  1. Karie meanders over to the quest board, snatching up the pen, her new cat following closely behind her. "Hmm, demons, reporters, murder, blah blah blah... retrieving stolen wares? This sounds simple enough." Karie signs up for Quest #84. Here we go again... "Look, Sorrow. You're doing yourself more harm than you realize. No one's ready for death. No one is truly ready to kick the bucket. Sorrow, surely you have something to live for?"
  2. Sandy, can we get an estimate as to when Elphaba will be rolling in again? It should be soon. right?
  3. The name of the virus comes from DnD. The name of the herb... well, I'll let the community answer that one.
  4. From Quest #78:
  5. Magical ones.
  6. "You mean a Sunset Shimmer? I remember hearing about a herb like that. Not that I know where it grows." Karie still didn't feel right leaving Sorrow to fend for himself. They were blood. Very separated blood, but still blood. "I'll keep an eye out. If I see anything I'll let you know. You said it yourself, we all need people to fall back on, sometimes." Karie tried to give Sorrow a reassuring smile, clenching his other, not pussy hand. It was cold to touch.
  7. Karie feels a sudden sense of pity, and a sudden sense of realization. Her only surviving relative was weak, and could drop at any minute. "Is there anything I can do to help? I hope you know what the cure is. Perhaps I could assist with my healing abilities?"
  8. See, the thing is, Karie's after that Hinckwell rep, so it's more of an unfair advantage for Arasmyth. Thotwick would basically get jacked of his current rep with the Shadeux. Wait, that would be really humorous actually.
  9. "Let alone a dinosaur!" She laughs with him. However, she quickly changes her mood as Sorrow tells his story. "Eu-yuck. I hate spiders. I don't care if you named him Fuzzy, I don't get why people like spiders, they're gross." "Mreooow!" "That's right, even Hershey shares the sentiment." Karie grabs the pitcher and ours her glass with water again. She takes note of Sorrow's raunchy looking hand. "Are you okay? You're hand looks really bad."
  10. So not Karie. I really got to get on one of your quests Zepher. They look like a lot of fun.
  11. HA! I'm going to have to bookmark this or something!
  12. Karie scratches Hershey behind the ears. "Care to share that story, gramps?"
  13. The irony being Karie's lactose intoelerant. Sadly, no. If no one gets it, I'll post a link to the character.
  14. The name of Karie's new cat, Hershey, is actually a reference. First person to get it gets a cookie.
  15. "Well, I don't see anything wrong with keeping it (so long as it doesn't have fleas)." Karie picks the cat up, it's hind legs sagging down. As Karie looks it over, it rubs it's head on her hands. "I believe our feline friend's female." She puts the cat down on the ground. She asks about for a bowl and fills it with some water, placing it next to the cat. "I'm thinking... Hershey." *laps water up*
  16. Karie was slightly taking back knowing the cat was probably owned by her sister. Why was she it here, and how did it get in the hall? "Well, this is... awkward." She took her sweater off to reveal a loose fitting shirt, her sister's Catsuit wrapped around her waist. She unraveled it and tossed it to Sorrow hoping the feline would follow. It watches the catsuit sail into the air as it's directed towards Sorrow. "Purr..." The cat continues to show it's affection towards Karie. "Uhhh! It probably smells me. I guess me and my sister had the... same... aroma?" Karie wasn't sure why the cat had tracked her down, or what it was doing staring at her with it's big, cuddly eyes. The cat sits on the hall floor, it's tail swaying back an forth on ground. She looked about, just to ensure no one else was looking for it. "Mreoow-eoow!"
  17. *purrr*

    1. Endgame

      Endgame

      It's a kitty! Hi, kitty!

      ...Damn you, graph!

    2. Flare

      Flare

      *whatever sound an iguana makes*

  18. "Yeah, sort of. He was out and about doing odd jobs a few days ago." "Yeah, sounds like it." Karie giggles briefly, grabbing a pitcher of water and pouring herself a drink. She takes a sip but stops, as she feels something soft rubbing against her leg. She looks down only to see a black and white cat rubbing against her leg lovingly. "Mreoow?" "Sorrow, anyone in her own any cats?"
  19. Karie chuckled back. "Not at the moment, no. Masson said he's got plans for a date or something. I don't know when, but soon, anyways. What's new on the quest board? Anything exciting?"
  20. The Hinckwells are actually the victims this time around, and there's little interaction with them. If anything, there's a lot of Town Watch interaction, as well as some Syndicate interaction, for those who want to meet the shadier side of the Town Watch.
  21. Surprisingly not interested in #85. It looks like a fun quest, but after 79, I think Karie's all demoned out for now. No one wants to help solve a murder mystery now that Byblos has walked in?
  22. "You're not the first to ask that." She continued to look at her mask pensively as she spoke. "I don't know. It's just... something I do, you know? I woke up one day and said "hey, I'm going to paint myself white and wear a domino mask!" It's a tick, you know. I do it because... I can. You'd think I was covering burn scars and what not, but I'm not. I'm only covering up one scar and a swirly tattoo on my back. I got nothing better, really..."
  23. What's going on, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather?

  24. "Well, I know Em would stick up for me. So would Masson and Octavyn. My adoptive sister would listen to me, but she's all the way out in Charis. And I guess there's you." Karie looked up at Sorrow. She felt it strange that she never ever saw his face. She was curious as to what was behind the glow. "You're technically the closest person I have for a relative. Even if the gap's four hundred years." Karie surprisingly took her domino mask off and looked at it, amused. "I suppose you and me are kind of similar. You never really knew you're family, and I only remember my Kayla from the day I was taken to Charis. It was cold. Very cold." Karie's amusement slowly turned to melancholy as she spoke. She put the mask down and looked at Sorrow. "What was it like growing up for you?"
  25. "Well... I guess it's both..."
