Obviously the first one... I would much rather have it right now for twice the price than a week later for regular price. Too bad there are no lego stores where I live (closest ones about 3-4 hours away), or I would go check this set out. My birthday is April 10th, so maybe I'll get lucky with this set .

You know, TLG, if you made the boxes smaller, then you could fit more on the shelves at the store, so you could sell more sets at a time. You would make more money, and new lego sets wouldn't sell out in five minuets because there are only five boxes on the shelf because of their size . On a slightly less rant-filled note, does anyone else think that the clone troopers and droids look like their just hanging out instead of fighting in a war. TLG could have at least made them not stand so close together. Wow, I can't believe I'm getting this worked up about a box... oh well, I wasn't planning on buying this set anyway.

Wouldn't be the first time we've had a scare like this. Remember when they posted that message that they were going to be shutting down in thirty days without enough donations? That's why I use flickr now. Anyway, I'd give it 24 hours, and it will probably be fixed.

I regret not buying the 2006 A-wing. I went everywhere looking for it, but could never find it. Only rebel ship that I don't have . I'm extremely happy that one comes in Home One, though. My collection will be complete I also wanted to get Luke's x-wing with Yoda's hut, but I don't care now because I picked up the x-wing remake, which I kind of like better because of the figures. Oh, and I wish I would have gotten the TIE bomber. I'll find one eventually, just to complete my TIE collection . Then the only Imperial craft I will be lacking will be the AT-AT. After writing all of this, I realize that I actually have quite a large collection of OT vehicles.

Did anyone notice that in the Venice Chase video, they're both in the wrong boats? In the movie, Indy's boat's engine explodes, and Kazim's boat gets chopped in half by the propeller, but they had them backwards.

I would have used a black clone accessory thing for the comedian's cigar. Even if it would be the wrong color, I think it might look better than the cut off tube. They're still amazing, though . I like them, and I haven't even seen the film.

The three most memorable moments in a video game for you
Tinn-man replied to AgentRick's topic in Culture & Multimedia
1. Making it to the elite 4 on pokemon yellow... just one of those all time classic gaming moments. 2. Finally beating Ganon after 4 different boss forms and after weeks of playing the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. 3. Getting that last row cleared off on tetris so that you can stay alive one more turn. -
I can't remember if I have said this already or not, but I found the Bat-cave and the Joker's plane attack at Target on clearance for $20 and $15 respectively a couple of years ago. I passed up buying them for many reasons: I had no place to put them. I was not into Batman at the time. (as in pre-Dark Knight ) There was only one Bat-cave left, and I had taken it up to the check out lane, when a little kid came up and said "Wow, look at that, I hope they have more of those back there". So, being a nice guy, I put it back so he could have it. Plus, I wanted to save all of the money that I could to by the hoth base later in the year (and I still don't regret that). Of course, if I would have known the bricklink prices of these would skyrocket 2 years later, I might have kept them

I posted this link a while ago. If you look at the hair on the main bad guy at the beginning of the video (00:14), it looks just like green dooku hair. EDIT: ^baby: actually, if you look at the face, it is an entirely new agent, rather than agent Chase.

remember the pirate "hints": the pirate sword in indiana jones the monkey in speed racer Everyone speculated that these returning, long lost parts, with a few others, were the first hints at a return of pirates, and they were right. Who knows, we might be on the right track again.

What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
Tinn-man replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think that there should be a Nintendo theme, and here are my reasons, from a business standpoint: 1. Nintendo is at a new hight in their company history, outselling both Sony and Microsoft by a very large degree. 2. A good majority of the people who own Nintendo systems are casual gamers, consisting largely of children. 3. Children, who are a great majority in buying Nintendo products, are also the great majority of consumers for lego. 4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl was the best selling game for 2008, and Mario Kart Wii was second, both being produced and published by Nintendo (so they have complete control over both series). 5. Nintendo also has a fairly large fanbase established within the adult gaming community, many of whom would fight an AFOL any day for a chance at a Nintendo LEGO set, seeing it as a Nintendo collectors item. 6. Nintendo itself contains a wide variety of games, from the Mario series, to Super Smash Bros., to Metroid, and The Legend of Zelda. Each of these games have their own unique world, as to give a huge variety within the line, being able to make fantasy, castle-based, and space-based sets, spanning across the Nintendo universe, and then the potential of bringing them all together in a Super Smash Bros. set. That is my argument for the support of a Nintendo-based LEGO line. Even though this does not sound very likely for 2010, because of the recently required Disney license, it is a good consideration for 2011 or for an adequate replacement for Star Wars. I hope that I have presented my argument clearly and have given the ambassadors a valid suggestion. -
It kinda makes me think that they're targeting newer members. Maybe we just think that they are stupid or "n00bs" and will be more likely to click on their links. Whatever it is, it just seems like some crazy person's type of funny joke .

When the clone battle packs came out, I bought four. I kinda felt bad, but got over it when I realized that there were about 16 more left on the shelf.

Ya I got the link, too, and I only have 150 post. That guy spent some serious time searching though members to send out those.
-
I'd say something like this: Link I really want to build a huge city, with Wayne mansion, skyscrapers, trains, and an Imperial Landing Platform . Maybe even a china town with an Indiana Jones car chase . Of course, my current table is only 4 1/2 by 2 1/2 baseplates long

Wow, this thing is cool! Is if just me, or does it have sounds, too?

All pictures are up to date and fixed, so that should be it. Thanks for all of the feedback .

I just counted, and it's actually 204 pieces, if you count the treads as one piece, so I guess it's actually in the medium category. EDIT: Great, I've just re-read the instructions and realized that I need more pics . I'll update it tomorrow, but I'm to busy right now to take more pics.

Here's my entry for the medium star wars contest, Darth Vader's Tie Mauler. It has a few differences from a regular tie mauler, and has been modified with side guns and upgraded armor just for the dark lord himself. And he's not alone, because he seems to have convinced his daughter Princess Leia to join the dark side . reference pic See more pictures HERE. Thanks for looking.

Yes, I watch it IT'S RAW!!!

Actually, only one is bearded. The other one is normal.
-
Yes, I would buy them. Especially if they made Grand Admiral Thrawn , or even Luuke Skywalker. No Vongs, though, way to violent. And the entire Legacy of the Force series bored me to death. Didn't even make it through the first book .

I just had a though! Do you think that lego will give us a giant minifig to represent Andy or other humans in the Toy Story sets. They wouldn't have to be huge, just big enough to fit a regular sized minifigure in its hand, but still larger than a troll. This would be extremely cool and good for MOCs .

10195 Republic Dropship & AT-OT Discussion
Tinn-man replied to Darth Legolas's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't think so, I like the RGS, AT-TE, and Republic Fighter Tank a lot more than this, even if it does have a lack of clones. Maybe it's because I've never actually seen an AT-OT in action. -
In this video, you can see new green Dooku hair on the bad guy. That would be nice for a Dark Knight Joker.
