  1. And I accidentally double posted... told you I was crazy.
  2. I'm referring to this year as last year, because we're talking about next year. Looking back on it, it really doesn't make that much sense . I think I've gone crazy worrying about Indy .
  3. Shanghi Chase and the Flying Wing.

    City 2010

It's not like these are the only city sets that are going to be released for the whole year. I think the fan's choice line is going to come into play in the June/July wave, and probably be unveiled at the toy fair. Plus, you can look at it this way, the less money you spend on the smaller sets, such as these city fire sets, the more money you have to spend on larger, exclusive sets (or save for June/July, because I have a feeling that next year is going to be HUGE with Disney, 30th year of The Empire Strikes Back, a possible continuation of Indy, as well as a possible expansion on the train line).
  5. I don't think that we are going to see any Indy sets for January. There were only two January sets last year, and LEGO seems to be putting more of a focus towards Disney. But I do think that we'll see more sets in June/July. If we will, we'll know by the Toy Fair in Feb. As for the contract dispute, no one here has actually seen it. For all we know it could have said Star Wars sets through 2011 and Indy sets through 2009 or 2010. Just because they are on the same contract doesn't mean that they have to cover the same time span.
  6. I think that we're getting both. And they don't really look that similar at all. Sand red for Luke's speeder would be amazing . You know the new Luke and Old Ben go for about $20 each on bricklink? It would be amazing if we could have both of them, with tuskens, in a $15-20 set. It's such a great deal. I'm actually most excited about this set for that reason.
  7. Actually, the Power Miner's theme is pretty popular in some places, especially with kids. And I'm actually kind of excited to see the theme return, especially the lava set and the jail .
  8. Star Wars started in 1999. Indy started in 2008. They're not under the same contract.
  9. Well, not quite since LEGO's still selling sets. But I see what you mean. And I had a feeling that this would happen, with Ben 10 and Disney. It's sad, but all good things come to an end some time. Oh well, time to order pieces off bricklink for my tank, and Decals from Kaminoan to complete the cast. *sigh*
  10. Source or it's not real.
  11. I think those figures in the back are three Hoth Han Solos. We don't have NEARLY enough of them, and LEGO seems to like them a lot . (Just kidding, by the way). It's probably just a lighting thing.
  12. It's starting to seem like everyone in this thread is just yelling at each other and making personal insults. The basic fact is that no one can predict what LEGO is going to do, so I think it is about time to just give this section a rest and wait and see what happens with the Indy theme. Oh, and I just realized that the Flying Wing from Raiders wasn't a real plane after I posted that. Oops...
  13. Ahem.... not fictional ( ). When LEGO introduced the Indiana Jones theme two years ago, they said that there would be no sets made based on the temple of doom, because of the level of violence in the movie. Two years later, we have two sets from that same movie sitting on store shelves. LEGO goes against their own policies a lot. Plus, if LEGO thought that a tank was too violent or military oriented to make into a set, then why would they have a custom model on display in one of their stores? Oh, and for the "oversized gun," here's a link. Screen shot taken right from the movie. I don't think that Lucas and Speilberg make up their own vehicles for period-set movies. LEGO doesn't have an actual military line, and they probably never will, but they do make military vehicles for sets if they are needed. You can't have Indiana Jones without nazis, trucks, planes, and tanks. That's just what the entire theme is about. If LEGO wanted to avoid making anything having to do with military vehicles, they wouldn't have even picked up the Indiana Jones license. Those are the facts. I rest my case.
  14. Tennessee is a good place to live. I know because I live there ( ). The best part has to be that the LEGO warehouse for the United States is located in either Knoxville or Memphis (I can never remember which). So any thing you order from S@H, you can get in about 1-2 days. Have fun in Tennessee!!!
  15. KimT said we'd have to wait until around December. I think he's just waiting for clear pictures
  16. What I'm wondering if they know for a fact that Indy is canceled, or if they just assume that it is discontinued because there are no new sets listed for January. What I'm saying is that if it is the latter, then there still could be a last new wave in June/July. I'm staying positive, because I think Indy has one more good year left and I really want that tank!!! ( ) If you can make three good years of Batman, or even Spongebob, then you can make three good years of Indy.
  17. I don't see why so many people want a regular tie fighter over a tie defender. You'd rather have the another remake of a tie fighter than a completely new vehicle? Or even a force unleashed version of a landspeeder, when you could get a regular one with at least Old Ben and Tatooine Luke, both of which are more expensive on bricklink than the set will probably cost, plus the possibility of two tuskens? That sounds kinda crazy to me. But maybe I'm crazy... ( ).
  18. Wait, so does it end this year or next year? I thought that it meant that this was the last year. I can except the fact that it will end after next year, I just don't want it to end after this year.
  19. Or September is going to be Star Wars month . I hope we do get more tuskens. Then I finally be able to have a tusken army of my own, seeing as they're growing in popularity here.
  20. Uh oh, looks like it's time to start hoarding sets before the prices go through the roof. And we never got that tank!!! Well, wait a minute. Batman had three waves, AND it was only one of those waves only had sets come out in both January and July. What I'm saying is, maybe there aren't any Indiana Jones sets for January (there were only two this year), but there will be sets in July. It would be silly not to let Indy run for three years. Even Spongebob ran for three years.
  21. Ohhh yes. I can't wait for the tie defender. I LOVE that one. Plus Luke's landspeeder will be good. The original one was the first Star Wars set that I ever got, so I can't wait to see it re-made. And I assume it will come with Tatooine Luke, which would be the first set under 400 dollars that he's included in. The ARC-170 shouldn't be too bad, either. I already have the first one, and I like it, so it can only get better, right? Actually, I'm pretty excited about all of these sets. The wait for pictures has officially begun!
  22. EDIT: Disregard post, realized list was faked.
  23. Whenever I try to access bricklink, it doesn't load, and brings up a message saying that there is a dropped server. Does this happen to anybody else? I just want to make sure I'm not crazy. Plus I have an order that still processing (that I've already paid for ). EDIT: and now it's working again. Mods can close/ignore this topic if they want to.
  24. Either way, I thought that I was supposed to post today. I guess I messed that up . And when I replied to this tread, my post was the first and only one. Oh well... Now I need to think of a bribe for the judges...
  25. It's because most of the writers left after the movie, and the rest left after season 4. None of the original writers, not even the creator, are involved with the show anymore. The first ones are amazing. The new ones are awful. It's sad, but true.
