    Oh my gosh! It's almost as if some men are dumb and some are competent and skilled at their jobs, and some women are damsels in distress and others are smart and kick butt. That doesn't sound like the real world at all.* *Or at least every cliched stereotype covered by all kinds of other media.

    I was in the store the other day and very happy to see at least 4 city sets that featured female figures in roles such as fire fighter, paramedic, etc, not just "damsel in distress on a boat" as there is in some sets.

    What I find interesting is the male scientists are mostly generic doctors or mad scientists. Females have gotten more specialization, Surgeon, Nurse, Labcoat wearing scientist.

    Is it too much to hope that these will be actual minifigures and not the minidolls?

    Finally was in a Target that had Series 11 figures, but they were pretty picked through. Managed to get 2 yetis, 4 scientists, 1 welder, 1female robot, 1 sax player, 1 bobby and 2 mountain climbers, so mostly decent, love the yetis, need more scientists for the flasks, the sax is great and the bobby is just a fun figure all around.

    Went to Target Today hoping to find Series 11. What I found were two brand new boxes of Series 6... Series 6? Seriously guys? How long have these been in the back room I wonder. I'm gonna wait till they go on clearance before I buy though. Shouldn't take too long.

    Looks like there's going to be a series 8 Santa in this year's city advent calendar, so that might be cheaper/easier.

    Another excellent review. I'm a little disappointed by the fact that the two full sets to a box thing seems to be a regular occurrence, but I guess that's just the way it goes. Nice to see what we're getting into before they come out.

    Definitely need one of each, as per usual. Gonna stock up on the female scientists though, for the woman in lab coat and the new colors of flasks. My wife is already obsessed with the yeti.

    Went to Toys R Us today, they had something like 7 boxes sitting out, mostly full. Not sure if they'd been gone through, but I've already got the ones I wanted and Mr. Gold just isn't doing anything for me. Picked up an extra Trendsetter and painter though, just cause they were doing buy one get one 50% off.

    On my first random picks out of a display box I managed to snag 3 medusas, so the display must have been from a box of more than 60 since there should only be 2.

    Picked up 16 random bags from a couple of Targets today. My random 16 selection is a lot better than any random 16 I've gotten from LEGO.com with previous series. Only a couple of duplicates (3 medusas entirely by chance, which is awesome, and 2 roman commanders, also awesome). Just need the skydiver, the warrior woman, the paint baller and the baseball player now. Still a bunch left at one of the Targets so I'll have to drop by again in the new few days to see what I can get.

    Target is only in the U.S. and Canada, and Canada is only just recently.

    Yeah, I'd definitely trade that motorcycle mechanic for his motorcycle mechanic.

    I feel very much the same way. I haven't even had the chance to search any yet, none in my area. I am very glad that I'm not too impressed by Mr. Gold though, I don't really feel like I want to even bother hunting for him. I'd rather just get the regular minifigures from the set. Give me medusa over Mr. Gold any day.
