  1. This is a response to WickNole's Water Pump: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110068 Just driving to work... Who am I kidding, I don't have a job, I just like to get away from my wife sometimes... Who am I kidding, I don't have a wife. I don't even know where I live... In fact, everything before this morning is all one big blur. I don't remember where I got this car from, or who drank all my whiskey. WAIT! Who put this here?! Yeah this definitely doesn't look like something I put here... I'm gonna need a bigger vacuum cleaner! And here's some more views of the Caddy and the Vacuumdozer:
  2. OK here's my introduction into Andromeda's Gates: Name: Aliencat Corporation: None! I'm an alien trying to defend my quiet, peaceful homeworld of primary colours and annoying birds and rabbits and bees and junk from you thieving corporations! Job: Door-to-door vacuum salesman (but that's obviously just a tax cover, seeing as I live on a planet with no doors...) And here's a 100x100 avatar:
  3. Do aliens need to have one of the specified jobs in order to post an introduction? Do they need a job at all? Can I be a plumber or a toilet salesman or something? Or just be an unemployed couch potato?
  4. I'd like to join this, but can I just be an alien without joining any faction? Couldn't really find a concise answer to this and I don't see any "known aliens" in the player index.
  5. Hey Eurobricks! It's been a while since I posted something new here, I'm really sorry :( I've been so busy I've built a new modular building following the Café Corner Modular Standard, but with a little added twist: It fits perfectly in a layout with other modular buildings, because it follows the Café Corner Modular Standard, and no bits stick out to the sides. More photos and a more elaborate description on MOCpages More photos on Brickshelf when public.
  6. When I first saw the Space Police set Smash'n'Grab Rig, I found Squidman's space tow truck such a cool concept, I wanted to make my own space tow truck. So here's a "UCS" version of it. Check out the full description and all the photos on MOCpages, or just the photos on Brickshelf when public.
  7. This is the IZ Emporium. Why IZ? Because I happened to have a clothing tag lying around that said so. You can view all the photos on Brickshelf when public. All the photos and the full description can be found on MOCpages.
  8. Wow this is much harder than voting in a poll. There are all these awesome entries and I need to think of how to devide the points to really give them what they're worth. Well here's my tally: I Scream Clone: 2 Infomaniac: 1 Kris Kelvin: 2 Fonz: 2
  9. Hey Sammy, awesome review. Very detailed! One thing though: Looks like white, yellow and blue to me
  10. Awesome stuff Kris. I had high hopes for you in the Brick Castle category, and you've really followed through! Excellent job! My favourite Brick Castle so far :)
  11. Fine with me! thanks a lot for the compliments Yeah that's Fabuland, one of my favourite themes when I was a little kid. My older sister had a lot of that stuff, and when I was about 4 or 5 years old, Fabuland was the coolest thing in the world to me! Now, since a few years, it is again :) Thanks, the car didn't come in a set. I built it.
  12. Thanks a lot for the great comments everyone! It's very much appreciated :)
  13. Here's my entry for CCCVII's Religious Life category: the theft of the statue of the holy mother Mary at Scherpenheuvel, Belgium. I'm aware of the historical inconsistency: the church was built after the statue was stolen (it was built there, because according to legend, the statue of Mary froze the thief in stone, thus foiling the theft), but I just love that church so I wanted to build it :) View the MOCpage for all the details.
  14. Oh very nice truck. I like the striping on the cement drum a lot. Good job keeping it in scale LEGO's town trucks
  15. This is an entry for Classic-Castle.com's Colossal Castle Contest, in the Brick Castle category. The idea for this category was to build a castle that's (partially) built up out of clay-fired bricks, rather than stone. So this is my first attempt at a red castle, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out, even though that's a revolting colour to build castles with in my opinion ;) but hey that's the challenge of this category. I had to keep it relatively small (48x48) because I don't really have that many red bricks (who builds red castles anyway ;)). View more photos on MOCpages.
  16. Thanks for the great replies! :) Tereglith, you're right haha, I hadn't noticed that. Awesome, that one was yours! :D I had seen it before but couldn't remember who made it. Mine is a wee bit different, but diffinately greatly inspired by yours, awesome model dude! I filled in your name in the blank I had for it on the MOCpage :)
  17. Thanks for the great replies everyone :) Yessir, here's a video of it: Youtube link The under supports aren't very exciting. Here's a picture from the WIP process: Brickshelf link
  18. Named after the awesome album I was listening to while building this, and I feel that title conveys some of the mundanity in this scene. Yeah I know, it's mundane, welcome to Planet Monday. Check out all the photos on MOCpages and Brickshelf (when public). (some of you may have seen this on display at LEGO World already, I was unable to take pictures of it before LEGO World, because I finished this at 2:30 am the night before the event started ;))
  19. Thanks a lot for this Eric! This helps out greatly! :D I'll buy you a drink in Seattle next month.
  20. Hey hey, this is my very first mech. It's a calamity and rescue unit, basically a big firefighter. MOCpage with some more photos.
  21. This is an entry for a challenge at Classic-Castle where some of the people used to building big castles were challenge to build a castle on a 32x32 baseplate (note: a castle, not a medieval house or something like that). At first I thought, "oh 32x32 is nothing, I'll just sit down for an evening and see what I come up with", but it turned out to be very hard for me to fit everything I wanted to add onto a 32x32 baseplate, but I'm happy with the result :) Brickshelf folder with all the photos.
  22. Hey everyone, I'm going to be at BrickCon this year as well. Although I'm a regular at the cons around here, I've never been to a US con, not even when I lived in the USA. So this will be my first one. I hope to meet lots of you guys there, come say hi! :)
  23. Hey thanks for the great replies :D And big thanks for blogging it, ImperialShadows! Look behind the bookstore, just outside the big loading door
  24. Hey hey, This a remake of an old MOC: Link That one was made two years ago so I figured Jobasha could use a new bookstore. ^ Click image to enlarge Jobasha's Odd Books is specialized in accounts on the occult and old writings about unexplainable magic and so forth. Jobasha will have the answer to anything science can't explain. ^ Click image to enlarge Meanwhile strange plans are in motion on the rooftops. Mindcorp is not involved with this. ^ Click image to enlarge Oh yay, all the floors open up, let's have a look inside ^ Click image to enlarge The ground floor of the bookstore is where Jobasha receives his new goods. Books, scripts and scrolls from all over the world, and from all eras. ^ Click image to enlarge If you have any questions that are bothering you, Jobasha's is the place to go: not only does Jobasha know a lot, his frequent customers are more than knowledgable as well. Aliencat, Mr. Hammersmith and Professor Neilsworth (from previous MOCs such as The Reality Dysfunction) are discussing one of Jobasha's more recent finds. ^ Click image to enlarge Jobasha's little apartment is above the bookstore. It's too small to fit a kitchen so he always eats next door. ^ Click image to enlarge In the Bistro's kitchen, Chef Micah is sampling some of his new creations. ^ Click image to enlarge And of course I couldn't leave out Jobasha throwing the waitor out the window, like in the old one. ^ Click image to enlarge For even more pictures, including the other floors of the Bistro, and detail views of the outside, visit the MOCpage.
  25. Hey cool stuff! I love that glass part in the middle, very nicely done. I also dig the details on the roof, like the bird and the dish receivers. Great job! :)
