  1. I really like this vessel! The tumblehome is fantastic, and I like the decorated gunports. The stern looks great as well, I like the round shape of it. But I'm missing the ropes!
  2. I see some nice soldiers there! Unarmed though. The helmets look excellent! And I'm looking forward to see the helmet decals! Nice job so far.
  3. I have always been a big fan of this movie. And I must say your Achilles looks quite good! Nice paint job, I'm not too fond of the large sword he is holding in the first picture.
  4. I feel almost ashamed I notice this thread after 10 days. I can see you have quite some experience with customization Penguin! Awesome! Also the brick modyfying turns out nicely, and I really like face decals. They always turn out like cr*p here. Nice job!
  5. The new huffelpuff uniform: The new yellow Third Task shirt: And the new yellow Fourth Task shirt: And a bonus: The Griffindor uniform:
  6. We can always keelhaul the admins alltogether of course. And keep keelhauling untill we have the answer! Nah, that would waste the surprise. I think our only option is to wait 5 long days... No doubt it will be something spectacular!
  7. There are quite some solutions for this issue, but the result won't be that great. It will be too flimsy and it will look like flimsy as well. The diametres of the yard didn't differ from the diameter of the mast that much. I'm afraid you have to extend the deadline, and buying some of those highly recommended black plates since those bricks are simply the best for yards. Rick's way is quite ingenious, but since there is some weight on it, (the sails) the tap will stick too far in the mastpiece. That will cause the sails are flapping around and are not secured that good to the mastpieces. Since you are building a very nice ship, please watch out not to hurry. It would be a waste if you had build a high quality hull with a quick finished rigging on it. Please spend some good time on the rigging to get the top result. I hope that might help. Good luck!
  8. I think the result of that effort is rather nice! Speaking of the fact combining several models to one single coastline... That is something I absolutely don't want to miss!
  9. You're building a nice pirate ship aren't you? I can expect a nice BrickLink order this week. Hopefully I can finally finish the problem I'm struggling with for months already. And of course there are some nice extra bricks, always nice to have.
  10. I like orcish MOCs a lot, and I can't wait to see the whole "town" connected. Thus far you're doing a great job, keep it up! And I like the shaman's staff, simple but very effective design!
  11. I like it. No offence at all IMO. Just like Meschpers mentioned, the critisism should be directed at the author. Unfortunately the pictures are a bit dark, so the details are hard to see. It would be better using sheets of paper. The MOC looks quite good, I like the shoreline and the forest.
  12. We had an amazing party at Talk Like A Pirate Day! We dressed up like pirates and were yelling Arr! and Yargh! to everyone on the streets. Unfortunately the event isn't that popular in the Netherlands yet, some people know about it, some people don't. But we decided to do something with it! Armed with our flintlock pistols we were pillaging the small village! Of course we had a large pile of rum too! Now we have to wait 364 days to celebrate Talk Like A Pirate Day again!
  13. I agree this looks quite good so far! Some more pictures would be nice though. You're teasing us with that picture! Keep it up! I can't wait to see the final result!
  14. Now I'm very curious! But if there is another concept this time, why is the name still "Pillage the Village"? It sounds cruel and filled with violence. Now I'm waiting for some silent hints!
  15. The queen looks like she thinks: "Ah well, we execute him anyway." I like the way he is running out of his cell, it looks like a child running into the candy store.
  16. What has a piece of fabric ever did to you? Instead of destroying the Redcoat flag we kill the Redcoat people! After they are gone the flags are no longer necessarry. But you destroy the flags while the Bluecoat Army is more lively then ever! Which means you are in deep trouble now. Burning a flag is just an insult, which is the perfect reason to kill all our Redcoat prisoners. :pir-skull:
  17. That are a lot of new decals! They are awesome, great job on them!
  18. The new huffelpuff uniform should be up soon. I'm glad you like it so much, thanks a lot for your kind words! The program I use is the standard MS Paint, and a large pile of experience. For the advanced settings I edit the image with Paint Shop Pro. But MS Paint has almost everything I need to create a fine looking decal. Again, thanks for the nice words, that's very appreciated!
  19. There is a small chance that particular theme is pirates. d'oh.
  20. That means there is light at the horizon! Now we should hope the break isn't taking too long.
  21. Awesome interview guys! My compliments to Captain Zuloo for putting an interview with Captain Slappy together! And of course let's thank Captain Slappy for his time! It's cool to know what hides behind the Talk Like A Pirate Day event! I really enjoyed reading this interview, behind the helm is always interesting. I'm really looking forward to the next episode!
  22. Awesome idea Ratshot! My compliments. I like the curtain as well, and the crowdsurfing, like they are a famous band! And I also see we got some nice cash as well, another few muskets can be bought!
  23. No doubt I'll sign this! ~Cap'n Blackmoor's signed here. -> ****** Done! Now hope this petition will have a nice result.
  24. Normally manned by 4 men, with rough weather 8 men. It's quite large indeed.
  25. I came across an amazing castle project on Brickshelf. Perhaps this castle project is already familiar to you, but I'm not sure so here it goes: The pictures are quite large though. I think it is pretty stunning, it's size, the ammount of details... The whole gallery: Gallery I hope you like it as I do!
