Lady Perin seems unenthused about Heckz comment. "Don't push your luck, Heckz. I don't really take to men like you. That being said, I think it's time I went to sleep too. Good night, I suppose." Perin begins to grab her things as Heckz makes it upstairs and to his room. "It is better to be a failure than no one at all, dwarf. It is getting late. Goodnight, dwarf." And with that, Tamaki slithers his way upstairs. Throlar realizes he still doesn't have his room key, unless he intended to sleep outside. Saskia glances at him before continuing her work, seemingly unimpressed. "How many other women have you told that to, and then ran off on her? I've no intention on getting pregnant with the money I'm making." She continues to sweep. Throlar and Eric soon find themselves the almost alone in the main hall, with the exception being Rollinger, Saskia, and Albert. Rollinger groggily makes his way to his two companions still awake. "Well, I'm of to bed, shortly. I don't care what you two intend to do, but sleep might do us all some good." QM Note: Heckz, your PM will arrive tomorrow. Karie looks down at the line of ink, crossing her arms, looking somewhat unimpressed. "I am thoroughly underwhelmed. This is the conveyer belt that the oculoids kept going on about? There's nothing to even mock about it! The whole thing's so... dispassionate." She frowns as she notices Em cutting Alice's hand, but says nothing. Instead she looks down at Punii. "So, Punii, are you thinking what I'm thinking with that Doomsday Bomb?"

"Well, you chose to work for Heroica. I suppose it has it's benefits, but I can't see them. Best of luck with your delivery, Heckz." "Ssshame." The snake hisses. "Culture is a curious thing. I do not quite understand your bitter sarcasm, as I find it rather rude, but if it part of dwarven culture, so be it."

Karie looks to the girl, squinting her eyes. "No... that helps. I found it odd that Seerus hasn't shown his ugly head around here for awhile. I was wondering if perhaps we were dealing with Alice Incor... or someone else entirely. If she managed to lash out at you though, then I'd lean on her being the real deal. It could all be one big charade though."

Karie shoves her hands in her pockets before responding, looking Em in the eye. "What exactly happened between you and Alice?" She asked in a hushed voice, hoping the other red head wouldn't hear.

"20 gold. That fancy looking sorcerer already got himself a room, and so did the paladin." Saskia giggles, blushing slightly. "You wouldn't be the first to ask. I've turned everyone else down, I figured I didn't want to become the town harlot." She begins to wipe down a table. "Tamaki, and no, I didn't intend to go out on length to discuss it with you. However, if you need some supplies, perhaps I could make you an offer on some of my excess medicinal wares? I'm hoping to stay here another night, and I'm running low on coinsss." Tamaki's Excess Supplies Potion- Restores 10 health. Karie sighs, looking down at all the little people beneath them. "I'm upset with you... I get why perhaps you did it, but that doesn't make it right. You took advantage off me, Masson, in a situation which I couldn't say no. At least you know what you did was selfish, and your sorry, but that doesn't really do much now. What's done is done. I volunteered to take the poison, and the Regret manipulated us." Karie pulls out her paper doll, looking it over lazily. "We can discuss this in further detail when we get out of this place and the Regret's plans get foiled. Come on, it's cold out." "To the Regret, maybe, but his definition of words tends to be a little skewed. He may have something he defines as a treasure, but to us... it can't be anything good." Karie looks at Alice with a half hearted smile. "You did good, sure." Karie turns to Em, motioning him over. "Em- Mortimer, can I have a word?"

The naga simply slithers around Throlar, looking him over. "I am sssurprised you're not missing your frontal lobe. It may come as a ssshock, but the brain can function without it, dwarf. Do you have any experience in the art of medicine, dwarf?" Perin looks over to the Paladin Rollinger, who seems to be chatting with the brunette Heckz saw sweeping earlier. "Those guys? A bunch of sticks in the mud. All of them. There's a reason I work for the count and not those chumps: because I actually get to have fun doing what I do." She takes a large bite out of her piece of chicken before continuing. "I'm heading back to Eubric and taking a boat to Goland. It's a strange little island, rich in mineral deposits. The count's got some business there, and apparently some trouble's brewing in the mines. Some kind of bug infestation. Nothing a few good men and myself can't handle. What's in this package your delivering? Or is that top secret?" Albert grumbles. "The slack jawed idiots that come through here. This used to be a decent place, with decent customers. Now I've got to content to the idiot's lot. Some of the stuff that happens in this inn, I tell ya..." The inn keeper begins cleaning a mug as he listens to Eric's story. "Well if you're looking to play cards, a bunch of oddballs came in here recently with the strangest set of cards I've ever seen. All strange creatures and numbers on the cards and what not. The two seemed almost infatuated with it. In fact, they left one of these on the floor. Saskia picked it up and gave it to me. I don't care for it, so take it if you want it." Albert retrieves a familiar looking card from behind the bar and shows it to Eric. "That paladin's a regular here. He's a cocky one, for sure, but at least he pays good. Now, are you wanting a room for the night, or not? It's either in here, or out there, in the cold."

Karie allows her Blazing Oculoid Palm to slither back up her arm, feeling her stomach. Blood stained her sweater and a hole had ripped into her outfit, directly on her stomach. She curses under her breath, wondering how she'd never been knocked out. "I can do without any substantial loot." She notices the other members of her group, looking weak and cold,. She moves over to Masson, trying to keep a level head. She felt more confused than angered, although she still felt it burning inside her. She found words hard to find. Instead she stands next to him, looking down.

Then you're getting nailed with Free Hits. A whole lot of Free Hits.

OOC: Um... where's everyone? Karie looks down at her bleeding stomach, feeling weak. She begins to feel sick, as she steps back, trying not to fall over. "Kind of... kind of got a problem here."

The bar tender takes Eric's coin and hands him a mead. "Are you deaf? I told you that common room's full, and if people aren't down here, they're asleep." "Albert, can you please lower your voice, the herbalist-" "Never mind what the herbalist said, Saskia! I'm fine. I'm as fit as a fiddle! I don't need no herbalist telling me what I need to take, especially not some greenskin!" Albert scoffs, scratching the back of his head. "Why don't you go clear some of the tables? If we get anyone else in here, we should at least be able to compete with the pirate bar across town!" "Certainly." Saskia replies, bitterness in her voice. She puts her broom against the wall and begins clearing and wiping down tables. "So, master nord, what brings you to Bric'lin? I noticed you came in with some companions, particularly that paladin. Seems rather odd that he'd be out this far unless something was going down." "Young master Nuitan? I see. That'd make you Heckz. Umbra talked a bit about you. My name is Lady Perin. I ensure the Count's assets and employees don't wind up in the hands of bandits... or worse. So, what brings you to this inn? Anyone coming in with a paladin isn't piddling about." The naga seemed to take the dwarf's response well until Throlar's last sentence. "I think Mr. Dwarf needs to choose his words wisely, unless he wishes to come off as rude." The naga replies, his tongue lashing out of his mouth. "If you intend to feel sorry for me, why continue to bring up the insult? Are all dwarfs as contradictory as you?"

"I take that as sssarcasssm, dwarf." The naga hisses, looking angered. "Besides, what's it to you how I feel?" The woman rolls her eyes at Heckz's first comment but gives a low chuckle at his second. "The dwarf, the nord, and the paladin? A trio with sticks up their megablocks. Never really liked either three of those groups. Why not take a seat, sorcerer? I feel you're familiar somehow? Are you on good terms with the Shadeux?"

The inn keeper hands Heckz his key and his glass of water after he takes his money, the sorcerer shortly moving to the "elven" woman's table. She eyes him from her meal, looking rather irritated by the sorcerer. "Give me one reason why I should let you sit down, and I'll consider it." The naga looks at Throlar suspiciously, not sure what to make of him. He speaks to him in a foreign and curious accent. "I've just fled my country over fear of being another victim of war. How do you think I feel, dwarf?"

That sounds better. Karie realizing Jeaux's slotted Essence, switches to using a Remedy on Punii if Roots of Life isn't rolled. If Roots of Life is rolled, she strikes the Wound from the Back Row. "Punii, glad to see you're still with us."

"Exactly my point." Rollinger replies to Throlar, tapping his nose as if he knew something. He makes his way to the counter. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize the king o' Uland had arrived. My apologies, sir." He replies cockily, but not before his face swells in anger again, "Now get in or get the hell out!" He hollered at the dwarf, pointing his finger in the direction of the door before returning to his work. Actually, I had an idea for a quest which involved aliens trying to abduct the sheep of the Sheep Tribe, with the party protecting the livestock during the night, ala Majora's Mask, but couldn't find a way to do it, nor do I have a whole lot of aliens. If anyone's interested though, I'd love to co-host it and see the shock on Sandy's face when he reads the pitch.

Hate to keep saying this, but did you account for Karie being Lucky? Or did she roll Miss twice? Also, Masson's got my Paper Doll in his Inventory still. "Not looking good... I've got Punii should our tree here falter. Otherwise I can take another shot at the Wound, or I can heal. It's up to you guys, really." Karie uses a Phoenix Essence on Punii, unless Roots of Life are rolled, in which case Karie strikes the Wound.

"You three sound like a bunch of bickering old crones. Let's get off the damn road and into the bloody inn." Not wanting to risk any more time on the road, the party quickly makes it into Bric'lin. The town is dead quiet with the exception of the din emitting from the large building, the inn's warm lights breaking through the fog outside. Opening the door the party is greeted by a packed building filled with offbeat looking patrons and boisterous laughter and talking. The sound of competes with the patrons to be heard amongst their discussions and boozing. A roaring fire crackles and sizzles in the rooms centre, a few coats and cloaks resting near it's fiery embrace. "Oi! Don't stand in the bloody doorway, especially at this hour! Your letting the cold in!" The man behind the counter shouts irritably at the party.

Oh, wow, really enticed by Skull Island! The female pirate looks fantastic, and the new crocodile pieces look really nice and updated! I'm really liking the smaller sets of this line, they're legitimately really good!

Eric went closer to the sign to try and make out it's lettering. The words Bric'lin Trading Post sit proudly in the fog. "Thank the gods." QM Note: More substantial update coming tomorrow. I've got some sets to put together.
