  1. Nien Nunb. He is in no way associated to Ten Numb, other than them being of the same species: they aren't family of each other. No. We do not know whether it is Wolffe or not. Some people just make out that it's a certain figure by seeing some dark bley on the arms. Let us lay down the discussion about the clonetroopers in the frigate, next month we'll know more. ~ General Magma
  2. Hmm, now you bring that up, I took another look and I saw those alien things sitting on some of the minifig's heads. Could be a brain slug-type thing. ~ General Magma
  3. Remember the false information from a few months ago? That also came from Facebook. Besides, they can't prove that it is Wolffe, nor do they have a timemachine, and we can't trust anyone who tells us that he works for LEGO anymore, nowadays. (Well, not when they tell us about upcoming sets. ) I zoomed into the picture, and all I can see is some dark bley spots: most likely just motion blur. And to quote KingDom, ToyFair will take place around mid-February. Hopefully it will be cleared up by then, so we finally know what the troopers really are. ~ General Magma
  4. And Anakin Skywalker is the same person as Quinlan Vos. It is still unknown who it is, so please, just wait until the ToyFair pics before making final conclusions. The "markings" you see may just aswell be blurs: it's not unlikely that we're getting Wolffe, but they may replace it with another commander in the final version: the same thing happened to the tactical droid: moved from the clone turbo tank (2010) to Windu's JSF, and Quinlan Vos from the T6 shuttle to the Republic Frigate. It may be Wolffe, yes, but Thire may be more likely since he, Jek/Rys and Yoda were present at the time we had seen the Frigate for the first time. But then again, it could be Bly aswell, because of the "Jedi Crash" episode. ~ General Magma
  5. I think nobody else mentioned it before: Zooming into the picture, I spotted some kind of little alien "pet". A small, one-eyed figure, it seems: either that, or it's the head of one of the aliens. It looked like the small Tyhrranoids from Ratchet and Clank 3, just in lime green: ~ General Magma
  6. Some ideas just popped into my mind... Hopefully TLC could do these. The second one is an idea for the upcoming Hoth Echo Base. 7999 Slave I Space Battle (or maybe "Jango Fett's Slave I and Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter", but that's kinda long for a name.) Minifigs: Jango Fett, young Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi (episode II) and R4-P17. (total: 4) Comes with: Jango Fett's Slave I (new model, similair to Boba Fett's Slave I from 2010, just recolored and a slightly different design), Obi-Wan's Delta-7 Aethersprite Jedi Starfighter (redesigned starfighter) and a couple of new asteroid pieces to fully re-enact the scene. Piece count: About 800. Price: $120 7879 Hoth Echo Base Minifigs: Leia (Hoth outfit), Han Solo (Hoth outfit), Major Bren Derlin, General Carlist Rieekan, 2 Hoth rebel troopers, Luke Skywalker (Rebel Pilot), Luke Skywalker (injured), Wedge Antilles, medical droid, K-3PO and 3 snowtroopers. (total: 14) Comes with: Large door for the Hoth Echo Base, control room, medic room with bacta tank, 1 or 2 hallways, a tauntaun, snowspeeder (redesigned in grey) and a Hoth AT-ST (very similair to the one from 8038, but with closed eyes and some additions). Piece count: About 1000. Price: $150 ~ General Magma
  7. Great shots everyone. I decided to do a few more today: some indoor shots, aswell as some outdoor shots. First outdoor shots without snow, and thus the forest and nature look - the snow's gone for now... Enjoy! Gleaming Darkside Gleaming Darkside by General Magma, on Flickr Grassfields of Endor Grassfields of Endor by General Magma, on Flickr AT-ST Hunting AT-ST Hunting by General Magma, on Flickr Ewok Glider Above the Woods Ewok Glider Above the Woods by General Magma, on Flickr The main thing that I wanted for this one was an ewok glider in the air, with the picture focusing on the ground below. Rebel Sniper Rebel Sniper by General Magma, on Flickr This one is one of those "shiny" shots again: the picture didn't look too good without it, so let's just say the sunlight is shining upon him. ~ General Magma
  8. OK, I have no clue why you think that is Paploo, but it's definitely going to be a differently colored ewok: black fur, with a hood that looks like it's going to be dark tan. Doesn't look like Paploo at all. I think it would be a strange choice to throw away the possibility of 2 new ewoks, to dump another figure we have already had into the set. I zoomed into the frigate, didn't see any marks. It could turn into any clone commander now: Greg Hyland had a Commander Cody on his desk, but he's most likely just from the Geonosian starfighter. It could be Wolffe, of course, but it could also turn out to be Thire. ~ General Magma
  9. No. There's a black ewok, probably just "generic", and the other one is tan: Logray. Chief Chirpa is grey, and he won't be in that set. ~ General Magma
  10. Thanks for that link. Hehe, so I was right about Logray! Although I can't find any information on the hoods being able to fit onto the horned heads. ~ General Magma
  11. Happy New Year everyone! Onto another year with fantastic new MOCs, sets, fun and much more in 2011! Best wishes to all. In less than 12 hours, the new year will begin for The Netherlands. ~ General Magma
  12. Thanks for the great review! I've got mixed opinions on this set: the Tactical Droid looks nice, but the official STAP designs always seem a bit too big to me. The starfighter itself seems alright, but I guess I should just wait for a discount, may I ever want to buy a copy. But not until I have bought all OT sets I want. Oh, and uhh.. Nice bedspread. ~ General Magma
  13. Thanks, I have decided to go for the Imperial shuttle. Both will go towards the Endor dio, indeed, so I'll be adding a landing pad to the diorama in the end. Gives it that finishing touch. ~ General Magma
  14. Woah, that's both gigantic and amazing. Fantastic work, as usual! Your UCS models are all amazing, great job. Gotta love 'em. Do you have a comparison picture of it standing next to the official 10212 UCS Imperial shuttle? I recall having seen one, but I don't know if it's still around. ~ General Magma
  15. I have another question here. I'll just forget about the Slave I and GG starfighter for now, this is a bit of a harder choice. OK, so I could buy pieces for my large Endor project on BrickLink now (aswell as another time with my birthday, unless..) or I could start saving up for the 10212 Imperial Shuttle. I will make the Endor diorama anyways, but the process would take longer and I would lack pieces. But I have also wanted the shuttle for quite some time. I could make a landing pad for it to be placed in my Endor diorama, but I'd probably have to leave out the landing pad, since that would cost alot of pieces to get into the right scale for the shuttle. So, I'd like to know: should I start saving up for the 10212 Imperial Shuttle and be able to buy it on my birthday, or order pieces off of Bricklink for Endor now, and another time (but a much larger order, then) with my birthday? And that's 5 months away, still, so either way: which option should I go for? What would be the best choice? (The BL order isn't a set, but I thought it would be allowed here too.) Thanks in advance. ~ General Magma
  16. I think they're either two of these connected with an axle, or else perhaps a new, longer piece. They don't seem round enough for 1x1 rounds. ~ General Magma
  17. It's not just a catapult. It's probably a plate with a few plants and a tree on it, including a small catapult and some traps. Rolling logs, etc. Plus, Logray gets a new mold, and they threw in another speeder bike. Prices are like that nowadays, and you'll have to deal with it. ~ General Magma
  18. Endor photography continues! Enjoy. I decided to do another ewok biography shot after Wicket, and here it is, this time featuring... Chief Chirpa Chief Chirpa by General Magma, on Flickr "Chirpa was the head of his Ewok tribe's Council of Elders in the Bright Tree Village on the forest moon of Endor. The gray-furred Chirpa carried a reptilian staff denoting his rank which carried the teeth and horns of animals he had hunted. He and his wife Ra-Lee had two daughters: Asha and Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka. Chirpa was also the brother of Bozzie and the uncle of Paploo." I also tried a different kind of lightning in an "Endor at night" shot: Endor at Night #1 Endor at Night #1 by General Magma, on Flickr ~ General Magma
  19. Hey all, I'm having a hard time deciding which set(s) to get. I can buy General Grievous' starfighter now, or save up a little more up for the new Slave I. I want to have the Slave I set itself, aswell as the minifigs. For General Grievous I would mainly be aiming for the Grievous minifig, but he'll undergo some modifications where I would just need the head and the legs. But, I also need a tri-pod for my camera, to start making stop-motion videos again. The total of a tri-pod + the starfighter would be about €70, and the tri-pod + the Slave I would be around €100. Either those, or another Bricklink order for my Endor project... Thanks in advance. ~ General Magma
  20. What do you mean, disliked? It's a great set with some useful parts, but the true highlight there are the minifigs. The speederbike is meh as usual, it's just inaccurate.. Still too large, bulky, etc. - but the rest is great. That's not Chief Chirpa, by the way. It's Logray. As I'm going to make an Endor diorama, this set will be a great help for me, and thus I'll have to buy alot.. ~ General Magma
  21. Dark gray? I don't see any dark gray there, other than a bit on the arms. Maybe it's just some blur, but I guess not. You could be right about it not being plain, but you already make conclusions about it being Comet. I have been seeing some spots of gray on the arms for some time, though. Like I said, Wolffe could be very right, but you can't be sure about Comet. ~ General Magma
  22. Or perhaps you should wait til we see better pics and confirmations of the figures included, before you start making direct conclusions. You could be right about Wolffe, but I wouldn't start making up what a plain white clonetrooper could become. Anybody else noticed that the clonetrooper is holding something white in his left (right for us) hand? I wonder what it could be. ~ General Magma
  23. Smartwii has new pictures up on Flickr - they're much more clear than the first batch's pictures, and you can see details on figures like Watto, Sebulba, etc. Unfortunately, he didn't do a close-up of the Ewok Attack set. Maybe he'll do that soon, aswell, since he's adding new pics frequently. To see the rest of the pics, click the arrows to browse his photostream. ~ General Magma
  24. I'm 99% sure that it's a commander with a name, and that he will turn out to have markings. If he didn't, it would say clone commander, but if you look closely at the text below the figure, you can see it says commander "something". I believe it will be Thire. ~ General Magma
  25. Yes, but why wouldn't they just add a second one for the wings? Most Geonosians have wings, and the old wings are rare. ~ General Magma
