  1. I'm pretty content with how the story is so far, it hasn't even been a year yet, so I'll give it some time. We have another book coming soon, the title "revenge of the skull spiders" is interesting to me, and I'm hoping for it to be decent. We'll see.
  2. same here, I'm just not liking the designs. Maybe some of the new ones will interest me, but beside that, is the obi-wan fighter the red one from ep 3? I'd like to see that put out.
  3. So i haven't been keeping up with these lately, but there's not much I'm interested in, the stormtrooper pack and obi-wan fighter sound ok, but other than that ehh. I'll wait until I see em.
  4. Ehhh. I don't know about these. Being prelims I won't make a call just yet, but I'm not liking the look of these.
  5. why must you tease us.But seriously , it does kinda look like the skrall armor will return. Hoping it does, cause that piece was neat.
  6. Interesting, blurry as all hell so far that I can barely make out a thing, but interesting.
  7. I really, really hope the part about the star wars torso and no gearbox is inaccurate. I'll hold judgment for legit pictures, but I seriously don't like the sound of that at all.
  8. well I'm not a mod of course, but makes more sense to me than to start another thread for the same topic.
  9. For the toa I'm going with onua. I'm not even sure why, he's just cool. Protectors, the jungle protector vizuna is my fave. Really like the bow and colors. For the skulls I like basher. The horns, colors, function and overall build sell it for me.
  10. took some digging, but i have uncovered it. I also apparently posted in it there a little over a year ago (it's been that long already?) And my thoughts haven't changed much. Although one thing I'd like to stress is female villains. In g1 even the water characters (vezok, takadox, etc) ended up being male as well. Leaving things really unbalanced. I mean we did get roodaka as people have said, but also like people have said that one wasn't the best. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97825&st=100#entry1944175
  11. I have a small few, Star wars republic attack gunship. What I believe is my largest set in terms of piece count, and fun to build, I've done so more than once. Dino attack t-1 typhoon. That thing is huge, looks awesome, and is just fun. And a mention to the Bionicle 2015 toa. They were great fun just because of how much I liked the original line.
  12. Lamb of god: vii, sturm und drang. I quite like this new album, one of lamb of God's best in my opinion.
  13. this 10x. I abused my poor sets as a little kid. All those broken and sharpied on parts... One other little thing is not picking up bionicle titans axxon and brutaka. The aftermarket knows no mercy.
  14. I doubt lego would kill off action figure themes all together, I always thought things like ultrabuilds and such as more of a side dish to the main course of system based sets. CCBS is built to last and evolve, or so I've heard. And let's not forget that Hero factory had a five year run. That's pretty long for the average theme. Even if it wasn't a hit like the early days of bionicle, it could still profit decent enough which I believe is the case. I'm sure one of our users like Aanchir or Deevee will be far more accurate than what I can say however.
  15. Let's see, I'll rank them best to worst: Basher. Definitely my favorite. He pulls the minotaur vibe amazingly, the function is unique, and it's just plain cool looking. Although floppy arms keep it from being perfect. Warrior: I love archers, and this is no exception. That alone puts it pretty high up, and the extra weapon, the mask, and well done bone placement make it even better. Grinder: while a little gappy, I still like it. The mask and horns especially. Seriously, the mask, horns, color and build make it look like a bionicle Satan. That's awesome. Slicer: it's ok, but not a huge fan. The gearbox is creative, sure. Buy it's just too skimpy for me, even for a skeleton. I think even one 3m shell on a leg would have gone a long way. This one's just ok to me. Scorpio: poor scorpy, it's not your fault you weren't designed well. VBBNs mod to this set would make it so much better though, so there's that I guess. Despite the flaws I don't think I'd call it the worst bionicle set ever. And if LoSS counts he would go just above slicer, definitely not my fave, but not too bad. And of course this is just my opinion on them.
  16. Eyes wide shut. It was... interesting. And confusing. Not one for me.
  17. Ey. Don't knock the original colors. That's one of my favorite titan sets. But aside, really well done. Especially that hand and use of the Hewkii mask.
  18. While I don't want to start with g1 vs g2 again, there are a couple points I'd like to mention: "Simple, streamlined as f*%k" correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume you mean bionicle using ccbs. Which I'll admit to being hesitant at first, but they really are far more complex than early bionicle. Compare a protector to any matoran build from g1, and you'll see they're really not that simple just because they're not covered in pistons. But of course it's my opinion. "Targeted towards younger kids" exactly. Lego is a kids toy first wether we like it or not. "No extra masks" this one confuses me, every toa set has an elemental mask, golden mask, and skull spider mask. And all the other sets have at least 2 masks in each. And one thing I never got was the argument that you can't imagine something because there's already canon in place. So what? If I wanna pretend that jaller is a guitar ace from outer space and gets together to play metal shows every week, what's the big deal? It may be ridiculous, but is Greg Farshety gonna show up at my door and say, "you're not following the story right" and take my bonkles away? No. To me anyway the point of lego is that you can build your own characters, story, and most importantly mocs. But again, just my opinion.
  19. Scopio! Sure, maybe a pain to build, but it looks great and is lots of fun once finished. thornatus and axalara are also pretty awesome.
  20. Maybe not the worst, but definitely not high on the list. The vehicles were awesome, but the canisters... not so much. I have some that I like, (lewa and krika specifically) but other than that I really don't care for the rest too much.
  21. I'm thinking 2006. The piraka will always be my favorite, and the titans we're awesome. Same with 2007, (maxilos is one of the best titans ever) and I quite like the barakki and mahri. 8 I wasn't a fan of, I liked a few sets, but WAY to much grey and silver. They just looked boring. (Also cracking parts) If it weren't for the breaking pieces I would've voted 9 too, I actually really like most glatorian builds. And the abundance of titans and vehicles was cool.
  22. That's just amazing. 10/10 would hang. But honestly, I wonder who they hired to throw this together.
  23. Agreed, basher is definitely my fave. although I'm not too keen on Scorpio or slicer, but that's just me.
  24. I've got the exclusive mask from the ultimate dume combo set, and the golden ignika from 2009 if that counts. That's about it for me.
  25. I'll take LoSS over this. Easily the worst set this year IMO. At least LoSS had leg articulation albeit very little. and To me the humanoid mask is very out of place and just odd looking, same going for that tail contraption. The fact that this has the same mask as basher doesn't bother me too much as I won't be looking to get this.
