  1. Oh, please, don't stroke his ego any further. It could be going to Karie.
  2. Karie took a deep breath. "Him and his cronies left scars. One large enough that it'll remind me of him and his Oculoids until the day I die." Karie was tempted to show the large tattoo that spiralled around her back, but decided against it. Karie takes a moment to look around the immediate area for anything of significance.
  3. "I ensured he'd never see the face of Olegaia again." Karie said coldly. "The prick deserved what he got after what he put me through."
  4. Karie leans against the house, waiting for the others. She watches the surroundings, waiting for something to happen. "My story?" Karie takes a moment to ponder on what Anemos had asked, pulling out the bottle of wine, and uncorking it, finishing the bottle off. She tosses the bottle into the dirt "I don't like Immortalis's type. I've met him a few times by now, and he reminds me of the self righteous megablocks I constantly have to contend with. First it was the Regret, and then it was that pompous git Lawrence, and now it's Immortalis. I gave him a chance to not destroy my livelihood, but now that I've seen what he can do, I'm not going to allow that to happen. Even if it kills me."
  5. "Alright, if you guys are going into the hut, me and Anemos will stay outside. Knowing Immortalis, he has some kind of inkling we're going there. Should things go south, I'll rush in and help out inside."
  6. Karie tries walking towards the silhouette in the distance, waiting to see how the individual responds.
  7. Annienal watches as chaos ensues on deck, shrieking slightly. She looks about, trying to find something familiar. "Warlen, the first aid kit! Use it!" Annienal shouts. Annienal makes an attempt to find Avalanche and use a Phoenix Essence on him. OOC: Chosen, put Annienal second and you first using the First Aid Kit. That should solve our current conundrum.
  8. "... I'm sorry, am I suppose to comment on this or something? Are we referring to what I think we're referring to, or something else?" Karie asks, confused. She wasn't entirely sure what Arthur was trying to comment on, but she had a feeling it had something to do with Masson. "Seems he has it out for you." Karie states bemusedly. "So, what exactly did he do? Can I take a guess and say it had something to do with lightning?" Taking out her three tonics, Karie begins to down them, shaking her head in disgust after downing each one while waiting for a response. "Ugh... still tastes like dirty dishwater..."
  9. OOC: Okay, so I have a question. Is the party currently confused, or is that happening next round?
  10. Oh, Zepher, you and your dry, Fellow-esque wit. In all seriousness though, having QM's PCs in quests is a recipe for trouble. If you want to both run a quest and play a PC in said quest, I'd advise you to go ahead and write a novel, because at that point that's basically what you're doing. If your character is going to know what happens, you're no longer roleplaying, you're acting off a script. If you got ideas for quests, why not work on some of them. I'm more than certain some of the QM veterans wouldn't mind helping you out in laying out a solid plot and helping you balance battles.
  11. Working alright for me.
  12. "This is why I suggested we have a plan!" Annienal shouted nervously. "Everyone, f-focus on taking out the guys on the skiffs! We're going to lose anything their carrying otherwise!" Annienal swings a darkness spell at Quick Raider.
  13. Sailor Annie! Sailor Kiray! Sailor Diana! Sailor Miderun! Something something something something Something something something Flipz!
  14. "I don't see any humour in you being here." Karie states.
  15. "Um, Avalanche, we could take out the enemy ballista with a well placed bomb. It would allow us to put some pressure on the oncoming skiffs. Rex, toss the Agni Bomb onto the opposing ship's deck. We can take out the ballista and deal damage to it's hull." Annienal takes her amethyst and aims an attack at Captain Luthan.
  16. "The decision's been made awhile ago. I don't think Arthur, Masson, and I's vote's going to sway the rest of you." Karie replied, crossing her arms. "I could stand here in your way, or the lot of you can reap the consequences of taking the easy way out. Do what you will."
  17. "We've been putting our hides on the line since we joined this organization, and you guys are all fine with taking the easy way out at the expense of others. I don't really consider that something I can tolerate." Karie admits. "We can probably swim there quicker than we can walk there."
  18. "Yes, I've heard this, and both of our members who cannot make it through have both opted to not flood the residential district. Aqua Progg leader- actually on top of this can I get names for the two of you- anyways, can you tell me how many aqua proggs you have at the ready?"
  19. "Well, um, so's dying." Annienal comments, looking frustrated. "The only thing you're, um, going to get from blowing the skiff up is chunks of wood."
  20. Karie rubs her forehead. "I personally would prefer not destroying the residential district. We're here to help the populace, not destroy its living quarters."
  21. "Are we not even going to come up with a plan?" Annienal asks worriedly. "Traci, man a Ballista and aim at the Skiff's crew members, if they board us, we'll be... um... in a bad situation. Jackson, you do the same. Rex, aim at the opposing ship. We need to cut that ship's speed down and board her." Annienal casts darkness on the Raider Mage from the front row.
  22. "Eh, not my style, but I don't know anything about Progg culture, so there's that." Karie shrugged. "You guys sharing space with anyone else down here?"
  23. Nope. Backstory's important, but I'd say past choices made on quests is far more important for a PC. Making big moments for yourself is spotlight stealing, and should be avoided. Allow the spotlight to fall onto your character naturally. If you get into an argument with a PC over a decision in the quest, that's totally fine. That whole article I linked is probably good enough to use during most tabletop RPG sessions, so use it as you will. I'm tempted to do a Theatre bit about the Don'ts of roleplaying. Anyone got any advice? Sure, but then it's intrusive to other people if a hologram just started playing. Having it play in Goliath's head is simpler, and ultimately more rewarding for both characters and players. Vind's discussions with his deity have never impeded other people's RP, which is why I love Vind, among other reasons.
