  1. Finished building Karie's third floor apartment. It's quite glorious.

  2. I don't think there's a single figure here I don't want. And that scares me and my wallet. As well, Uni-Kitty is just... yes.
  3. Last I checked, Purpearl, you had 95 gold. With the 25 I lent you, you should still have 20 gold. Unless you went and bought stuff before the amethyst, in which cases, you're okay.
  4. Marketplace Saturation should have been the title of 87, considering how many heroes are signed up and how many heroes are going to be left in the hall. The two new guys from 85, plus four more, out of... what, twenty five? This will be interesting...
  5. "Then they're yours." Karie tosses the items to Purpearl, and with a gesture with her hand, she leaves the hall, looking at the expanding list of heroes signing up for the quest in the marketplace. OOC: Don't forget to update your inventory with the addition of the topaz and the 25 gold.
  6. Karie wanders back into the hall for a short second, quickly putting her hood on once she notices Dyric in the room. She patrols up the steps and to the bar, where she returns to the table with Johon and Purpearl. "Hey, I gotta get a good night sleep before all this starts, so I thought I'd leave you, Purpear,l with something if you're interested." She unwraps a large topaz from her bag, covered by cloth and shiny to boot. "It's not much, but I'll give it to you, if you want it? I wouldn't mind even chipping in some money so you can get yourself an amethyst if you're interested, say, 25 gold? I gotta hurry though, so make up your mind quickly."
  7. Karie wanders back into the market, covered in the warmth of her Syndicate uniform. She first walks up to Portia's, and drops 35 gold on the table. "Just a Nostrum." Portia, oblivious to the fact she's dealing with one of her most hated customers, hands over the bottle in exchange for Karie's coins. She nods to her as she continues her route. 312-35=277 gold Wandering about, Karie comes face to face with a macabre looking medicine show wagon. The owner running the cart stiffens up as she approaches. "I sense another witch." Karie stays silent as she looks over her, the green skinned woman stroking her cat. "Don't expect discounts from me though, if you want those, you may have wishes in finding better prices." "That's fine, I came here with the intention to purchase some goods, and there's a chance I'll be back. Those Pumpkin Bombs look devilish, I'll take two of those. I'll also purchase a Scroll of Blindness and a Scroll of Frailty off your hands." The witch prepares Karie's goods in a box and hands it to her. "Together your cost is 220 gold." Karie scrapes the majority of her money into Elphaba's hands, leaving her with 57 gold. She begins to walk off with her crate full of exotic goods. 277-220=57 gold
  8. Karie watches a surge of heroes get up and rush out of the hall, as if some deadly plague had been thrown into the hall. "Might as well see what the fuss is about." Karie moves out of the hall and back into the streets.
  9. The aura around Karie's palms die down as she put her thick gloves back on, and shrugged calmly. "Suit yourself, Avalanche. No offence taken." She notices Johon sit down abruptly. She wondered where he'd been of to. "Nice seeing you again, Johon." She was somewhat thankful Johon hadn't taken note of her blue outfit. She remembered back to when this outfit was stuffy and smelled of sweat. Now it was comfy and warm and smelled slightly of sweat. Karie walks back over to the quest board, putting her hood on in the process, signing up for Quest 86: Gaiden.
  10. I'll be there opening day if the trailer's any indication on how good the movie looks. There's only one other film I saw opening day and it totally wasn't Equestria Girls.
  11. What face does Serevan have, by the way? I'm trying to compile a list of sets to pick up for Heroica and other projects.
  12. Urk! How does she know my name! Am I really that well known around her that even the new guys know who I am! Karie smiles, flattered at the fact that someone recognized her. Her cheeks blush a bright red "Well, yeah, you might of, I sort of work for the same group that gold guys in! The name's Karie. Honestly, I'm thirsty as hell, but I'd prefer water." Karie curiously looks at the elf's strange concoction. Just what is she mouthing down? She notices how beat up the yeti looks. "Jeez, you look like you got hit by a cart or something, Avalanche. You want a heal or something? I can at least try and patch up your bruises and that black eye." Karie takes her gloves off, revealing her twisted and contorted tattoo on palm and hand which lead up her arm and trails up her right arm. Her hands begin to give off a faint purple glow. "Unless you're superstitious? I know certain people would label me... wrong." Chilled monkey brains sounded good right about now.
  13. I do believe Chilled Monkey Brains are on the menu tonight.
  14. "Off duty, for both jobs. This is where I hangout usually whenever I'm not dealing with odd jobs or Syndicate stuff." Karie walks up to the bar and realizes something. "Perhaps alcohol isn't the best idea. You know, the hoods and all that." Looking about Karie notices a group who looked... familiar. "The drinks can wait. I've got some kids I want to talk to. I'll see you around, Octavyn. If you want any alcohol, just tell them you're with me." Karie walks from the bar and over to the table where two new, fresh faces were sitting. She sits down, kicking her feet up on the table. She removes her mask and sets it down on the table, rubbing her hair and letting her ponytail unfurl. She looked a little sweaty. "Hope you don't mind if I sit down?"
  15. I have to agree with you Zepher, and I'll definitely have more suspects if another mystery quest rolls around. I honestly don't mind criticism, because it often leads to better results later. And I didn't really think they'd come off as fake Alexis and Atramor, but I can see where fake Alexis is coming from. As well, I'll note I specifically made the Harlot Outfit gender neutral for a reason, since we do have some Rule 63 items out there. (one of which I made. ) Awkwardness, ho! I too really want a quest featuring all the Town Watch members, but I unfortunately have none of the parts for Serevan, and he's honestly one of my favourites. I do have the parts for Lilith, Patricia, Nevron, and the two guards from Guffington 2, I believe, so just about everyone.
  16. Looking back though, not everyone in the city can use magic. I think if magic was involved it would be a whole different can of worms you'd be dealing with. Once magic entered the picture, anything was possible. That and I think a killer with no magic abilities makes a better, and more serious threat. Someone poofing out of thin air with a wand and blowing people up, while scary, is more... comical, I'd think. That was intentional. Abigail was never caught before you were called in, the Town Watch and The Syndicate were out looking for her. It may be the sequel to Grim Grinning Ghosts, actually, since the basic idea of the quest is down pat, I just need everything that goes on in between.
  17. They could all be the newbie quest, actually. One involves a treasure hunt for the Cat Burglar's hidden stash, another is the sequel to Grim Grinning Ghosts, my first quest, and another involves the mail system in Eubric and a fanatic lover. So in all honesty, it's at this point finding out the best way to advance the plots, because I've got these great ideas and have no clue where to go with them.
  18. "Ah. Makes sense and all. And no, I wasn't expecting someone purple, at least not yet. I heard the boss's special someone knows he's planning something, and she's free at any time for the next little while. I happen to know my way around here, actually. Would you care for a drink?" Karie decided to join in on Octavyn's fun, gesturing to the bar upstairs. After the trip in the woods, this was making her feel better.
  19. A peculiar blue clad individual meanders into the hall, without their trusted feline companion. After closing the doors, they wander about until they notice a familiar face, or more properly, hood, mingling with the other hall patrons. Oh brother... Mustering up a boyish voice, and a bit of courage, they walk toward their higher up. "Uh... hey, Octavyn, hows it going?"
  20. You hurt Karie's feelings, not mine!
  21. Bye bye Hinckwell rep, it was nice knowing you.

  22. Quest 84 I had fun! As much as I hate losing that Hinckwell rep, and as much as it's going to be an absolute pain getting it back, I had fun! I thought the set up was nice, the characters plenty of fun, and it was short, which I think a huge plus. The moment on the highway was probably my favourite of all things though, just to see Thothwick have to deal with Karie. I love how the list of people Karie can't stand to be around grew by two this time, locking Thothwick probably at the same level of Lawrence due to him being an all around two faced jerk to her. She'd probably have lived with it more had Thothwick came out and just said he didn't like witches, but it wouldn't have totally changed things. I feel as if Karie has some respect for Dyric though, just a smidgen at best. He was at least not trying to be a bigot towards Karie and at least being reasonable to a degree. And then the final decision came down and perhaps whatever effect Karie had to show not all witches are evil to Thothwick came undone. Which is a shame, because I thought the two would have gotten along had things gone differently. This was the first time Karie failed a quest, and hard. She felt as if the screw up from 70 would hold true, and she wouldn't backstab the employer, but that back fired with Dyric and Thothwick siding with the Shadeux. I'd say she's confused as hell. Who knows what's she doing out in the woods right now, but it's nothing good. I have a few complaints, and it's battle wise, mainly with the bomb mechanic. I didn't like is the short answer. The long answer is that I felt it was cheap. If it perhaps either effected row or SP I would have been fine, but both felt ridiculous. A good roll and the three of us would have been everywhere at once. The other being Grady's special. It was also OP to the point where none of us could attack him at some points. Thank goodness for Djinni! All in all though, I had fun, and that's really all I ask for. If all I've got to complain about are two battle mechanics, I think you did an excellent job! Thanks for the quest Zepher!
  23. Karie nods to Shawe, and walks away from the group, seeing as how theirs nothing left to do. She knew who'd be seeing her shortly. She felt heavy, as if everything in Brendenton had been undone in two short days. She needed to escape from this. She needed to get away from that idiot Thothwick and Dyric. Kicking something hard along the way, she picks up a light and darkness elemental bomb. She sulks off into the woods, Hershey following behind her inquisitively. OOC: Thanks for the quest Zepher! I had fun! I've got a lot to say actually, so I'll something up in the lounge shortly. Anyways, thanks, I had good time, and I hope the others don't feel as if I'm angry with them. You guys were a blast to quest with.
  24. Here's some bonus material, and behind the scenes stuff. How it Was Done: Marcus Sassina was secretly seeing a woman. The woman and Sassina had apparently met earlier and planned to murder the other three. For what reason, the party nor the authorities know. When Abigail came to deliver the guard's meal, she forgot to give them something from the kitchen. As the food was passed around, Sassina slipped the sleeping agent into the wine with a syringe, which knocked two of the guards out, with the exception being Alan, who apparently didn't drink any of the wine. When the two men hit the floor, Sassina strangled St. Germain, and afterwards light him on fire. He then killed the other to men then waited for the woman to arrivre. As this happen, Abigail returned to give the guards the remaining food, but witnessed the woman and Sassina talking, and eventually make out, as well as the bodies of the guards. As the two embraced, the woman stabbed Sassina in the back with a dagger laced with deadly poison, which put him in a state of shock. The sleeping agent was delivered through the kiss the two had. He stared at Abigail, which made her believe Sassina noticed her, but in reality he had been literally stabbed in the back. Abigial ran in fear of Sassina coming after her for seeing him making out with the woman and the bodies. After Sassina realized what the woman had done he tried to get her away from him by pushing her out, which probably caused her pearls to come off during the shuffle. He slammed the door and locked it, but the damage had been done. Sassina slumped over and died probably seconds later. Red Herrings: Potential Suicide?- The possibility that Daniel was the killer will most likely come up. Daniel was the only one not to have the sleeping agent in him after all. Daniel could have killed the other three men and then committed suicide to cover it up. However, if this were the case, he'd have to light himself on fire and then jump off the crate in the second room in order to hang himself. However, the rafters show no burn damage, and if he did indeed hang himself, wouldn't the rope have been burnt as well? The Kitchen Girl- The Kitchen Girl could have easily done it. Sneak into the guardhouse, kill all of them, then sneak out again. This becomes more possible when she confesses to killing the four of them by opening up the bottle of wine beforehand and inserting the sleeping agent, waited for all of them to fall asleep, and then killed them. However, this contradicts the evidence that was found. There was no trace of a sleeping agent found on the cork cap. If she indeed did kill them in the manner in which the evidence shows, she wouldn't have opened the bottle. After being assured Sassina is dead, Abigail will act as a witness. Potential Wolfgang Connection?- The party may come to the conclusion that the Wolfgang may have been responsible. A hit on four guards to show off their strength is a likely and plausible theory. However, as the case goes on, this becomes less likely, as evidence begins to stack against this theory. There is no evidence to support, or deny this claim, but still, the party can, and probably will encounter this as a potential explanation. --- As well, as you all most likely want to know, the references: -At first, it seems as if there was no pony references. YOU THOUGHT WRONG! Quite a few of the NPC's share the last names of the cast of the show. Connor Strong to Tara Strong, Abigail Libman to Andrea Libman, Alan St. Germain to Tabitha St. Germain. -The other big reference came with one of the pieces of evidence, the Barrel to be a matter of fact. I whited out a few words, so it was less of a reference and more of an easter egg for those who were looking out for them. Barrel (Produce)- A lone barrel storing apples as well as Pewd's worst enemies. That's it for now! My next quest is currently in development hell, since I'm stumbling over different ideas. There will be a sequel coming up around Christmas to 83, so look out for it.
  25. "At least I don't have to reinstate I'm worth something with a silly title." She stated bluntly.
