Thanks a lot guys! :D Hehe it was announced on the LowLUG website about a month beforehand, and Brabants Dagblad also had an article about it, so I think the publicity was there, you just missed it ;) You know Mont Saint Michel is my dream MOC to make one day when my collection is huge and I don't have to work anymore. I do admit it is a style that (subconsciously) keeps coming back though, this is the third castle that reminds people of Mont Saint Michel ;) It took about 2 months altogether, and I built it in modules to be able to take it to our Castle display (first reply is where I explain who made what and so on), and I had to rebuild some of the seperate modules of the castle a few times to get it all to fit ;)

Thanks a lot for all the great replies everyone! :D Neither, there's a few 2x2 bricks in the SNOT water that stick up, and fall into the "framework" of the bottom of the castle. This because I built this for a Castle display and had to be sure to assemble it all correctly at the scene, on repeated occasions.

Very cool stuff! Especially for being your first Castle MOC in a long time! I like all the details you added, no part of it looks boring, and that cut-through on the sides is very well done.

Almost immediately after pacifying the area, the conquering crusaders decided a rock sticking out of a lake would be the perfect location to build a church and show their faith. Not long after they finished their house of God though, they found the need for fortifications around it became more and more urgent, with increasing attacks from heretic and blasphemous cults that were still active in the area. With funds from the Vatican fortifications were built up around the church, and the crusaders garisoned in the fort fought off countless attacks and sieges. But even now the heretics of the area are still building up blasphemous tokens to their false gods. So the Crusaders called in a fellow religious fanatic cult, the Hand of God, who didn't hesitate to send in a small strike force to raid the somewhat unsuspecting cultists' lands. ^ click image for Brickshelf folder The size is 128x112 studs.

I really dig your trucks. I'm particularly fond of the colour blocking in the tanks on your tankers. Great job! :D

Woohoo! You know I love modular buildings! I love all the details on this, and on the two buildings to the sides as well. Great job! :D

I really like the top of the left one, and the bottom of the right one. If you combined those to make one fierce compact starfighter, it would be awesome! :D

Thanks for the congratulations :D And of course congrats to CopMike and all other (new) Ambassadors around the world! You can say that again!

Woohoo, good to see you're back and on the roll! As usual, I can't wait for the next installment :D

I'm quite excited about a new store in Frankfurt am Main, I go there every now and then for work, and this gives me some place cool to go during waiting hours :) I will most definitely pay the store a visit in the near future! I drive down to those two stores quite often, when I go that way I'll give you a shout on msn, you can catch a ride with me. The one in Oberhausen is the closest for me, but the one in Köln is much bigger and has a much wider assortment in PaB and just looks nicer. Also the one in Oberhausen is in a boring modern shopping mall, the one in Köln is right in the middle of city center :)

I've also used this program before, and it is indeed very useful for planning out layouts. I had it on my old computer, but haven't used it in a while so I forgot the name. I was looking for it the other day to install on my current computer but couldn't find it (because I didn't know the name) ;) so thanks for posting this to remind me! Now this I didn't know, and it's probably one of this program's most useful functions :D Thanks for pointing that out!

Many congratulations to all new LEGO Ambassadors! :D You forgot Aliencat! Sebastiaan Arts, representing De Bouwsteen ;)

MOC: The Fleshwelder
Aliencat replied to Aliencat's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey Arthas, I'd love to add more cool evil things, but in a Techball match your vehicle really takes a beating. The trick is to build something that can survive all those crashes, and that gets harder the more details you want to add. -
First of all, for those of you unfamiliar with the ball sport Techball, check out which sums it up perfectly. It's usually played with four players, 2 vs 2, since there are four different channels in the Power Functions system. Here's my contestant for a future Lowlug Techball game, The Fleshwelder. It's an evil machine from space from the future from the pits of hell. It uses two Power Functions M motors, one to power each wheel. I'll shoot a video of it in daylight tomorrow and post it here. Excellent MOC, I like the use of the runway as a road plate for this. It has an early 90s vibe to it, which I find great because that's where my childhood is at. I was six in 1990, so that was exactly when I was getting all into Lego.

They're hardcore press people. They show up naked with the word "Press" tattooed across their chest. I have to add, very good focus on those pictures, Calvin!

Awesome stuff, very classic looking. I always knew they were a bit backwards in Washington Street though, the people at the bus stop sit with their backs towards the street, so they sort of have to guess when the bus is coming ;)
-
Great stuff. I'm really digging that truck! You used some very clever techniques to get the shape just right, without sacrificing load space. Good job on the van too :)

Antrozek, if your penis looks like that, please stay away from me.

I remember when Schwarz got his first date with Valkyrie, 4 months went by until it was Thursday night at last ;) So I'm guessing time isn't too relevant here, hehe Edit: Not meant to rush you or anything KDog, you can take your sweet time if that means keeping up the great quality of these comics :)

I like where this is going :D
