  1. I wouldn't give up. We had a wide range of winners from long-term builders to new ones. I'd say just keep building and learning! For storytelling it's not about writing a description, it's about whether your build tells a story through the Lego and draws you into it. One thing you can do to add story is include battle damage or a variant paint job. Those kinds of details draw the viewer into your MOC and make them want to know more.
  2. Your K-Wing did well finishing 6th place in the Fighter category. It was just up against a lot of stiff competition! It scored the lowest in Storytelling. That was a tough metric for most builders this competition. Your K-Wing was beautiful, but it didn't tell much of a story.
  3. Winners have been announced!
  4. Thank you to everyone who participated! It was great to see so many entries and even some people joining EB for the first time just to be able to enter. We hope you'll stick around the Star Wars forum and continue to post amazing MOCs! If you want a great community to be a part of you can also look into joining Mysteries, our current Star Wars RPG. And now for the winners! Vignette: 1st - Justus 2nd - Oky 3rd - Brickshipyard Minifigures: 1st - Oky 2nd - Inconspicuous 3rd - Hammerstein NWC Creatures: 1st - jp-30 2nd - Oky 3rd - Inconspicuous 4th - Mandalorianknight Fighter: 1st - Oky 2nd - Danny_Boy4 3rd - Aliencat This means that @Oky wins our Grand Admiral prize! As such he's removed from the other prize pools which gives us the following winners: Vignette: 1st prize - @Justus 2nd prize - @Brickshipyard Minifigures: 1st prize - @Inconspicuous 2nd prize - @Hammerstein NWC Creatures: (Since Inconspicuous won 1st in Minifigures he's removed from this ranking) 1st prize - @jp-30 2nd prize - @Mandalorianknight Fighter: 1st prize - @Danny_Boy4 2nd prize - @Aliencat I'll be reaching out to the winners in the next day or two. Congratulations to you all!
  5. Placed my first B&P order since the "improvements." Got my bestseller parts in 2 days shipped in the same box as a small set I ordered. The other parts haven't the warehouse of course, but that seemed insanely fast for bestseller parts to get to me.
  6. So much packed into this Vignette! Very well done.
  7. Those legs for Bossok are perfect! What fig are they from?
  8. Now that is a properly tall Vader! These are some really nice mods to SW characters.
  9. Love the Astromech leg guy. Very original.
  10. Mandalorianknight's comments made me chuckle. It's not ridiculing an accent, it's just pointing it out. People can poke fun at American accents too. Or other countries. Talking about accents isn't insensitive. Let the issue go please.
  11. Just an update that judging is about half way done. 2 of our 4 judges have all their scores in and the other 2 are in process. We should have results by the end of next week!
  12. My mistake, I missed that last paragraph.
  13. What a fantastic design! The cockpit is so small, it's amazing you can fit a pilot!
  14. So the wedge plate you use on the nose in the first picture Lego hasn't made in Olive Green yet. I'm going to let the entry pass though because your variants use colors that do exist in Lego's part and color palette.
  15. Love the shape and love that it rotates!
  16. The way you added the rotation function is epic!
  17. Thank you for giving credit to Jerac. I don't think that disqualifies you, but you won't get as many points as if it was your own design from scratch. Fantastic color scheme and backstory!
  18. I love your backstory and the shaping of the ship! The use of printed Star Wars parts adds a nice touch without looking forced. I do think you're stretching the definition of "Fighter" with this ship. But it's a close fit so I think we can let it slide.
  19. Fantastic shaping! Love the details inside the cockpit and how you built the windscreen area.
  20. I love the Jawa and scrap on the back! Not sold on the dino head, but I like the overall look.
  21. Ooo, what eyeballs are those? They work perfectly for this beast! Fantastic work on an obscure beast.
  22. Yes, top entries from each category. Not a sum of all entries.
  23. Thank you everyone for the 94 entries! Certainly a record for as long as I've been running the contest. We'll get started on the judging this weekend and hope to have results within a week or two.
