Michael Bay to direct it and fill it with tons of explosions!!! Oh, and I bet that LEGO makes sets to tie into it. How could they not? I'm predicting a complete failure.
