Before I realized this had its own topic, I said in the 2015 topic that I'm all for breaking the tribes gender rules. The glatorian already did, so I would like to see more diversity from there. avatar the last airbender was very popular with males and had good female leads like katara and toph, plus others like the kioshi warriors and azula. I would love to see characters like them in bionicle. However I don't think gender bending existing characters is a good idea. But then again, I don't want a reboot in the first place.

Wow. I just got back from a week long camping trip, and when I saw this thread had 300+ posts since then, I knew something else must have come up. now I must say like dorek, I'm not 100% convinced quite yet. But it has made me a bit more hopeful. With that said, let me touch on a few things I missed throughout the week. On the topic of the Toa Mata coming back, I'm all for it. The set names almost sound like a prequel to me, but I'm kind doubtful that would happen. I'm just hoping they don't reboot it and throw out all the old story. On the topic of more gender diversity throughout the elements, I think that could work very well. A lot of times I'll compare bionicle to the last air bender since they both have a lot to do with elements and tribes. I think a toph like toa of stone or an azula like villain of fire(or maybe lightning) would be awesome. On the topic of the height of the figures, I grew up with the piraka and inika, so that's not something that ever bothered me, I personally really liked the phantoka/mistika versions of the nuva, so I welcome the new taller figures, but I understand why many would be disappointed. So in a nutshell, IF bionicle comes back with the new mata/nuva, I'll be a happy camper.

Are Inika builds really that awkwardly-proportioned?
arc replied to Lord-Vorahk's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I do.Anyway, looking at them now I can see a difference, but it isn't something that ever bothered me. My favorite bionicle sets were the ones the came out in 2006, but I did grow up having them, so I may have a bias opinion. -
I can kinda see Gresh there, but the character on the bottom looks more like 2004 nuju than kopaka to me.

you can't view member profiles until you've reached 10 posts. On the topic of tahu, I don't mind larger figures at all, but tahu seems better as a smaller size. I didn't really care for the mistika version.

Something I just noticed looking at the store set up picture is the sets are in boxes instead if the usual canister. I was kinda hoping that the canister would return. To me, that was one of the most recognizable things about it (in the store anyway) and it wouldn't be quite right without them. Or maybe I'm just too nitpicky.

Wow. I was just considering selling some of my old bionicles, but this might make me reconsider. IF this is real, (I'm not completely convinced just yet) one thing I would like to see is better armor pieces. What I mean by that is the armor on most heroes are just flat. They can have printing sometimes, and small pieces can be attached, but it just seems kinda plain after a while IMO. So I'm hoping they add a bit more variety like the old bionicle. Just a nitpicky thing. Oh, and I would love it if the piraka came back. Vezok was the first bionicle I ever got, and remains my favorite one.

Does anyone know what set the new version will be in?
-
the last one had 16 plain ones, 2 red, and 2 blue. Plus a brick built droideka. Making a total of 21. So the new one has under half. Which is pretty bad if you ask me.
-
Very nice! And accurate as far as I can tell. Love the janitor!
-
about 7 plain ones, and a pilot.

Now that the naboo figures have been revealed. To be in a mtt set,I'm hoping we get a tan aat pretty soon, here's my idea: Battle of theed: minifigs would be a commander battle droid, 2 regular battle droids, panaka, two naboo guards, and padme. The set would be an aat and a flash speeder. Priced around 60$

or possibly the rumored UCS slave 1.
-
I think it's because one of them has two curved arms so it can fit on the stap. So that one has no reason to carry the blaster if piloting the stap.

Could someone post the picture please? The link wont work. EDIT: nevermind, I found it. Honestly its kind of disappointing. It seems like a huge step back from the last one. And the high amount of studs on the sides make it kinda ugly. Plus the low amount of droids in comparison to the last is also disappointing. Overall I had high hopes for the set, this is kinda a let down. Oh well. I'm hoping we get a new AAT next year. Hopefully that wont end up like this.
-
I believe this came up before, I think the pic of phantom menace figs that came up a little bit ago come with it. Hopefully we get confirmation soon.
-
If anyone has both the new at-at and the 2010 version, could they post a comparison pic?
-
I'm hoping we get both an MTT and AAT this year. (And hopefully a theed generator next year) bring on the pictures!
-
it looks like a 1x1 w/clip on a jumper plate with 2 1x1 plates w/"teeth"EDIT: ninja'd once again.
-
I think this new tpm set is a mtt, but I hope the other unrevealed set is an aat with a new padme. The two sets would be perfect together.
-
I saw it recently too, and I have to agree. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't excellent either IMO.

All the waiting doesn't disappoint, this is truly awesome! Have you considered making it a cuusoo project?

Starkiller. He just looks awesome. (Not to mention violent, with blood printing)
