  1. OOC:Erdathcath should probably act before reviving Jeaux since there is about a 1/3 chance of raising him with roots of life As Jeaux felt the restoring energies bring him out of the darkness, he fires his cannon at the Tempest Impaler from the back row
  2. Yep. Roots of life will revive fallen party members with 1HP, though I'm not sure if that occurs before or after it heals all of the party members.
  3. Jeaux cast another spell of darkness at the Prismatic Impaler from the back row
  4. Jeaux channels the energy from his amethyst through the handcannon, directing a spell of darkness at the Prismatic Impaler from the back row
  5. "There do seem to be an awful lot of disposable minions with inflated egos." Jeaux readied his hand cannon for battle.
  6. "I give you the same offer I have given to all the regret's soldiers so far. Stand aside and no harm will come to you. Our mission is to kill the regret, there is no reason for you to sacrifice your own life or the life of your child to protect him."
  7. Jeaux watches the situation unfold. It seems clear that Karie and Boomingham are trying to manipulate Masson's emotions to break whatever control the Regret has forced upon him. Jeaux's own lack of feeling makes him unsuited for the task and as such he chooses to stay out of it until someone else in the party makes the decision to abandon hope of restoring Masson and begin the process of destroying him.
  8. When I first glanced at the set I thought it was the original, then I noticed the extra detail and style. Truly a wonderful refresh of a much loved classic set.
  9. Jeaux thinks about the map for a while before making his way into the maze OOC: Spoiler-ified in case anyone else wants to try and solve it.
  10. Jeaux looked at the device indicated by the spirit. "Any idea what that device does? Also, why are you here?"
  11. "If you wish to stay here and die, then we will not intervene. Though before we go, I have one question regarding the scroll you were seeking. Can it be used to reverse its own effects? Either to release a soul that was bound or restore the pieces of a soul that the scroll destroyed?"
  12. "We should try to find some means of re-entering the tower to get out of this cold."
  13. Jeaux chooses not to speak, instead deciding to follow in whatever direction the party took. He wonders if they had just missed their opportunity to not only take down the regret, but possibly break whatever hold he had on Masson before it was too strong to disrupt.
  14. Jeaux doesn't understand why the party would choose to simply walk away from their target. They have the opportunity to attack him here and now, and they choose to walk away? Not only are they abandoning their mission, but they are giving up a chance to take down the regret's new ally before the regret has finished with whatever he plans he has for Masson. "The regret has clearly admitted he is not yet ready to fight us, and you are choosing to walk away instead seizing this moment to strike? Why would you give up this opportunity for us to complete our mission?"
  15. "That is not your plan. You want us to be as powerful as possible before we fight you. I can not say for certain why, though from the information I have gathered so far, I believe it is because you secretly wish to fail. You are tired of surviving on this world and you wish for us to destroy you." Jeaux had his handcannon already aimed at the regret, just waiting for Mortimer to give the signal to attack.
  16. Jeaux fires another shot at Iris, hoping to kill her and prevent her interference in the parties upcoming battle.
  17. Jeaux fires his handcannon at Tentacle A from the back row
  18. "Why do you still hold him in such high regard when you know that he holds no respect or love for you? He was fully prepared to execute you until the other members of our party convinced him to stay his hand. He even referred to you as a useless piece of trash, and yet you still serve him? What did he do to earn that kind of loyalty?" There was an air of genuineness about his question, like he was not trying to convince Iris of anything but rather understand her state of mind.
  19. "Hello Iris. I expected we would run into you again, though you seem to have recovered from your dismemberment better than I would have thought. I stand by what I said before, your life hold no significance in the events to come and while you may bear a grudge against us, I bear no ill will towards you. We have come to kill the regret. If you stand aside, then I see no reason we for us to harm you a second time." Jeaux did not think she would take him up on his offer. He could see that she was as blinded by hatred as so many others on this island, and would throw away her own life just to satisfy that emotion. It seemed prudent to at the very least offer her an alternative to avoid wasting the party's time with a potentially costly battle.
  20. Jeaux nods silently to Em, prepared for the battle they would have shortly.
  21. Jeaux moves closer to the door to read the inscription
  22. "Since we have already explored the other two rooms, we may as well proceed onward." Jeaux tries looking through the telescope at the remaining door, to see if he can notice any traps before opening it.
  23. It's good to remember also that by imbuing complimentary gems, you can get better multipliers than a mage could ever get with a spell. For example, a hand-cannon imbued with Fire and Ice would deal quadruple damage against beasts or plants, while the most a spell can do is double damage.
  24. or turn him into a newt.
  25. "The occuloids already demonstrated the ability to access a persons memories and with those memories, there is no reason one of them could not imitate the actions of another person exactly. Given our current circumstances, it would be unwise to trust either of them."
