In this VIDEO that Mutley posted in the Star Wars forum, there are some new train images in the background when the LEGO executive is speaking. From what I can tell, the cargo train is yellow and a little different from what we've seen before. It also comes with a tank car. The passenger train is red. Don't just take my word for it, check it out for yourselves!!!

I kinda like the new Luke. I can't wait to see what LEGO does with Han and Leia. I think Han would look best with a 'shaved' Indy head, personally. I've actually been waiting for star wars figures to catch up and match all of the other theme's LEGO produces. I guess LEGO thought that 10 years was long enough to wait. I was on the fence about the landspeeder set, but these new heads just pushed me over, and now I have to buy it.

Well, we don't really know if this is the train that the LEGO model is based on. For one thing, this train has a tender, and the LEGO's doesn't. Plus, Buzz is about the same size as one of the train cars in that picture, while in the set he is about the same size ratio to the train as a human is to a real train. Maybe LEGO just screwed up their proportions big time for playability. However, it's more likely that the train in the set is a different train than the one in your picture, and that the train in the picture was just a small train that doesn't really mean anything, because it was just made for a small scene specifically for the trailer and everyone is overanalyzing it.

Well, lets see... It was like the the Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower. Here's the picture that New Right removed. Doesn't really help, but proves that something existed at some point and time and that I'm not completely crazy.

http://www.usaweekend.com/09_issues/091213...games-lego.html I don't think that this has been posted yet. I found the last little paragraph the most interesting.

I thought I might as well post this hear as well as anywhere. Does anybody know what happened to that Big Ben set form about a year ago? We had pictures and everything, but LEGO asks everybody to remove them. I would have thought that we would have at least heard about it officially by now, and I don't think that it was ever proven to be a fake. Can anybody help me out?

I love that train and the trash compactor. The crane/trash compactor set would make a nice Temple of Doom boulder smasher with a few modifications. Thanks for the pictures, Christian!

I don't think he has the money at all. He's only like 12 or 13, right? Oh well, that's a discussion for another day. He completely abuses his minifigures, though. When he takes the helmet off he just throws the rest of it around. But I love that set. I had the last one, but eventually took it apart because of stability issues. I'm afraid to buy this one because it will probably suffer the same fate. That and it's $60.

Oh... well I didn't know that. Sorry. I guess I'll remove the link then.

On the subject of eco-friendlieness, does anybody here know anything about this? EDIT: Link Removed.

I see how it is, LEGO. You'll bring back the Scimitar back, make camels, and even mould a new turban for Prince of Persia, but not for Indiana Jones. Disney must be giving you a little bit of a better deal than Lucasarts. Well, at least were getting them. I'll just be able to have more pieces for my Indiana Jones mocs.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Tinn-man replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I actually like 13 the best. Look at that hair. Of course the forest-man, zombie, and cheerleader are pretty close. As soon as these hit the stores, I'm buying sixteen. Then buying more in increments of 5 until I have them all. I wonder if there is any type of rarity factor with these. Like number 1 is the hardest to find but number 16 is the easiest and most common. I really hope not, but being like a trading card game, I fear that there probably will be. -
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Everyone is coming over to my family's house this year. I have an 11-year-old cousin who loves LEGO, and has to come to my room every year and marvel at my built sets and sorted out pieces. He actually bought some storage containers of his own and started organizing his bricks when he got home. However, he does have a 6-year-old sister who enjoys picking up all of my sets, playing with them, and then usually breaking them at the end of the day. This year, since I'm almost done with my largest moc to date, I'm keeping my room off limits, because I know that something will get lost or broken. So that's what I'm doing for thanksgiving. Toys R Us is opening at midnight, so if you want any good deals, you might as well just not go to bed.

I would have posted this earlier, but I lost my camera. A Space Police Christmas: "A new helmet? Awwww, you shouldn't have..."

Thanks for the news Too bad Luke wasn't at the event. I'm sure that he'll show up in the final product, though. As for the Wampa, I was pretty much expecting it to be a giant, rock-monster-like thing, so I'm not too bummed. Cad Bane might show up eventually, but I have no idea where. Thanks again for the info. I'm sure if Lego is already showing off these sets privately, then new pictures shouldn't be far behind.
-
I have just a few questions, if you don't mind: Did they have the wampa cave at this event? If so, could you tell us what Luke and the wampa look like? I've also been hearing rumors that Cad Bane will be in one of these sets. Did you happen to see a minifigure of him? Thanks for the Info

Actually, Legolas is right. Here's a picture of the "ice cutter" from a documentary about The Empire Strikes Back: Almost identical to the set, isn't it?

At the bottom of the atlantis page it says: COMING SOON: 1-04-10. Looks, like we have an official S@H date, but it's in January . Oh well, TRU will probably get some in earlier like always.
-
Nope, they had their own line: LINK Although I do believe that there were some oriental/ninja based Adventure sets in the early 2000's. That might be what you're thinking of.

I know, I know... I was tired and kind of ranted. I guess I'm still a little sore from losing Indy and pirates. I was expecting these to be brick built, and was underwhelmed. The main reason that I don't like them is that at least Bionicle uses a varitey of parts, and reuse them with different colors. These are just like giant molds and only look like 5-10 pieces for each figure. But I'm starting to rant again... Oh well, it is just a kid's toy. Someone will like them. They may even grow on me Oh, and I'd have to disagree with Power Miners not returning. It is just a remake of rock raiders, so 10 years from now, they'll be another underground theme And as for the pirates/castle argument: "But I want them NOW!"* ( ) *(That was a joke, please do not flame me for it )
-
Uhhhruggg. Come on, LEGO. These are REALLY bad. I was expecting something like the Toy Story "Constuctaction" figures, but you have let me down. You cancel pirates and Indy, and potentially even castle, and then put this stuff out? There's no way these figures will sell 1/10 as well as pirates. Scrap these while you can and make more Indy/pirates/castle!* *(note: just wishfully thinking out loud)
-
Eww... Those colors are Come on LEGO, lime green, orange, and some-times grey. Why blue and red, too? Looks like a 7-year-old's moc. But I like that little car that was posted earlier

Looks like we've got our first picture: Link (Link from Black Rabbit in the Atlantis thread). It looks like an interesting set to me, almost like the temple at the end of the last crusade.
-
Well, TLG has already said that they are making more trains this year, so in a sense, they are reviving trains, but not just because of this. I'm actually pretty excited to see a new train, especially with this theme. Assuming that it will be some type of a western train, it shouldn't be too hard to mod hit to look like that one from The Last Crucade. I'll just have to wait for pics to see how similar it is, but I have a feeling that it's going to look, well, cartoony.

Actually, with an approximated scale and some rough math equations, an AT-AT that is to scale with a minifigure should be about 2.46 feet high and 2.18 feet long. That's pretty big, but remember: the UCS MF (millenium falcon) is 2.75 feet long and 1.83 feet wide. So, with these dimensions, a scaled, UCS AT-AT is not out of the question, but it would be expensive (at least $400-500 USD). See, kids? Math is cool!
