Everybody knows about those daring pilots of the F143 "Fireships" and their marvellous rescue of a shot-down Invisible Hand, rescuing not only Chancelor Palpatine and some Jedis. But nobody knows that there much more fire suppression unit on the higher and lower levels in nearly every District. My name is Dave Harrison Solo, I am one of those guys working at a fire suppression unit in the Dacho District. You might know my sister, Janine Solo "J-9", working with CSF. 177_3 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Well, it is not ONE job. It´s more like three jobs: Captain, Pilot and Engineer of a medium fireship, a F-53 multi purpose fire suppression and rescue speeder - but we just call it "engine" or "Fire Tug" because it is rebuild from an old tugboat. Some guys prefer newer ships like the F-88c, but I like that old fat lady. This thing is nearly indestructable and it never fails. Really, I never had an engine or emergency shield failure (do not mentoion this if you are talking with F-88c Pilots) The giys in black are the fire suppression specialists. They tried to use droids, but after losing a lot of civilian lives because failed rescues, they are hiring mostly veterans. Tough guys, but always on the lookout for the next prank. 177_10 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr The F-53 has a crew of 3 fire suppression specialists, a tank with 1000 gallons thermofoam, 2 foam guns, 2 foam handlines, 1 100" emergency shield generator, 4 gyrosscopic stabilizers, a harpoon, air drop capabilities, different communication systems and two incom fusial thrust engines from a U-Wing. 177_7 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr 177_6 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr 177_9 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr We are working 42 hour shifts at our statiion in the middle of "The works" in the Dach Distric. The call volume is high, between 30 and 40 calls per shift. Well, we see at least one or two bigger fires in one shift - in times of peace. Though most fire suppression is done through automatic systems, there is still enough to do for us. Mostly speeder and trash fires like this one yesterday: 177_0 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr 177_2 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr 20200615_164725 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr So, if you ever traveling in "The works", drop in and have a drink with us.... [Factions Ep. 4] [Incom - Z-95 Headhunter] L7 Korvai CorSec
jansued replied to jansued's topic in Factions Archive
Yep, due to the outrunning time and sickness I just adopted an X-Wing nose which I made a little bit more bulky. But the Z95 has definetly more potential, I will keep it and enhance it: Shorten the wings a little bit, change the nose/body, add more weapons, maybe a copilot.... -
*Your entry has earned 11 XP* The Z 95 Headhunter is still a fierce enemy, though he hasn't the same agiltiy and firepower as the new X-Wings. CorSec purchased a whole squadron of used Z-95 and rebuild them. New Engines, Blaster from the T 47 Snowspeeder and more armor were added. The CorSec pilots named this model Z 95x because its Firepower and Speed is very close to a modern T 70 Z95_2 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Z95_2 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Z95_1 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr P2010544 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Z95_3 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr

Ok, not sure if I understand this "seed part" thing: You have to choose a part/planet and build something with it - and then you gain IP if you win? Any suggestions where CorSec should engage ?

Well to the left is the hatch for the escape pod. The green stuff is the bedding and the teddy "Ashoka" is for feeling better ;-) Then there is a bacta shower and then there is some supplies and weapons on the floor. (At the begin of every journey the ship is packed with stuff...)

J-9 never considered a planet or something like this as her home. She was always restless and cruising galactic routes. Her personal space in her command ship, the modified Hammerhead Corvette "Madine" comes closest to what she would call home.. I have never played Overwatch, so the minifigs look strange enough for, On my side, I don't like minifigs which are obviously mixed and don't fit togather. So glad that you didn't detect the Space Police figures. (Space police, what a theme...)

Korvaii is at one of the oldest intergalactic merchant routes know to men. Corallian Seddlers, Smuggler and Freelancer were part of its history. Old Mantell in the direct neighborhood garantueed some neutrality and protection against imperial ambitions. From time to time Correllian Forces controlled the planet and implemeted a very liberal political system: As long as you don't kill somebody you are free to do what ever you want. "The Screaming Tie" is a very popular bar for pilots, smugglers and everybody who want to be hired for "special jobs". Run by an VaugsWagN a retired Imperial Veteran Officer and his crew of good looking - but also battle hardened - girls. But after the Battle of Endor the Remains of the Imperial Forces were looking for places to hide - and control. So VaugsWagN arranged a meeting with J-9 to talk about Correllian Forces protecting his business. Factions - Introduction, Discussion, and Core Rules
jansued replied to goatman461's topic in Factions Archive
Sorry I nearly missed my introduction in this thread: My name is Janine Cassandra Solo, callsign "J-9". And yes, Solo, thats right. The Solos are a big family, and besides the Big Han not very rich or influentual over here at Correlia. Until now. I will change that. 20181210_193550 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr My career started at the Empire as a fighter pilot. I piloted the classics, the TIE/LN and the TIE/rb with the 224th mainly in ground support missions at different battles with the Mimbanese guerillias. At this time, I was shot down more often than I had warm meals. Good thing: I got to know a lot of people. And I knew how the Empire worked. So I left the Army as soon as I could and started illegal trade missions. A lot of illegal trade missions. And so I finally made my experiences with trade guilds and smuggler scum. They are all worthless, but I made big credits during that time. I bought an old Mandalmotors heavy fighter from the Hutt Clan and modified it a "little". I called it the "Scarlacc" and from then on I could attack and rob nearly everyone in this sector. Unfortunately, I tried to raid an YT-1300 and was shot down. Guess who rescued me - my Uncle Han. The Scarlacc I - a good figher, but not much place inside. The Scarlacc II will be bigger.. Well, he was very convincing that being a Pirate isn't a life for a Solo. And so I had to promise him to stay out of trouble and get a honorable job. Really, I don't need the money. I have enough. And I will bring my own ship, the "SCARLACC II" which is right now in the making. So - if CorSec needs a good pilot with battle and smuggling experience: Here I am. But please don't tell me how to do things. I deliver and I solve problems, but I hate rules. -

After discovering the global terrorist network, police and seret services all over the world were eager to hunt them down. Even in a small nation like Nak-Hu Police and Border Patrol (Nak-Hu has no own army yet) searched they country for terrorist hideouts. And they found one. Hidden in an old church, they very last remains of the SoF consisting of religious fanatics, hired guns and political extremists put together an enormous weapons cache. After a tip a patrol car was sent - and unfortunately the two brave cops went into that trap and were held hostage. These are the last days of the Xenon dictatorship and its brutal generals. Everybody could feel it driving through the fields of devastation our air force has left behind. We were on a recon mission for the last remaining black spots on our maps. General "Wildhog" Gustin wasn't sure if there is anything. at the grids he gave us. "People tell us that this is a secret weapons test facility, callsign LIMA. But in the shots from the satellite it looks like an amusement park or shit pile or whatsoever, but not like a test site. So have a close look - but be carefull. Use CBRN protrection cause we don't know what those ****holes played around with." P7100160 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr So we did. The mask was full of sweat within seconds, but everything around us shouted "be careful". There was something strange, unnatural even spooky at this place. The nearer we get, the more we could feel ist. Giant ants eating an bird. Strange plants wobbling around as they were looking for food. And there was this deep, humming sound coming from somewhere deep under us.. P7100157 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr P7100158 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr We could see two guards at the entrance what looked líke a bunker. But this didn't look like a military installation. Trash everywhere. Toys on the ground. This strange Red Rocket sign above the bunker. What the hell? P7100153 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Taking over the guards was no problem at all. They seem to be severly traumatized or something similar. One threw up at the moment we took his weapon the other one fell on his back, whispering "stay away! STAY AWAY!!" P7100166 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr We let the CBRN specialist fly in. Staying behind those guys we gave them cover. For no money in the world I would do their job. We listend to their readio chatter and them waving around with the meters. It looked like in the movie "Ghostbusters" just without ghosts. What did I know... P7100175 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr "Xulu One for Xulu Charlie team!" "This is Xulu One, Charlie Team go ahead." "Xulu One, we have very strange readings. We got some Gamma radiation but large amounts of neutrons flying around. And our PIG detected some biological agents. Additionally we found some Novitschok in a beer bottle!. And there is defintiv activtiy deep in the earth under us. We got lotsa vibrations.." P7100171 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr In this moment the humming sound got louder - within seconds to the point you couldn't speak with each other. Then a deep, growling sound was added and instinctively we started to run. We dropped our gear and ran. Then there was this loud bang and everything went black.... dark and black. And quiet. So quiet. CU in C8! Overviews: P7100152 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr P7100163 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr

Epilog: Well this is not a Polar bear but the main reason while this whole thing took so long.. 0 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Here we go. Deep in Xenor Country near a military airfield there is a small outpost of the glorious Xenor Air defense battalion. The members of this elite unit were chosen.... 1 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr .... by their abiltiy of singing traditional xenorian songs (which always are somehow sad and evolving around love, revenge and little white rabbits) and, even more important, the ability to withstand larger volumes of traditional xenorian Lager beer. 2 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr. So it wasn't really a challenge for the Mountaineers to sneak into their base and surprise them To be honest: Because of the songs and the beer the Xenor guys didn't notice them even as there were standing in front of them. The teamleader -a former drill seargant had to use his well-trained drill voice to get some attention.. 3 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr But finally they realized what kind of mess they are in and started crying and begging.... 4 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr But to no avail: they were sent naked into the woods... The Mountaineers then took over the base and readied their own and Xenorian weapons. 5 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr They also found an old ZSU 23-4 AA Gun in a wonderful condition. "They don't build those things anymore...." 6 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr Exactly at that moment when the TOW was ready to go, Private Trommel (yes, the son of the secretary of defense) detected a convoy heading to the airport... P1280355 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr He took aim, knowing that the HEAT Rocket will do the job... 8 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr ...3 ... 2....1 FIRE !! 9 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr like a little but very very fast firefly the rocket was swashing to its target... 91 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr and found its aim. KAA -BOOOOOOM!! 92 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr The rest of the convoy was dealt with the heavy machine guns and the AA Gun. And while they are on it, they demolished a large part of the military airport including 2 helicopters, 4 Harriers and the Radar System. 93 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr 94 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr After leaving the convoy and the airport in flames, the Mountaineers blew up the base and retreated silent into the woods - ready for their next mission.... 95 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr
