I guess we won't see a typical US-Engine. But modern US-Engines don't look that different to European Engines anymore (becauce, in some cases, they are made from the same company..) Maybe I've to throw in some MOC's....

The new set should fit in the line of older sets:

I agree, but the last LEGO Fire Trucks looked more European than US. I would love to get a tiller truck ;-)

Ok, we have seen a new fire station, a fire helicopter and a fire boat truck in 2010. But noticing that 7942 appeared in 2007 and 7239 in 2005 I think its a good guess that there will be one or two new fire related sets in 2012. In the past years, lego fire trucks had an turntable ladder, a hose reel and some extra equipment like a boat or a little container etc. What do you think how the 2012 set(s) will look like? Wouldn that ne a nice mini-contest? Here are some inspirational pics: Best Regards, JanSued

Actually I had to rip of the Squad 51 I built for my kids and tried to built a modern version of it. Still don't like the hose reels -but the kids insisted on hose reels. No hose - no fire truck....

It should look like there are wearing long fdny-style coats ....

It was a tough shift for Engine 12 and Rescue 1 of the Winter Haven Fire Department. The third kid in a row didn't pay attention to the warnings given over the local media and broke through the thin ice layer while skating. Irvin and McCormack tried to save the screaming and whining guy with a pike pole and a life ring, Captain Gustin already got the body hook if a more drastical approach would be necessary. The local reporter was already on scene and made some nice pics for the Winter Haven newspaper, while Deputy Hightower was seriously thinking about arresting this guy cause he ignored all warnings. Engineer Downey got the yellow rescue board, a new piece of equipment especially for water and ice rescue. Nobody knew that it would be needed that soon. More pics here: Brichshelf I just hope that I won't be disqulified because it is not real fun and festive....

Please count me in on the Red Side -I might not be able to register, because I will be on vacation the next two weeks.... Regards, JanSued

Sounds like an exciting contest. One Q: Do you expect that our entries are a more or less exact replication of an epic scene or is it possible to be creative. Example: Epic Scene: Defense of Echo Base - Entranched rebel soldiers fight against AT-AT etc. Contest Scene: Inner defense of the Echo Base - Gunfights in the Base (not shown in the movie, but quit possible) Best Regards... The Desert Fort Fleeing from their enemies, our heroes found a safe place in a desert fort, manned by the Imperial army - at least they thought ist was safe! Includes a functional canon! There is a trap for the bad guys! Modular Building! *sorry, seems to be late. Also the photos are not that good... Best Regards, JanSued -
Yes I'm strong ;-)

I like it too - it offers a lot of possibilities for modding....

Okay, its a A5 Juggenaut - but still to small and harmless with weak axles. So I decided to "Pimp your turbo tank" and build a small scene around it. After weeks of fighting, a heavy recon unit consisting of 2 AT-RT and an A5 had to stop because of a technical problem with one of the A5's wheels. A Laat/i dropped a small recovery unit and some ammunition. Because they were still in the hot zone, the unit had to provide cover for this operation. To defend themselves against airraids, the rotating heavy laser was manned and the gunner had to scan the skies for any fighter or gunship. As they detected an enemy drone, one of the AA rockets was fired.... Later on, the Anti-Armor Rockets were refilled - with its full payload of 20 rockets. The troop compartment was cleaned and food supplies were added... .. and both cockpits were checked: (mainly used for command and navigation) (mainly used as a "war room") Finally, after hours of repairing, the A5 was ready to rumble again...

No, thatold Juggernaut set came out in my dark ages...

Here it comes, arrived today from amazon.fr: 8090 Clone Turbo Tank, better known as Juggernaut. In "Reality" this is an amzing vehicle with a length of 50 meters, a height of 30 meters, with a maximum speed of 100 mph, heavily armed and capable of carrying up to 300 clone troopers. But lets see the TLC's second try to create a modell of this monster: Front side: Back side: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jansued/8098/2.jpg with this contents: also with two instructions booklets. At the beginnung the bag groups are shown: 1- Minifigs and Armory 2- Sceleton 3-Wheels 4- Armor plates On the last page, there is a nice poster: Sometimes I ask myself what kind of costumers TLC is expecting to buy a +100$ set? Bag No. 1: A small AT-RT, a command module and a weapons cache. IMHO one of the definitive highlights: And - I guess awaited by a lot guys in this forum:the new minifigs: Cad Bane is one of the best SW Minifigs TKC ever done... Then the building starts. Nothing serios, biggest problem was to differ between dark grey and black. And to get used to yellow bricks.. BTW: Which side is the front and which the backside? This is the smaller ending: and this the wider ending: Sceleton and wheels are done - a little bit repetitve, but ok. Here is the weakest part of the model: the fragile lookinmg axles. This don't fit to a monstrous tank. The middle axle has a suspension system, the others are paired. In the last phase, a lot of armor plates are built and attached to the sceleton. More yellow. The base of the grenade launcher at the side could be a new part, I guess. A nice surprise: The AT-RT and the Command Capsule can be attached to the large bay doors. The back (?) side: Right behind the cockpit, theres room for the weapons module: Set#: 8098 Name: Clone Turbo Tank Theme: Star Wars Release: Aug 2010 Pieces: 1141 Minifigs: 3; Anakin Skywalker, Ayla Secura, Cad Bane, 2 Clone Troopers, Ashoka Tano MSP: 129.99.- € My rating: Playability: 4/5. The Weapon Systems of the Tank are disappointing.e.g. compared to an AT-TE. A little gun here, a little gun there. Time to mod.. But the AT-RT and other small stuff rescue some points. Design: 3/5. The fragile Axles. The fragile Axles. The fragile Axles. The fragile Axles. The fragile Axles. The fragile Axles. Would have taken some pieces for 5€ to fix it. Or give the suspension of the middle axle to every axle. Also I don't like the use of yellow and the interior could be a little more detailed... Parts: 2/5 Lots of technic. Some gray plates. Nothing really exciting. Minifigs: 4/5 Here we go. Cad Bane and Ayla. But are they really worth buying the whole set? I dunno. I like my aeralight Ayla even better. Price: If I compare this set with the AT-TE I don't see why the CTT is +30.-€ I bought it because the Juggernaut ist missing in my collection and the kids can play better with it than with the AT-TE ( the missing leg syndrome). Overall I'm not sure. If this set would be 100.-€ I would have a definitive better feeling. For 130.-€ I feel like I payed a lot of money for a tank missing big guns and a real massive look. PS No. 1: Yes, it can fly. PS No.2: Hot Chicks going for big walkers...

Hello! My ideas would be: 1. Build the meanest weapon system! (Can use elements of space, steampunketc but should look like classic pirates 2. Build the new Lego Pirates Sets which should appear in 2012! 3. Build the ugliest, most ****-up Pirate Ship Best Regards Jan
