  1. Simple but effective. I like the neck scarf on your officer.
  2. Great work on this alien! I'm amazed at how well you re-created it!
  3. Wow, your spider looks so much like the reference material. Great work with it!
  4. I love your use of the telephone for the Monk. I think your wall is a little repetitive though.
  5. I was looking for the bat-cessories from the Batcave set and came across a cape for sale for the first time ever! I know others have mentioned being able to buy them before, but I've never seen them available before. It's only Batman's so it's not very useful. But I thought I'd share:
  6. That makes 2 of us! We'll starting judging after the contest closes tonight.

But I'm out of town this week and want to post my next few MOCs before the contest ends and the month is up. So for story's sake we will jump ahead but I promise to fill in the missing pieces soon! A voice came from the cockpit: We're pulling out of hyperspace now. Mick: Well, I guess it's time to go look up an old friend. Cassandra: That's why you had us fly to Wynkanthu? This gas giant is only known because it's near Ord Mantell. Otherwise I don't think it would even show up on the star charts. Mick: Actually, the more basic charts don't have it. But besides being off the grid, we need to ask my old friend for a favor. After landing at one of the only orbital platforms on the planet Mick and Cassandra took a Cloud Car to go meet his friend. After a couple hours of flying, their scanners picked up something. A tiny speck grew larger and a gas harvesting platform came into view. Dodging the giant tangle of hoses hanging out into the atmosphere to harvest gas, they docked with the platform and made the harrowing climb to the top. Flyrl: Mick my old friend, I would say it's good to see you, but good has never followed our interactions. Mick: Flyrl, you know I wouldn't have sought you out unless it was of the utmost importance. I respect your privacy, especially after everything you've been through. First, let me introduce you to Cassandra, one of my students. Cassandra: Nice to meet you. Pardon my directness, but are you a Teedo? Flyrl: Bah! Don't insult me by associating me with that hive mind! I am a Morseerian. My four arms should have told you that immediately. Mick, it seems your training is somewhat lacking if your students do not even know basic alien physiology! Perhaps you should leave and allow me to return to my work. Flyrl turned to go back inside but Mick interrupted and said: I need to find Kale. Flyrl turned back with a look of rage on his face. Flyrl: And why do you think I would know where that murderous scumbag is! Mick: He's deep undercover, and I know the New Republic won't tell me where he's based. But I know you, you would keep tabs on the people you hate the most. Flyrl: Hmprf. You're right about that. I do know where he is. I wanted to make sure he never came within 5 parsecs of me. But why should I tell you where he is? Mick: It's Faust. Somehow he survived and is after me. And if he's after me he'll be coming after Kale and you next. I know it'll be next to impossible for me to convince you to leave your seclusion. But you need to get off planet. We can take you somewhere after we get Kale. Flyrl: You want me to be in the same spaceship as that villain! I'd rather face Faust on my own, on this platform! Mick: And you would die. One shot by a TIE and your balloons would explode and you along with them. Do you really not value life that much? Flyrl didn't say anything for awhile. But then he looked at them and said: You both must be tired after being in that cloud car so long. Come inside and have a bite to eat. They all went inside, Mick hoping he could talk his friend into coming with them. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Morseerian/Legends Since the Morseerian's homeplanet's location is a secret, I went with Drackmar which is known to be at least near their planet.
  8. *Your entry has earned 5 XP* Verpine were known throughout the galaxy as some of the best mechanics and engineers. Their highly technologically geared minds made them highly sought after by anyone needing repairs on their vehicles. The Empire hired one such Verpine to fix a 20-T Railcrawler they were using on Mandell to transport food to areas affected by drought. While the Empire preferred to work with humans. When it came to mechanics they could not deny the Verpine's superiority. Conveyex in action: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Verpine/Legends

Mick continued his story. Mick: My next run-in with Faust was a couple months later on Mon-Cala. By that time CorSec had officially recognized the New Republic and began to work with them. I went to Mon-Cala to help broker an agreement. I met with representatives of the Mon Calamari and the Quarren. The Mon Calamari were using our meeting to try to encourage the Quarren people to side decidedly with the New Republic. At the same time as my meeting, Moff Mylore was making a futile attempt to sway the Mon Calamari people to his side. He was one of many Moffs claiming a right to lead the remnants of the Empire. Though he had been more successful than most, there was nothing he could say that would change the Mon Calamari's minds. Not after all the horrors their people had experienced at the hand of the Emperor. Somehow Faust had risen from the rank of Stormtrooper and had become an aide to Moff Mylore. I didn't know him from Luke Skywalker, but he apparently recognized me. I was thankful the Mon Calamari had this underwater meeting space for us. They would have been more comfortable meeting in the water with us humans using respirators. But they were consciences enough to know that was far from easy for us. The atmosphere in the base was extremely humid, but it was better than being soaked! To Be Continued... https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Quarren
  10. It's from the CMF series female baker chef.

But I'm out of town this week and want to post my next few MOCs before the contest ends and the month is up. So for story's sake we will jump ahead but I promise to fill in the missing pieces soon! Mick continued his story. Mick: When I got home, I found Corellia to be a mess. My father was ok, but there was rampant crime and he was scared to go out. I helped as best I could, but after a few months I couldn't stand by and do nothing. So I joined CorSec. While the Diktat was still an Imperial appointee. CorSec was in the process of removing all ties with the Empire and returning to putting Corellian priorities first. One of my first jobs with CorSec was on the streets of Cornet City. The Empire had imposed a special tax a few years back that in hindsight was probably to help pay for the Death Stars. They hired various beings to be tax collectors for them. Now that the Empire was in shambles, these tax collectors mostly kept the money for themselves. In one of the poorer districts a Chadra-Fan was going door to door collecting money with an Imperial escort. There were still holonet ads proclaiming the evils of the Jedi and the virtue of the Emperor for destroying them. I came up to this little party before the tax money had been exacted. I told them that by the order of CorSec all Imperials were to vacate the planet. All Imperial activity was to cease. I didn't know it at the time, but one of the Stormtroopers was Faust. This was our first interaction. To Be Continued... https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Chadra-Fan
  12. *Your entry has earned 6 XP* Mick's Story: Corellian Security (CorSec) Building Allies Intelligence Connections Junction Murder Corellian Apartment Party Interference Clandestine Meeting Investigation in the Sand A Turn of Events TBA TBA Imperial Bid OoC: I am almost done with the 2 MOCs that make up the TBA slots in my story. But I'm out of town this week and want to post my next few MOCs before the contest ends and the month is up. So for story's sake we will jump ahead but I promise to fill in the missing pieces soon! Mick: Now that we're safe, I guess I should fill you all in. Imperial Officer Faust and I go way back. Right after Endor, I headed back to Corellia. The galaxy was in turmoil. With the Emperor dead there was an immediate power vacuum. The Rebellion was still a bunch of outlaws. The Senate had been disbanded a couple years before by Palpatine so regional control was handled by the Moffs. On Corellia that role was assumed by the Diktat. I wanted to go home and make sure my father was okay. On the way the transport I was on had hyperdrive problems and we had to stop at Bryexx for repairs. They let all the passengers off for a few hours while the repair crews worked. Moff Mylore, seeing his opportunity to become more than a regional lackey, was giving a speech about Imperial rule. He talked about the virtues of the Imperial system, how important it was to uphold Imperial values, how the people of Bryexx needed to be a beacon of light during this dark time, and more along those lines. His main point was that although there were rumors of the Emperor's death, the people of Bryexx did not need to fear. He, their Moff, would continue to lead them with a steady hand. He also stated that if other systems began to panic that he would be able to step in and guide them . It was clear he was making a bid to become more than just a Moff. He wanted their help to become a new power in that part of the galaxy. Mick: I knew attempts like this were probably being made all over the galaxy right now. But after all the fighting with the Rebellion I was sick and tired of it all. I just wanted to get home.
  13. Yes, that is a good plan. However, I don't have rights over that subform, just the Star Wars one. So I'll ask @Bob De Quatre or @Stash2Sixx if they can help.
  14. I'm going to add to this topic even though it's old. I'm a huge fan of soundtracks and my OST Pandora station is the one I listen to the most. Great theme! He hasn't done a lot that I've heard, but what he has done is very good. So glad you mentioned this one! One of my favorites. Jerry Goldsmith is underrated in my opinion. Just had to say these are some of my favs as well. If I had to pick 1 overall favorite it has to be Danny Elfman. I love how versatile he is. Serenada Schizophrana - I Forget Alice in Wonderland - Alice's Theme Corpse Bride - Piano Duet If I have to pick 1 album, it's Harry Gregson William's Sinbad. A personal favorite from the album is Surfing. A few other favorites not already mentioned: Mychael Danna - Surf's Up - Legends James Newton Howard - Last Airbender - Flow Like Water Michael Giacchino - Jupiter Ascending - I Hate My Life Ramin Djawadi - Great Wall - First Battle Bear McCreary - Black Sails - Parson's Farewell Hans Zimmer - Madagascar 3 - New York City Surprise Hans Zimmer - Lone Ranger - Finale John Powell - Rescuing Penny James Horner - Avatar (I'm really not sure how Avatar's 2-4 will manage without him) James Horner - Balto - Heritage of the Wolf Jerry Goldsmith - The Mummy Steve Jablonsky - Transformers - Arrival to Earth Steve Jablonsky - Transformers 4 - Tessa Steve Jablonsky - Transformers 4 - Autobots Reunite And one that's not a soundtrack but is still great: Thanks for the Falcon
  15. *Your entry has earned 4 XP* Zomal, the Defel, was visiting the nearby planet of Centares when a squad of Stormtroopers marched by. Being a Defel, he was able to blend into the shadows of the trees and escape detection. Had he not been born with such a fortunate ability he surely would have been captured. The Moff in this sector was very xenophobic and did not want aliens running around his worlds freely. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Defel
  16. It's online at Target.com right now too.
  17. Glad to have you!
  18. *Your entry has earned 3 XP* While Kalus was visiting with the Harch, other representatives with the New Republic where making their own calls. Loos, Bith New Republic liaison was meeting with a Shistavanen named Curtis. The Shistavanen homeworld was in the same sector as Bith, so it made it easy for Loos to make the trip. OoC: The Shistavanen homeworld is Uvena which is not on our map. But Wookieepedia says it's in M18 so I chose the largest planet in the sector for this species. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Shistavanen/Legends
  19. Thanks for the feedback! What would you have used instead of tiles? SNOT floor?
  20. Bricklink is in the process of adding all the new minifigure parts for the new SW sets. I'd guess they'd have it done by next week if you want to try checking there.
  21. Great MOC! I love the round 2x2 Trans-Orange for the lava. Pick-A-Brick wall? I also like your unique techniques on the temple wall, but they feel a little blocky for some reason. The Minecraft piece above the door is NPU. And your microscale ship is great!
  22. The whole build is amazing. The way you manged 3 rooms on that base is great. I also have to point out the copper shields you used behind some of the blue lights in the Skakoan's lab is NPU.
  23. I love your ring around the planet! And you captured your models very well with the dark lighting.
  24. *Your entry has earned 7 XP* The Givin were known for their mathematical prowess. The could calculate complex hyperspace routes in their heads, something most species had to rely on droids for. This skill also made them good engineers. On their home world of Yag'Dhul, the surface is very in-hospitable to most species. To allow others to work and live there, many underground cities have been formed. Nalas lives in one such city where he runs a speeder design shop. Drawing up the plans on their computers, the Givin then relay the instructions to their employees. Nalas' speeders are all the rage on Coruscant right now and he has a hard time keeping up with the demand. _ https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Givin/Legends
