I'm having trouble with Flickr, and I can't seem to upload anything. Any other suggestions as to what websites I can use?

Boo. Boo! That's no fun! I can summon my own- then why the hell did I take a Nostrum? Thanks again!

OOC: Good to know. "Alright, so I've thought about this, and we really need to work on those area of effect attacks. Johon and me will cover the stupid hovering satelites, while you Althior keep that big blot busy. As well, Althior, Johon, stay back. I know this sounds pretentious, but this thing looks nasty! I'm going to take a precaution next round, and equip the paper doll, so just as a heads up, lets deal with these blasted satellites quickly. Where's a canooner when you need one!?" Battle Order >Johon vs. Haste Satellite >Althior vs. Technique Satellite >Johon vs. Reinforcement Satellite >Althior vs. Amalgam >Karie vs. Blitz Satellite A if no damage is taken. IF damage is taken, Karie heals the player who took the most damage. I'm once again going to ask what Special Mirror does in terms of the Amalgam AND the satellites, just in case it gets rolled, because knowing my luck, it will.

Karie takes Johon's nostrum and chugs it down. "Well, I'm as ready as I'll ever be."

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Kintobor replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
I said I was working on a Sailor Scout/ Magical Girl/ Pretty Solider class, and here's what I've come up with. Once again, this is a very rough draft. It's basically a mash up of Paladin and Warden with a dash of the counterstrike gloves. Celestial Soldier Requirements: ??? -These warriors carry out swift and virtuous justice to dark and sinister forces in an effort to make the world a better place. -Additional Health: +20 -Additional Ether: +15 -Weapons: Celestial Soldiers can carry any weapon, so long as it's a light elemental. Dual element weapons can be wielded, so long as the other element isn't dark. They can also carry shields. -Job Traits: Heal (see cleric), Diplomacy (see knight) Virtuous Aura: A Celestial Soldier gains bonuses when in combat with dark elemental enemies and undead. A Celestial Soldier cannot be affected by negative effects caused by dark elemental or undead. As well, the Celestial Soldier ignores SP of all dark elemental and undead enemies -Battle Style: Virtuous: Celestial Warriors carry out their actions with faith and good merit, always looking to strike down evil. 1. Shield: Celestial Protection: The Celestial Soldier protects the party from any damage that would come a party members way by redirecting the attack to the Celestial Soldier for the rest of the round. All damage received is halved. The Celestial Soldier then counterstrikes the opponent for damage equal to the Celestial Soldier's weapon power. Removes one ether. 2. Blessed Critical Hit/ Blessed Critical Heal: The Celestial Soldier attacks the opponent for damage equal to their weapon power times two plus their level. The Celestial Soldier then regains health equal to the amount of damage dealt to the opponent divided by four. Alternatively, any attempt at healing succeeds with the Celestial Soldier regaining health equal to there weapon power times two. Removes one ether. 3. Blessed Hit/ Blessed Heal: The Celestial Soldier attacks the opponent for damage equal to their weapon power plus their level. The Celestial Soldier then regains health equal to the amount of damage dealt to the opponent divided by eight. Alternatively, any attempt at healing succeeds with the Celestial Soldier regaining health equal to there weapon power. Removes one ether. 4. Miss/ Minor Blessed Heal: Nothing happens. Alternatively, any attempt at healing succeeds. The Celestial Soldier then regains health equal to their weapon power divided by two. Removes one ether 5. Damage/ No Heal: The Celestial Soldier is struck by the opponents attack. Alternatively, any attempt at healing fails. Remove one ether. 6. Special Guard/ No Heal: The Celestial Soldier has a 50/50 chance of being protected from negative effects caused by an opponents special skill. Alternatively, any attempt at healing fails. Remove one ether. -
That's the last of them, I believe. The one with Sorrow was on the spot, and it just sounded like a cool herb name. There's a few more nods, but not to MLP. Sorrry!

Karie simply stared up at the beast, her hand outstretched to Johon. "Johon, nostrum. Now!"

Heroica RPG- Quest #78: As Thick As Thieves
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Costello begins to look Sorrow's hand over, a more grimacing look dawning on his face as he does so. "Mummy Rot. This isn't good. You're hands infected, badly. If left untreated, you could potentially lose your hand. The virus is more likely to infect undead, particularly resurrects, than it is to infect the living, although the symptoms are slightly different. It occurs when one's come into contact with undead, but the lot back there wouldn't have allowed it to fester for too long, allowing the symptoms to show up. As dire as this is, you're in luck. We've caught it before it's done too much damage. However, you're going to need to find the root of a rare herb, a Sunset Shimmer, found occasionally in the forest. If you can bring it to me, I can brew you a remedy for it. You've saved my life, the least I can do is brew you a remedy." Costello gives Sorrow a worrying look. QM NOTE: There you go, Endgame, here's a personal quest for ya. If you do manage to find the root, we can work something up for the hall thread.- 418 replies

Karie was taken back by Althior's speech. It was something she wished she had the courage to say, but felt too beat up and dirty to say. She looked down and thought about what he'd said. They'd picked her apart and left her to dry out in the sun. She felt weaker for having them tear her emotions to shreds. "Oh, shove a cork into your megablock! What the hell do you know of suffering?" Karie was getting ready to pounce. She began to churn her fear into anger. "You claim to know what suffering is by watching outsiders, but how do you honestly know how it feels? I've been abused, beaten, shot at, stabbed, poisoned, disgraced, let people down, and you. Have. Done. Nothing!!! Perfection is the reason you fail as an intellectual being! I am imperfect, there, I said it. I'm a showoff, and I'm self centered. I wear padding and a corset, and this white makeup to make myself stand out. I have a dual pronged scar and a new spirally tattoo on my back from two occasions of when I was hexed. I'm dating a man who is potential psychotic, and I'm also a member of a group of vigilantes who do the Town Watch's dirty work. I dropped out of university and hit the streets, and I... and I..." Karie takes a few deep breaths, having gone on a rather long rant. She felt she couldn't go on. It was stacking up, all her failures, but they were out. She no longer had to hide them. "I was a screw up. I think I realize that now, but that was then, and this is now. I've got only one direction to go: up."

"Indeed. They've been getting it all from the mess hall. I don't know how, but it's a lot. Most of it's been shipped off already, but the things they had me look over: I tell you, some of it's worth more than I used to make in six months. We're talking swords, shields, gems, coins, goblets plates, armor, you name it, they were showing it to me." Costello looks over to Sorrow again, eyeing his hand, the glass shards sticking out. It makes Costello cringe. "When did that happen? You mind if I take a look?"- 418 replies

Heroica RPG- Quest #78: As Thick As Thieves
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Sorrow fires off an arrow into both of the hinges, the cell door comes slamming down. Both men walk out, their fragrance none to pleasant. Connor begins to stretch. "Finally! That cell was so cramped you couldn't fit a flea in there! Now then, I believe they put my wand around here somewhere..." As Connor scurries behind the party looking through the various chests, Costello steps out and immediately gravitates to Sorrow. "I see you've found out about my specialty then." He didn't so much reply with inquisitiveness as he did state it. He looks into Sorrow's glow and then to the rest of the party. "It's not something one admits too. When I entered the field of alchemy I wanted to help people, patient with severe injuries and those going under the knife. If a patient is thinking about something else besides the operation, they feel less pain. However, I was also drawn in by the possibility of criminal reformation. This city has a wide range of crooks, from pick pockets to murders, the list goes on. With a simple thought, those men would no longer murder. They could re enter society as reformed people. However, dosage and content in a potion like that matters. One gram too much or one milliliter to little and you could have a person under full enthrallment or even rearrange someone's own thought process. The Order forced me into creating a quicker, easier one than the one they were working on, showing me the corpse of the previous alchemist as incentive to work on it. To say the least, I did. Exterium, still a complicated brew, but compared to what they had previously, I don't know. However, I believe that's not the only reason I'm here. Something is beneath this prison, something relating back to the Moone. They keep pulling up all these old tablets and texts, as well as Ennoc artifacts. Most of it's gone, but I've heard they're saving the last item for when this commodore arrives. Whatever it is, isn't good."- 418 replies

Karie keeps her eyes shut, pacing her breath as he lingers near her. "At least I am afraid. What is bravery? Going into battle foolishly, or going into battle scared, knowing you may never come back? Still, what does that make you? I know a man who did not fear death, for he had nothing to live for, at least when I first met him. You however, have nothing, do you? Just your masters will." Karie slowly opens her eyes. "I fear death because their's something for me to live for. Best of luck in Oculoid hell."

"The band's arrived." Karie looked over the Oculoid horde. She took in a deep breath. The barren waste that was once the forest gave her a sense of foreboding dread. There were probably more Oculoids here than there were men working for Fleur. Where the hell were all this idiots coming from? "I believe we deserve a monologue of what you plan to do, don't we? You've fit most of the cliches, so please, say something so I can check off my score card and potentially win a prize."

"What he means to say is thanks for saving us. We were in quite the predicament back there, and if it weren't for you guys, we'd probably be dead in a ditch one way or another." "Although the feelings are mutual, I have a grave premonition about what's going to go down if we don't hurry. We aren't leaving just yet. What? Me? Oh no, it's not like Karie could go off the deep end, halt her progress as minstrel, go necromancer and attempt to resurrect her maggot ridden sister, oh no, of course not!
-
Well, when you said three corpses had been recently put to rest in A Grave Problem, the first thing that came to mind was the three generals. It's just for continuities sake. That and I'm always looking for ideas for Grim Grinning Ghosts 2.
-
Oh, just curious. I'm surprised no one's picked up on it yet.
-
Was it ever stated what happened to the Wolfgang general's corpses? I remember Arthur suggesting cremation, but that's it.
-
"Ugh, of course it's not this easy." Karie looks around to see if there's anything that could be of use, including planks of wood, fallen over logs, and supplies. While doing so, she addresses Althior. "You got any gems that could be of use?"
