Unread content? Bugged? Or how to use it?
MKJoshA replied to Kalais's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'll add that the "Content I Started" stream is suffering from the same issue. My Dragon Masters topic that I created this week isn't show up in the feed. -
They probably had more demand than sets in stock. It happens, especially when there's a promo running like x2 points. I had that happen to me for the Daily Bugle. Took forever to get the set shipped, but after 2 months it finally arrived. I "complained" after a month and they sent me some free points. Thankfully I didn't need it urgently for a present or anything. I bought it because it was on sale and too good to pass up. Hopefully the same will happen for you.

Resetting the streams sounds like a good option. I've built my own streams before to try to get around the errors in the default ones. What you've stated is accurate. -
I wouldn't go so far as to call them a scam, but I think your analysis is too lite on Lego. The reality is that you get that exclusive GWP only if you buy the set on the first day, sometimes within the first few hours. And yes, the terms and conditions say "while supplies last." But to create a limited number of copies of a highly valued GWP and then create a history of there not being enough to last past the first day and you get the nightmare that GWPs have become. It's not a scam and there's no deceit. But I would say there is plenty of marketing trickery going on. What Lego should do is mass produce the GWPs to ensure they have enough to last the entire promo period. And then any left overs get sold at retail price (I've seen many of them listed at $30 retail value). They can even wait 6 months before selling the remaining stock to ensure day-one buyers get to enjoy it more before the general public.

My plan is to use one for display and the other to part out. I'd use the figures and pieces in MOCs. At that price, it's going to be a great PPP and with figures I couldn't get for decent prices on the aftermarket. I really want to keep one for display, but I also love making my own scenes. That's why I ended up getting a 2nd Rivendell. With Barad-Dur I just ended up buying a 2nd set of the orcs. I don't need more black pieces and I'm not going to MOC often enough with the Mouth or Sauron to justify paying $60 each for them. Though the helmet is tempting me...

Oh wow, they did it. They did it justice. It's amazing. I think the tan for the baseplates is an odd choice, but it doesn't diminish just how incredible this looks. I may need to go sell some of my older sets so I can afford to get 2 copies.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
MKJoshA replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
As has been showcased, there are plenty of times pieces have only been available for a short period on PAB. So that's always a risk. I just think that the Vending Machine parts aren't going to be like that. There's been too much chatter from official Lego sources about their placement on PAB for them to be a limited run. I could be wrong, but it feels like those are pieces we won't have to worry about. Nevertheless, I've already placed 2 orders to get at least a small handful of the parts I want -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
MKJoshA replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
In a vacuum I'd be inclined to agree with you. But the problem is Megablocks showed great shaping, detail, and articulation can be done at a smaller scale. To be lacking in these areas compared to one of their competitors and then charge x times more is what bothers me. -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
MKJoshA replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
So far these are all an easy "pass" for me. Way too much money for sets that are just ok. Have you all seen the commercial yet? That is so cringe. Openly marketing to millennials and calling them out for still being obsessed with the toys they grow up with (of which I am one, I admit) doesn't seem like a great marketing strategy. -

Try searching by set number (21358), or limiting your search to just Minifigure parts and accessories. The "new" parts are quite a few pages back in the queue. -

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, before we get any further into 2026 and before the Smart Brick information drops I've officially started the 2026 Discussion thread. We can now move discussion to that thread. News (substantiated rumors) should also get posted in the 2026 News Thread. The only purpose of starting a 2026 thread is to have a clean slate for discussion. It keeps things a little neater to start with page 1 for the new year and not have to go back 215 pages to find something you know you said this year. See you all over there to discuss the upcoming reveals. -

I really hope we get some standard Marines in this wave. The Marine Ship seems like a given to include them. I was really bummed that Koby and Helmeppo had CADET ruining the re-use of their torsos.

I just finished building Barad-Dur last week and I think the design choice really works for it. I have confidence they can pull off the same with Minas Tirith.

[REVIEW] 60470 Explorers' Arctic Polar Express Train
MKJoshA replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great review! I love the extra play features. It's certain elevates the set above go-around-in-a-circle. I recently picked up a used 60336 Freight Train for a good price. It's will be my first foray into Lego trains myself. The real test is whether it holds my kids attention or not. I imagine this arctic version would have a better chance at that. -
Give me Q with "I am not a Merry Man!" Worf.
