Mortimer stands at the ready, shield and handcannon clasped in his hands, doing his best to steel himself for the coming battle.
-
The Warden's gaze is instantly drawn to Jules' face. However, Mortimer looks away quickly, his visage paling visibly, his left hand cupping his eyepatch, fingernails digging into his forehead. "By the Gods," he mutters, his voice thick. "I'm sorry, Captain." He breathes deeply for a few moments before turning his attention to the scene again. He quickly walks up to the torture table and cuts Jules' loose, searching on and under the table for anything important.

"Looking back is a mistake," Mortimer mutters. "Keep moving forward. Leave regrets in your wake." The words sounded like an echo, as if the Warden repeated them often-- probably to himself.

Mortimer shuts up, clenching his weapon and shield in-hand. Things were getting shaky. At least none of the party had died. Yet.

Mortimer finds himself scowling, hand clenched into a fist. He turns, ready to rush to the lab with the party, but slides up beside Dyric. "Jules dead?" he whispered, a little paranoid about the assassin's words. Gruesome sights rattled him.

"Great, another one of these bastards," Mortimer mutters. He hefts his shield and reaches for his handcannon, but waits to engage-- lest things don't turn out as expected.

-
Mortimer pockets the gloves and leans towards Hoke, wondering what the dragoon found.
-
Mortimer walks up to the desk, inspecting what's on it. He picks up the gloves in order to get to what looks like paper underneath.

Em follows behind the party, watching their backs.
-
"I suppose it was a long shot. Have we the telescope? I doubt you can see much in this darkness, but..."
-
"I can hardly see ten feet in front of me," Mortimer mutters. "Can your dragon scout without alerting anyone?"
-
Mortimer uses the Earthwyrm Fang, readying himself for whatever lay ahead of the party on the second floor.
-
"I suppose he has," Mortimer remarks pensively. Boomingham certainly left an impression. "I'll follow your lead."
-
I've been low-key following it, and I'm definitely going to be investing in it after a few more patches/features are added. It certainly looks amazing and like it has a lot of potential-- especially for building. It seems jam-packed with a lot of charm and I can't wait to see where they go with it.

"From the sound of things, we've another enemy up on the gunnery platform, perhaps." Mortimer shook his head, waving the note around and squinting. "Onwards and upwards, then?"
-
Mortimer rubs at his shield, scowling at the scuffs from the onslaught of enemies. He inspects the area, looking for anything interesting, and adjusts the eyepatch on his face.
-
Em lowers his handcannon, doing nothing.

Mortimer uses Erdy's Handcannon on Morgan from the back row.
-
Mortimer ducks behind his shield again, preparing for the oncoming onslaught, and chugs a grand potion from the back row.

I kind of want to keep the Reaper's Heart for RP's sake, honestly, though loot is always nice.
-
I want to say something along the lines of "The Visionary" to poke at my hero's fading sight, but...

Mortimer attacks Crimson Novice A with his Blazing Bow from the Back Row if he's revived.
