x2!!! "Are you an actual cat?" Hoke asks, still mounted on Torc.

Hoke equips his Warrior Treads. "Well done!" he says as he strokes Torc's neck. He suddenly realizes Torc is literally the size of a horse! "Let's see how this works," He mutters to himself. Hoke steps toward Torc, trying to figure out best to mount respectfully. Seeming to sense his intentions, Torc turns toward Hoke, stretches out her thick neck and lowers her head. He gently, but confidently straddles her neck at the shoulders, and WOOSH!, with a mighty flap of her wings and flick of her tail, they are in the sky. It felt like nothing he had ever experienced before. Freedom. Power. Yes, he feels her power underneath himself as he seemed to absorb her body heat. They flew a few circles around the docks, and landed in about the same spot from which they took off. After the initial rush fades, he feels that something else outside of him felt that power. The pouch tied around his neck nearly hums on his chest. "Soon," he thinks to himself, "Soon."

WBD's was a direct introduction to the story through action. CMP's is a twist. I dig it. Both gave a bit of time for intro role-play.

Pro tip for QMs: if you really want to hook players into the story, start it off with a fight. Worked for this quest & the last WBD quest I was on. To me, nothing is worse than 5 pages of forced role-playing at the very beginning of a quest.
