  1. I'm not quite sure how the Amalgam ate all those satellites when the battle order states that the Undead Satellites attack the rest of the satellites not targeted.
  2. Is it just me, or is Guts starting to come off as a cult leader? "Join us Atramor, join the Cult of Guts, we have cookies and other assorted baked goods."
  3. Oh god, this is going to be harder than it should be. Quest 70: The Syndicate- We could be here for hours talking about what happened on 70 that made it the bombshell of a quest is was for everyone involved, but the thing that really affected Karie was Masson and the Betrayal. Everything before and after that moment of pure storytelling genius becomes so much more clear when you look at both PCs, NPCs, and herself. She sort of is straddling the line her sister went. As well, Karie finding a romantic interest with Masson, and learns she's related to Violetta. Quest 62: Insider Trading- Her intelligence is really brought out here. Karie's not some stupid idiot, she's actually rather smart. As well, her encounter with Fleur and herself doubting her leadership abilities really helped push her stress level along, which looking back at 70, it makes more sense. Nessa really helped push Karie over the deep end, as well as relieve some of her inner emotions. That and we learn that Karie's somewhat squeamish, and has a sister, and isn't fond of her personal image. I think we learn more about Karie here than in 70, but 70's had more depth to it I feel, where 62's was mainly back story. Karie's break down in 70 was the combination of all this, though. Quest 56: The Stealer of Senses- Karie's fear of being hexed gets brought up here, as well as her introduction to her somewhat sexual nature. Her first encounter with Masson, as well, if you really look at it, it's more or less setting up Karie's downfall in 70. Somewhat of Karie's anger issues sort of sprout from here. Quest 79: Fading Spark- Mainly just retreading old ground, and reinforcing certain things, like her fear of being hexed, her sister, Masson, etc. The tattoo on her back will be staying on her back.
  4. To avoid taking special damage.
  5. What, the armour! It's not that grand, but it will be handy from time to time!
  6. I want this kid's head on a spear.
  7. Well then, I better pick up my game.
  8. What? And here I thought my big grand finale boss was crazy-uber strong!
  9. What about Tesni? I'd debate about whether it's Guts or Tesni as to who has the best offence.
  10. De equip the dancing shoes and he's powerless. If you want to puncture Guts's defence, you need to de-equip the Dancing Shoes, which, at the time of this post, isn't possible player on player. Anti Guts Pendant (Accessory- Negates the effects of Guts Holla's Dancing Shoes)
  11. Correct. "Last I remember, the men mentioned there was only one Iron Knuckle on premise. Just keep your cool and we might make it out of here!" Costello continues to turn the crank on the crane, the alchemist showing quite a bit of strength, despite his weak appearance. "Don't worry about me. Focus on the battle!"
  12. No matter what happened, the reinforcements would have come. You would have had to run into them if you'd gone down the corridor, and Costello needs protection. Sorry if this sounds a little forced.
  13. No, these are the reinforcements. If you had beaten the first wave early, you would have had a few rounds to prepare yourselves. You guys are doing good! "Other than the fact that the thing's jacked up on Exterium and deadly to a fault, not much. Whatever was left of the poor sap who's beneath that armor is gone. It's now an obedient killing machine." ROUND SIX OF THE MESS HALL BATTLE!!! Party Order Sorrow vs. Iron Knuckle- Damage Damage (42/2-6=15 damage) Elgar vs. Spear A- Aim (11-2= 9 Damage. Badly Poisoned!) Grimwald heals Sorrow- No heal (-1 ether) Sorrow vs. Iron Knuckle- Damage Shield ( Spear man B and C Assassinated!) Em vs. Spear Man C A- Shield (Iron Knuckle, Spearman A, Iron Knuckle. 7+14+2=23 damage. 23-10=13 damage Iron Knuckle. 23-2=21 damage Spear Man A) Spear Man A: -10 Damage Sorrow notches an arrow into his longbow, firing it at the Iron Knuckle. The arrow hits, not even leaving a dent in the armor, as the knight charges Sorrow and smashes it's sword's hilt into his rib cage, sending him back. Elgar manages to keep one of the spear man at bay, poisoning him in the process. Grimwald attempts to heal Sorrow, only for his luck to fall out. Sorrow takes a risky move, firing arrows at all the enemies, taking two of the guards out. The Iron Knuckle raises it's shield, blocking the attack. Em fires his arrow at the remaining guard, forcing him back. He takes this opportunity to fire twice at the Iron Knuckle to draw its attention away from Sorrow, desperate for help. He hits it twice between the thick plating, forcing it to stop it's onslaught towards Sorrow. The knight grabs a hold of each arrow and rips them out of it's body, blood dripping onto the floor. It would take more than that to take this hulking warrior. "..." 14. Ugh, not this again... "Same as before, except this time, Johon, only attack once, and focus it on one of the Blitz Satellite. 16. We now return to your scheduled questing. Party Order: >Sorrow - Chaos Bomb (All enemies take 100 earth damage) >Elgar vs. Crossbowman A- Aim (11-5=6 damage. Badly Poisoned) >Em vs. Crossbowman A- Hit (7+14-5=15 damage) >Grimwald- Nothing >Sorrow- Nothing Crossbowman A: -10 Damage New enemies have joined combat! Sorrow tosses his Chaos bomb into the fray, sending a blast of watery death, as two of the three guards succumb to their injuries. Elgar poisons the remaining guard, as Em fires an arrow into his torso. It doesn't take long for the guard to fall due to the poison. Just as he does though, the doors fling open once more as three guards step in, but it's not the guards that scare the party. An armored tank of a knight steps in, sword drawn, shield in hand. The party can't see inside the silent knight's helmet, but it takes only three words out of Costello's mouth to know what they were up against. "The Iron Knuckle..." 17. "Althior, use a tonic. Johon, keep them busy and shut up. I've gotta heal..." Battle Order >Karie- Heal self >Althior- Grand Tonic >Althior-Blue >Johon-White A >Johon- White B Satellites A, B, C- Blue Satellite D, E- White A
  18. "Would you shut up! How do I know I wasn't being force fed those words! I was hexed! I don't know what happened! I don't know what the hell you filth were doing to me! Shut up, before I force you too!" Karie didn't know what happened or who to believe. She wanted run away and hide, but she couldn't. She wouldn't say that about Johon or Masson or Althior (although, he was kind if a dick). She couldn't come to terms with the info that was being spoon fed to her.
  19. "No... I don't recall... anything." Karie finds it hard to hold things back, but manages to not completely shut down. She doesn't look at her heckler as she continues to mumble. "I wouldn't say any of that. I wouldn't say... any of that..."
  20. "What the hell are you blathering about? I don't know what you're talking about!" Karie's head was still foggy. What did she do while under the Oculoid's control?"
  21. Karie's one of them, but for completely different reasons.
  22. "You pathetic piece of... gah!!" The hexed Karie gags on the remedy forced down her throat. She goes back into convulsions as her eyes clear up. "Get out of my head!!!" Karie manages to kick the Oculoid's presence from her and tosses Althior a grand potion. She stumbles back to the party, clearly distraught. "I... I don't care how we kill these things... So long as they're dead. Althior, do your thing. Johon, go cut something in two Althior, I've got you covered. Battle Order >Karie- Heal Althior >Althior-Blue >Althior-Blue Satellites- Repeat >Johon-White A >Johon- White B
  23. That actually makes a lot of sense.
  24. Karie's body contorts and shifts in unnerving ways infront of the party, only for her to stand upright, and grin. Her irises turn a deep purple, her pupils intensify and her eyes turn blood shot and milky. She begins to step torwards, a menacing cackle erupting from her mouth. "Johon. I always thought you were a weak, pathetic excuse for a man. And you, Althior, you were a stuck up, smug, arrogant dick the whole way through. I can't possibly believe how I ever dealt with you lot. And now, you can't even save me. How... predictable. Tell me, how can you live Althior knowing that as we speak I'm having my memory scanned through like a glossary? Every little secret of mine is here to relive. Is there something you want to know about me? Like how I'm queasy to blood and corpses, or how I almost died overdosed on Pixie Dust, or perhaps the time I was under the enthralment of this Apprentice? Maybe why I wear this feeble mask or why I paint myself white? Or how I got my little pet of a boyfriend?" Battle Order >Johon- Remedy Karie ( Johon should no longer be confused) >Karie- Heal Johon (Grand Potion) >Althior- Red Oculoid (Light Spell) >Althior- Red Oculoid (Light Spell) Satellite A, B- White Oculoid A Satelitte C, D, E- White Oculoid B >Johon- Blue Satellite
  25. IMPORTANT!!!: I will be away tomorrow and Sunday. I won't return until around Sunday evening, so if you've got any actions, send them in now.
