So I have gotten many requests on how I built the Helm's Deep expansion based on EuroLock's original. Luckily I took pictures of it while i was building it, I had no idea these would be so sought after. If you are looking to build this expansion you can check out my Flickr set of WIP pictures. Every Module is covered for the most part, the front gates didn't get very much detail in the pictures, I only raised them up 2 bricks... I hope that this is a useful guide for people looking to build this (and not take a month of staring at pictures of the original finished product like I did) and if people are wondering what I bought in terms of bricklink, I can include what I ordered, but I cant tell you what I bought in the PAB except for lots of DGB bricks. Good job man! i really like the action scenes! Did you buy the actual helms deep set? I really like the doorway from the top of the deeping wall, it fits very well.

This is encouraging to hear, thanks a lot! For the most part i used your pictures as an instruction manual. And i didn't even notice them to be mistakes hahaha. I'll add one but i don't have the hammer and i don't feel like he would look good without it. As well the shield above the arch into the keep, i don't own one, and didn't feel like sanding off the crownie logo from one of their shields. Thanks Mark, your MOCs are great too :)

Hey guys, thanks alot! Shroffy i used 2 helms deep hahaha i still have leftover though... And a lot i ordered from BL and got from PAB. probably costing $500 if not more.

Hey guys thanks again for the support. ManInATopHat, yeah It has a working portcullis which can be raised/lowered from the upper deck, the chain works and i made it so a mini figure could turn the winch. When it's raised it can be held in place so it doesn't decapitate a figure entering :P

After seeing Eurolock's Helms Deep mod/moc I decided I had to do my own. TLG's original set was lacking, in all respects, so something had to be done. Any feedback/comments would be great, thanks a lot! You can check it out on my flickr:

So this is one of my castles from a while ago (a long time ago) its supposed to fit in with the Fantasy Era sets. Its not really that great but that's okay. It has a working portcullis which can be raised/lowered from the upper deck. After being raised it can be held in place by a peg. I need to take it apart because i need the pieces for another model i'm building now. I would like to buy the pieces but as many of you know, money does not grow on trees. Anyways, if you guys want to give me some feed back that would be cool. Also, i know i made a mistake on the back portion of the castle but to keep the symmetry of the arches on the ends of the back, i over looked it.
