CONTEST: Pillage the Village - Terms & Conditions
Gen. Knowledge replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Has my wife been telling short stories about me again? Tony -
The new soldiers, what shall I do with them?
Gen. Knowledge replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Whatever you end up doing, don't sell off your old redcoats. They may not match exactly with the new ones, but I'm sure you can find them a new home in your new army. They have been so loyal to you all these years when there was no pirate theme, don't turn your back on them because of some new shiny red torsos. Tony -
Thanks for the closeups DNL. That is some amazing work. She's bound to be a winner. Tony

I really like all the details you put into your MOCs. I guess that's why you have the little Moc Expert badge. I already mentioned it on the forbidden cove site, but I would like to see more detailed/closeup pictures so I could borrow/steal some ideas... Tony

What makes you think one will not be released in North America? That would be very disturbing news, unless it's the pirate impulse set. Tony

Welcome to EB beuk. Nice entry. Good luck. Tony

What do you think of the Islander sets?
Gen. Knowledge replied to Island boy's topic in LEGO Pirates
I hope they will use a darker skin tone. I need some Zulus to defeat my army. Tony -
So which one are you? Tony

The biggest Prize Pool in AFOL fansite history?
Gen. Knowledge replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Great prizes Mister Phes! What are the conditions of these sets? Are they MISB? I know I would never win, but it would be nice if the winner from each category could choose the prize they want. For example, in the Midsize category I value the Third place prize over the other two. But there is no way to build a MOC with the intent to win third place? Or is there? Oh well, so when will we see the rules? Tony -
What do you think of the Islander sets?

Try? There is no try, either you do or you do not. I take it you didn't... oh well, I guess I'm back to shopping on BL and eBay. Tony -
These pics are great! I really like the Mechanical one. Tony

Very nice work NewRight, I would like to read more about it if you have the time. Tony

I haven't received it yet. I bought it for about $62. It also comes with 5 Imperial Guards, 1 Imperial Guard Admiral, a a couple extra pirates. I'm really only buying it for parts (an expensive way to do it) so it's total completeness is not that important to me. The seller has 100% feedback selling Lego Sets. Tony

I really like the way the water came out. There is a sense of movement to it. Tony

Beautifully done Duke. Is the samurai meditating or trying to catch the fish? Tony
-
He posted this MOC on another website. His signature has the yellow brick with Ambassador written on it. I don't know if that means he is a LEGO ambassador though. Tony

I just found a MISB collector's wet dream come true! Check out the link to this eBay find. CLICK HERE I wish I had the money to buy it. Tony

Very nice Imperial Dock. There is a playability factor to it, not just one fixed scene. I really like the curve of the wall and the steps that follow the curve. Tony
-
Please add me to the raffle. Thank you. Tony

If you check out Sir Dano's Flickr page, you will see some box art for the new sets as well as some sets not in the 2009 catalog. Click HERE. and HERE. I hope it is OK with you Sir Dano? Tony

OK Guss, I took these pictures just for you. I tried to incorporate everything y'all suggested. It's nowhere close to completion, but additional suggestions/comments/criticism would be appreciated. Tony

Thanks Guss, I went back to change the ocean bottom to brighten it up alittle, and ended up almost redoing the whole MOC. I will post some new pics soon. I'm waiting on a shark per one of the earlier suggestions. Thanks for the suggestions Captain Zuloo, but what are "blur bricks"? Thanks Mister Phes. After seeing SirNadroj's stunning entry today, mine looks so dark and bulky. His dual layer effect came out great. Thanks to all the members on this board, I have been able to make great improvements to my building skills. I was just using this contest as an excuse to build. I will have to find another contest so my wife won't complain too much. Will there be any contest on Classic-Pirates? Thanks HMS243. I have bulked up the beach more, and broken up the waterline to make it a little more realistic. Tony

I just won an Eldorado Fortress recently on eBay. I can't wait until it gets here. I typically don't like to buy my sets used, but it's the cheapest way these days. Plus, it probably won't stay in it's original state for long anyway. Tony
