  1. I think it would be a good idea to just keep talking about ideas for keeping LEGO The Lord of the Rings alive, outside of official releases, which we've most likely already seen the last of. We've been declared independant, so let's figure things out on our own now.
  2. Yes, yes, yes! A battlepack, please! I really like the new Rogue One stuff. I think I'll try making one of those new vehicles... I'd also like to try my hand at a few custom figures, but I'm not sure which rebel minifigs will appear in the upcoming Rogue One sets. Any chance of seeing the alien rebels as minifigs this year? (It's awesome they're having aliens among the crew, by the way. At first I thought it was going to be a group exclusively made up of humans, but I'm glad that's not the case! The Star Wars galaxy is way too big to only have groups of humans be the stars.)
  3. Very well done, Floyd! Excellent blend of good builds, great colours and nice minifigures. In my opinion, there's just something odd about using yellow skinned characters in realistic looking builds. It doesn't often really work that well.
  4. Hmm, looks pretty good. Especially the Ahsoka figure. One thing I don't understand, though... the fact they actually made Sato's skin accurate is great, but why couldn't they do the same for Ezra and Sabine?
  5. That's amazing. Truly! I'm hoping I'll have the same skills & resources as you one day, your recreations of Star Wars vehicles are simply fantastic and very inspiring to me.
  6. Sounds interesting. I was kinda hoping it would be some kind of new UCS, but a ship from Rebels would be cool as well. Combat frigate... I'm not sure if that could be the Hammerhead-class ship, since that is canonically known as a corvette, and also because there's already another similar looking ship coming out (another "hammerhead" but in blue, from the 'The Freemakers' TV show). But, if corvettes still qualify, I think it's going to be one of those blue-and-grey Corellian corvettes that are very similar in design to the Tantive IV. Why? Well, LEGO has already released a set called a "Frigate" (the Republic Frigate, mostly grey with some red, from The Clone Wars) in the past, and that ship is somewhat similar to those corvettes, or blockade runners, if you will. If not that, then it could be Phoenix Home, and if that's not it either, then I don't know.
  7. So Vader comes with leg printing in the A-Wing set, or did the person who took the picture just use the legs of one of the more recent Vader figures on the Rebels version?
  8. Do you like collecting ships rather than buildings or structures like the Carbonite Freezing Chamber, or more of both?
  9. Have you ever thought of changing your name across the LEGO community websites? Or have you ever done so? If so, why, and what was your new name meant to represent? Would you ever use your full real name? Or do you not deem a person's username to be all that important? I myself am facing a dilemma right now on whether I should change my current username or not, and what to change it to. I came up with it nearly 8 years ago and I didn't put much deep thought into it or anything back then, and now it turns out LEGO is using a near-identical name (General Magmar) for a Nexo Knights villain, which bugs me a bit, for some reason. I suppose I don't really feel like sharing a name with an existing character, although the difference is one letter. I'm also thinking that I might need a different name to unite all my MOCs, customs and future Brickfilms (I'm gonna pick up Brickfilming again in the near future) under one banner appropriately, and I'm still thinking about whether my current name would do the trick for me or not. I've been thinking of using my real name here and there, but as is the case sometimes, it could be a temporary dilemma.
  10. You can just buy those regular blasters on Bricklink for 10 to 20 cents each, take or give a few.
  11. I've had this sitting here waiting to be built for nearly 4 years now. About time I get to it, soon, now that I'll probably finally have space. I took out the minifigs way back then, assembled them, but never got around to actually building the set up until, hopefully, soon. Quite strange to think it's already been 4 years since the first LEGO LOTR wave... Anyway, good review of a great set.
  12. I'm absolutely tired of seeing those Rebels stormies in such large amounts in sets but barely any OT stormtroopers by now.
  13. I would much rather have gotten Gondor soldiers. Sure, the Rohan soldiers were nice, but the only ones we really needed were Theoden and Eomer. I've got a movie-accurate army of over 20 Rohirrim soldiers right now, and it has only one of the official ones in it (alongside Eomer, Theoden and two Royal Guards that both use Eomer legs & helmet) and another set of the pieces mixed on another soldier, but most of them are custom, and could otherwise also easily be portrayed using other existing LEGO parts. They're a really mixed bunch so you don't ever need an actual uniform on them. Gondorian soldiers, on the other hand, are a completely different story...
  14. The Cafe: The Tastestuds Cafe * The Family Restaurant: Brickolini's Restaurant The Mezzanine: Three Bricks High * You know - like, tastebuds! The logo could be a tongue with studs all over it.
  15. Jyn Erso is not Rey's mother. Can people please stop with these farfetched theories? Rogue One has nothing to do with the sequel trilogy, and I'm pretty confident Rey is a Skywalker. I will only say that it looks like a bacta tank, but it's probably not one. And I don't think Palpatine has a master at this point... it's just a hooded figure kneeling down, who may or may not be the new Imperial admiral. The thing is, we don't really know. Many people wear robes in the Star Wars universe, it's not just exclusive gear for Jedi and Sith.
  16. I don't see how they're ridiculous.
  17. I personally think Ahsoka's final scene is meant to be symbolic rather than meant to be taken literal.
  18. April Fools! New from the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector series - the 751599 UCS Death Star! This is one set that you definitely do not want to miss out on. Aim the turbolaser gun and vaporize your enemies in the blink of an eye! Equip the Death Star with his trademark black cape, and intimidate your enemies without any effort! With a whopping total of 11 pieces, this beast of a model of the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy can soon be yours! "Bamboozled Rebel Minifig" sold separately. Available from April 1st for 20.000 Republic Credits.
  19. The thing here is that I very much doubt we'll be seeing a happy ending for most of these characters, which, eventually, has to come somewhere during the show. Maybe we'll still see some lighter episodes, but it will never get to imitate the happy type of ending from RotJ considering the show's place in the canon.
  20. It was followed by the movie that introduced Ewoks, but it also had said Ewoks getting killed, the gangster you mentioned being strangled to death, a slave dancer being eaten by a giant beast called a Rancor, Luke Skywalker now cutting off Darth Vader's hand, etc.
  21. First of all, I loved the episode. I thought it was great. However, I do agree with your notion that it has gone from fun and lighthearted to dark and heavy... I remember wanting Rebels to get darker, but now I too am missing the "feel good vibe". I'll certainly keep watching though, nonetheless, but I'm honestly going to miss the fun and lighter tone.
  22. Totally a missed opportunity to release a chrome black version of the new Darth Vader...
  23. I'm planning to get back into making LEGO stopmotion videos, but one thing I would find really useful is finding out how many minifig heads there actually are that have many different facial expression variations (or heads that look enough like one another to be able to use them for the same figure(s)) - one figure I can think of is Emmet from The LEGO Movie, but which others are there? Whether they're yellow or flesh, if you have any idea which heads could be used for many different facial expressions, let me know.
  24. Congratulations to all winners! Even if I didn't win, I had a good time building my entry and I'm glad I decided to participate, because, as a result of that, I challenged myself to try to come up with a new way of building something on a small scale, helping to advance my building skills a bit further. That was enough of a prize for me!
