"Ugh, where's the moisture cream when you need it! I should have realized that idiot was hastened, god I'm such a ditz!" Karie took a few deep breaths. The pain was severe, and there'd probably be blisters. She sucked it up and keep a straight face. "Althior, focus on the Amalgam. Johon, same as before. I've gotta heal." Battle Order >Karie- Heal (If shield is rolled, target on Blitz Satellite A) >Johon- Blitz Satellite A (Unless hexed, in which case, Blitz Satellite C) >Johon- Blitz Satellite C (Unless destroyed, in which case, if shield was rolled previously, do nothing. If shield wasn't rolled, Blitz Satellite D) >Althior- Amalgam >Althior- Amalgam Any Remaining Satellites- Undead Satellites, with preference on Reinforced Satellite over Blitz.

Karie feels a twinge of melancholy. She knew nothing of her biological parents, and little of her biological sister. All she remembered was the day Maxwell took her away and she left her sister in that house in the Hovels to become Violetta. Yet, somehow this thing knew more than she did... Heroica RPG- Quest #78: As Thick As Thieves

As the party readies themselves, Costello beginning to hoist the tablet up, the party can hear footsteps rushing to door. "Sir, the protection spell?" "Walk forward!" ... "Sir... it's gone!" "Bust the door down! The tablet could have been stolen!" The doors swing open as a group of armed guards begin to march towards the party. The lieutenant calls the party out. "What do we have here? A jail break, and theft of private property? We do not tolerate thieves and vagabonds. Guards, dispel these men from this prison at once!" Prepare for battle! I was referring to 108 Stars of Destiny. I believe that ended in a TPK.

"Will you shut up about Masson!?! Keep him out of this!" There was no real way to beat this thing mentally. It was able to peer into her mind, rip apart her secrets, and feed her her worst nightmares. Not today

Total Party Knockout. It's when all party members have been knocked out, and have officially failed the quest. I think it's only happened once.

Karie manages to fumble as one of the Satellite homes into the party. "Crud crud crud!" Attempting to shield herself from the blast, Karie holds her arms up, doing little to stop the impact. However, as she looks back up, she notices her own explosive wave take out the rest of the satellites. "That was... kinda neat, I guess." Karie looks away as he attempts to hex her. She wasn't getting hexed, not today, not again! "Recruiting a... you don't recruit, you flat out suck people's souls out of their bodies, feast on them, then use the corpse as a disguise! That's really freaking gross! And you're wrong in assuming I'm a street knave. I'm the Greatest Pickpocket in the World, and you're going to remember it!" "Johon, change of plans. You need a heal, but Althior, you're going to need to do it. Give him a Grand potion then focus on the Amalgam. Johon, same as before, you and me on clean-up. We're doing good so far, so lets keep at it!" Battle Order >Althior- Heal Johon, Grand Potion >Johon- Blitz Satellite A >Karie- Blitz Satellite C >Althior- Amalgam >Johon- Remaining Satellite, if three remaining, second Satellite listed in battle order. I beg your pardon, but... what?

Passive Special: Did what he set out to do- When Big Bad Boss #4 kills Tesni Hightribe, it immediately leaves combat. I don't know how some of you can deal with that kind of micro management. Please, someone go back and double check, because I probably screwed up somewhere.

"Alright, we need to take as many of these satellites out as possible. Blast Satellites B and E are our best bet at getting all these guys down in two hits. Bear with me guys, this may get convoluted." Battle Order >Johon- Satellite B >Karie- Satellite E From here on out, there are three scenarios, either A, we kill all the satellites, B, we kill 3 or more, or C, we kill 2 or less SCENARIO A: IF ALL SATELLITES ARE EITHER HEXED OR DESTROYED AT THIS POINT >Althior- Amalgam >Johon- Amalgam >Althior-Amalgam SCENARIO B: IF THREE OR MORE SATELLITES ARE EITHER HEXED OR DESTROYED AT THIS POINT >Johon- Satellite D OR C. depending on which is left. IF JOHON DOES RECEIVE A SHIELD, KILLING ALL SATELLITES >Althior- Amalgam >Althior-Amalgam IF JOHON DOES NOT RECIEVE A SHIELD, BUT INSTEAD A CRIT OR A HIT >Althior- Remaining Satellite >Althior- Amalgam IF JOHON TAKES DAMAGE >Althior- One of two remaining Satellites >Althior- deploy skeleton decoy SCENARIO C: IF ONLY TWO OR LESS SATELLITES ARE DESTROYED >Johon- D OR C IF JOHON RECIEVES A SHIELD >Althior- Satellites A or F >Althior- Deploy Skeleton Decoy IF JOHON DOES NOT RECIEVE A SHIELD, BUT INSTEAD A CRIT OR A HIT >Althior- Remaining Satellite >Althior- Deploy skeleton decoy IF JOHON TAKES DAMAGE >Althior- One of the remaining Satellites >Althior- deploy skeleton decoy (and brace for impact)
-
"*ahem*" "Even if Johon did manage to go on a ravaging spree, he's only attacking three satellite thingies... hmm..." OOC: Could a Skeleton Decoy be used to soak up damage from the Blast Satellites?
-
Do I not get a say in this? No, I don't mind it changing. I'm pretty laid back when it comes to most things, and if you change it Endgame, I'm fine. I'd be fine with any of the options personally, since I'm the only one mirroring things, but that's just me. I'm surprised how little we had up to this point. At first it was only Atramor, now it's myself and Sarge included! We're taking over Heroica! Especially when the battle is designed with a "how would Endgame do it" train of thought!

"I think that sounds like a plan. I'll hoist it up while- Just as Costello was talking, a two voices rang through the prison. "Where is the lieutenant, have you seen him?" "No, sir, he wasn't at the door to meet us." "Very well, inspect the sewers, I'll take my group and check the mess hall. When your done, meet back up with me." "We need a plan, now! Costello, you stick on the crane and get that crane up! I'll join you lot to assist in defending Costello as he hoists it up. I may not be the most helpful, but I can still do some damage. If you need to buff yourself or heal, do so now! This is going to get a little hectic..."- 418 replies

Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Grimwald would look at the tablet... if there was one. Perhaps the party should look back at the clues they were given... Looking through it's pages, Em notices various texts, all very old. Most of it is too worn to read, but the last four pages is what intrigues him. The first two are legible, the page to the left containing text, the one to his right containing an illustration of a golden eagle spreading its wings over a horde demons below it, rays of light casting them away. The third and fourth pages are less legible. The words are heavily faded, but the image is still intact. Three paladins in golden armor kneel before an eagle, each one carrying a tablet of some sort. The only lines you can read is the last two.- 418 replies

Battle Order >Johon- Technique Satellite B >Althior- Amalgam >Johon- Technique Satellite A >Althior- Amalgam >Karie- Blitz Satellite B IF NOT already dealt with. Despite it's bulky size, not a lot's been recorded. The book appears to be a catalog, with a description of items being recorded, the time of their discovery, and when they left the prison, as well as an estimation on price. The last few entry aren't fully filled out.- 418 replies

One could slide down the rope, but could one be able to get back up? "I'd recommend not sliding down there. I doubt the durability of this rope. As for a mess hall, this was originally a functioning prison. However, as you'd might guess, whatever was originally here seemed to be of more importance to this Order Imperial than the heritage of the building."- 418 replies

Sorrow looks into the pit, trying to discern how deep the pit went. He can't see the bottom, nor is there any way to get down there. Jumping down could result in a broken leg, or death. Em looks about the table, trying to find anything of use. Without having to look too hard, he finds a pristine looking elvish blade., it's hilt encrusted with amethysts. Also lying on the table are four gold bars lying in a tray. Stacked on the other side are two books, one leather bound without a title, the other old and worn, with runes adorning the front.- 418 replies

I agree. A necromancer is effectively doing 0 damage without an army when a crit. is rolled. I can see where the idea is coming from, the necromancer has to build up an army in order to start dealing massive damage, but in that case, make the multiplier one. Especially when a necromancer starts a quest with zero undead.

Before Costello can respond to Sorrow, the party returns to the mess hall doors. Costello steps in front of the party as he looks the door over. "Well, let's see what's behind here. Connor?" "Coming!" Connor steps in front and begins to speak to himself, moving his wand in a circular motion, his voice picking up as he does. After a minute, he thrusts his wand forward as nothing happens. Connor steps for... he reaches out to touch the door... and nothing happens. He opens the door. "Well, lets move. If there's something we gotta steal, lets steal it." The party enters the spacious mess hall. All the benches have been pushed to the ends of the room as a large pit opens up near the back, a small crane looming over it. A table sits next to it, with various things strewn about it. Just what was going on here? What will the party do?- 418 replies
