  1. Gotta say that I was personally hoping for Geonosis camo mini-figure, but I would imagine that the printing would be quite complex. I agree that we are more likely to see a Rancor Battalion print. However, I would give my left nipple for a version of ARC trooper Commander Colt in the battle pack. (Disclaimer, this is an exaggeration, I love my nipples equally and would not give up either of them)
  2. Capt. Kirk , the majority of the AFOL here appreciate the fact that you are opening up dialog between the designer and the fans. Not something we often get a chance to experience around here. Very cool. Personally, I love this idea of having both good and bad characters in a battle pack. Here's hoping that we will see these in stores this winter. Especially if we would get a new helmet for the ARC trooper, like what was seen in the show in season 3, and a different variant of ARF troopers. Also commando droids are long coming and I am excited to see them in a set. Thanks for the information.
  3. Article on Rebelscum which tells us this juicy tidbit... Going commando. Filoni confirmed the appearance of clone commandos, but said it wouldn't be Delta Squad because he doesn't want to mess with that continuity. Fanboy SCREAM! http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/SDCC_TCW_Season_4_Panel_Highlights_139688.asp And the Star Wars blog which gives us a picture of Fit Fisto shirtless! SQUEAL! http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2011/07/23/comic-con-2011-the-clone-wars-season-4-panel/
  4. All I want is Nick Fury and the Helicarrier. Is that too much to ask? Oh, and some sharks with frickin laser beams attached to their heads. No?
  5. New teaser from SDCC. It's a trap! http://www.starwars.com/video/view/001266.html And...an interesting article from IGN talking about the footage shown from said Comic-Con and what to expect from season 4. http://tv.ign.com/articles/118/1183191p1.html
  6. Yeah, I don't think that you will. With the 20% off coupon you can't typically stack it with any other offer. So you got a much better deal with the bogo promo than the other coupon. I would advise against taking them back and just enjoy the deal you got.
  7. Looks like season three is available for pre-order in the US for $40 at Amazon. As much as I disliked about half of the episodes this past season I am hard pressed to think of anything else that I am looking forward to purchasing as much as this. Outside of Lego, of course. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Complete-Season-Blu-ray/dp/B004LROMU2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1308790915&sr=8-3
  8. There is another preview video for season 4 on starwars.com. It is the one they showed at WonderCon this year and it has far more in it than the Cartoon Network one. If you look at about 12 seconds in, you will see these crazy bio-hazard looking clones riding on gunships. And maybe I am crazy but the fighters the clones are flying look similar to a z-95. And the new jedi at the end who looks like a certain cook in the Attack of the Clones looks wicked sweet. Happy watching. http://www.starwars.com/video/view/001247.html
  9. I agree with you on most of your points Stegoceras. I do find it interesting how so few fans of the Clone Wars realize how heavily the EU influences the show. Many of the story lines have been lifted directly from EU comics or books. For example the Battle of Geonosis was taken from one of the original Clone Wars comics. And the idea of a clone deserting from the GAR came from Karen Traviss and her Republic Commando novels. Without the many great EU stories and ideas, the Clone Wars show might not be so rich and detailed as it is today. Now if only they had less political episodes...
  10. I am a little late to the party here because I don't know a huge amount about this new line. The one thing that struck me was that it seems to have a touch of Halo flavor to it. I am assuming that the humans' guns are a new mold but their helmets are not, correct? And does it look like there are different human torsos rather than one base printing?
  11. So...five more episodes to save this train-wreck of a season.
  12. I have been waiting for these with baited breath. Arealight didn't disappoint as usual. The Captain Rex cold assault trooper helmet is epic. Here's hoping he does some printing on the airborne trooper helmets in the future.
  13. Thanks much! And good man! Tom Brady is the epitome of all that is evil in the world. Anyway this is a fantastic model, if you have ever been to Columbus and seen the Horseshoe in person this model is a dead-ringer for it.
  14. Ah, crap. My apologies, that's what I get for not scanning all the topics thoroughly. Thanks for the heads-up brickdoctor.
  15. I saw this on ESPN today. Since I am a Buckeye myself, it warmed my heart to see my two favorite things merged. Ohio State football and Lego. Check it out! http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/index?id=6037754
  16. Excellent find! I don't know much about the 3 in 1 packs. Are they Lego.com and Lego store exclusives?
  17. I was watching the second season of The Clone Wars on blu ray. In the Landing at Point Rain episode, you can see that the drone Geonosians( the dudes without wings) are green while the winged fellas are brown. Since the drones are the ones who fly the fighters, that would be my guess why we are getting a green Genosian in the Geonsian fighter set.
  18. I have to say I agree with you. I thought that this was one of the better character driven episodes in the past three seasons. And with the recent onslaught of senate episodes, this was a breath of fresh air. I was a bit surprised that they decided to use Ventress' EU backstory. I thought they had planned to go in another direction. The fan blade starfighter was fantastic. Even better than the original version.
  19. Sadly, he won't be able to take pictures at the London Toy Fair. They have a strict no photo policy. But detailed descriptions of the sets would be worth the trip for sure.
  20. I am motivated to buy the sets mostly by the figures included. But with all the great new Jedi figures they have coming out this summer, I can't even think of a Jedi that I want that they haven't made yet. I do have to say that even though I got the most recent RGS, I would love a new one with the side turrets that they so sadly excluded from the last model.
  21. Not a problem. Just trying to help my fellow fans out.
  22. Yep, that would be it. Amazon has a release date of September 19 of this year.
  23. My hope would be for some exclusive clone, but a Han sounds more probable.
  24. On StarWars.com, they have a preview of upcoming DK books. One of the books is a Lego Star Wars Character Encyclopedia with about 200 characters in it. Here is the blurb from the website. In October, the smash hit combination of LEGO, Star Wars and DK continues with the LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia. More than 200 minifigures are profiled in this hardcover release, which is slated to include an exclusive mystery minifigure! Below is a sample page featuring Luke and R2-D2 Here is the link, scroll to the bottom to see the cover. http://www.starwars.com/vault/books/dk_2011/index.html
  25. After doing some searching I managed to find the last Bounty Hunter Gunship and the last one of Clone Trooper Battle packs at a local TRU here in Ohio. I forgot that they are having a sale on all Star Wars Lego and was pleasantly surprised to get 15 percent off of my purchases.
