  1. Thanks again for all the positive feedback everyone! I'm back from holiday now! By all means, please go ahead with my blessing. And please share any pics if you make them!
  2. Excellent work! I must admit I'm not a fan of mixing the yellow and flesh-toned heads, and I do realise that the buka's torso has a flesh-toned neck, but overall I think it's a sensational MOC. I love the monochrome pic with the red "stamp", the sliding door looks marvellous, and the stone lanterns likewise. The S3 samurai torso is just perfect for this kind of thing, and the sumo hairpieces too. And as you say, who doesn't love samurai?
  3. Oh, the poor pig! Very nice moc, I particularly like the elasticised positioning of the elf's arms. You've got to love the elven longbow! I do think that a thicker foliage on the trees would improve the look of things, perhaps starting above the head height of the elf if you didn't want to interfere with his line of sight? Nevertheless, very well done, and very nicely shot as well!
  4. Awesome, I love this! Very nice look to everything, I particularly like the little stall. The table in the tea house, does it have a 1x3 plate underneath the 2x4 plate?
  5. Cute, I like it a lot! Have you thought of using one of the new conical hats from the Ninjago line? I'm not sure if be better or worse, as I do like the cleaner lines and more "Legoish" appearence of the tan dish, but it's a thought: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=93059
  6. LOL, that's excellent! I love the look of the tiled roof, and of course the monstor looks very well done indeed!
  7. Excellent work! I love the lush look of the plants, and I do remember the song from high school German classes! The only room I can see for improvement would be to give Hans black legs to match up the dungarees look with the torso?
  8. Very nice! I agree with Shutinc, it feels like a spiritual successor to the Magic Shop! (Which is a good thing IMO! ) Looks like it's this piece, present in a fair few of the Harry Potter sets: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=40242
  9. Very cool, the trees look excellent! One question though, what are the brown bar-and-hand objects in the foreground?
  10. Haha, I love the inclusion of Merlin watching from behind the tree! Nice look to the fence down the centre of the listfield too.
  11. Lost! And clearly I'd be making mistakes all over the place!
  12. A gorgeous MOC! I love the look of the overgrown ruins, very nice indeed. I agree that a closer shot of the compound bow would be nice though!
  13. I must admit that like others, the Ninjago line had seemed a little to silly to me. But after reading your review, I'm tempted to pick this one up; I do enjoy the idea of the ninja bursting out of a bamboo forest like that. Very cute!
  14. Cheers! Although my wife pointed out an oversight on my part: As both the male and female elven mages are wearing belts on the outside of their robes, the female should have hers cinched in more around her waist. So I tweaked that, but thought I'd add it as a new image rather than replace the older one (just in case anyone prefered it the other way!) My wife then insisted that I point out to everyone that she is cleverer than I am!
  15. Ah, well I'm going on holiday at the end of the week, so any physical figures will have to wait until after I get back and place an order for some new parts! Anyone else interested is more than welcome to use them of course. The fact that I've got some time off work right now is why I've had the time to get back into making the decals!
  16. Sure, you mean the same mage's outfit just as a female?
  17. Thanks again for the kind words everyone! I've just finished an elven mage: Or possibly a priest? Hmm, not sure. I'd still like to make a couple more, but I think I've run out of ideas now. Does anyone have any suggestions? EDIT: Just tweaked the male mage's collar to help differentiate it further from the female mage (see below).
  18. An awesome collection, very well done! I particularly love the Marvel movies figures - especially the Black Widow and Stan Lee! Excelsior!
  19. That is exceptionally cool! I'm always dead impressed by the 3d printing/manufacturing side of things. Are you planning on producing and selling a run of them?
  20. Looks excellent! Add a pair of BrickForge vambraces and you'd be set!
  21. Thank you! A wealthier elf you say? With more gold than the belt and cloak clasps of the elven prince/captain? Very well, a golden scale shirt fit for an elven king! And while I'm at it, I realised I had been missing some female elves: Cheers!
  22. Thanks for the kind words everyone, and particularly to tin7 for the warm welcome back! I've added a couple more, and intend to keep going, if I can come up with any more ideas for other designs!
  23. Wow, very nice looking desings, and congratulations on the job! I hope to see these renaissance-looking fellows show up in the next series of Collectable Minifigs!
  24. Gosh, that does look familiar, reminds me very much of my old Superman torso! Would you like me to whip one up in that black-and-red colour scheme for you?
  25. Hello all, I've been really busy with work and sadly haven't posted anything for months. I adore the Elf from the Series 3 minifigs, and my wife gave me one for Christmas (she ordered it from overseas, as Series 3 isn't out in Australia yet! ) Long story short is that, like a lot of AFOLs, I plan to amass a small army of Elves. So I thought it might be nice to bulk up the ranks with some custom torsos. First up is a straight reproduction of the official Lego torso: Second is basically the same, but with a brown cloak (reddish-brown, in the Bricklink colours): Thirdly; a slightly different look, replacing the official scale armour with a leather jerkin or tunic and a different belt: Hope you all enjoy them, and by all means I'm open to any suggestions for improvement and/or ideas for alternate looks! Cheers! EDIT: Just adding a couple more! Another jerkin or tunic, this time on sand green with a different collar: And a fancier suit of scale armour - an elven captain or prince perhaps?
