Hm... nice... lots of bricks for an oil rig... Looks better than I thought with that little Technic that's used... Maybe... maybe it'll find its way into my collection... Thanks for the pics *sweet*

Nope ;-) Yeah, you'd think so ;-) I can't tell from the picture, though, it's all incomplete and the important parts of the sentences are blocked by bricks. What I can make out is a bit more than a standard reply but I can't make out their point of view. Maybe it's a generic reply to blay haters ;-)
-
Well, now it sure sounds like it... watch your words!
-
Not much to decipher here... Well, JoJo is a blay-hater (;-)) and the picture title (theysentthemback) suggests that he complained to LEGO Direct about blay parts (probably in a set he bought or something) and sent them the parts to exchange - and they sent them back, with that letter...

I think that's a left-over from the original Pirate ranking system...

:-D :-D :-D Hilarious :-D So, now we know what Snake Plissken's been doing since his escape(s)... I never thought we'd see your vigs in the T&T forum, Athos *y*

25 Euro is quite high since it's listed for 17 on S@H... IMHO it's a decent successor to 4549 even if it comes without any cargo vehicle and just 1 MF. But the front being 10-wide is ridiculously wide for a vehicle, even in the new scale. Getting rid of the two red Technic pins should help that, though, I think. 4549's stacker was 8-wide in the front and was already wide for the "classic" scale, too, but 10 is a bit too much. Especially when you consider that Model Team was 10/12-wide :-| I like the lifting mechanism on this one better, though. For 17 Euro I might consider buying it if I can't get my hand on a 4549 ;-) Thanks for the review and the pics *sweet*

While your review is funny and has good pics (no surprise here ;-)) I still don't like the "station" - because IMHO it's just a platform. I had a gut feeling back in November/December that TLC would give us a new train station this year since 4513 is 3 years in the past, but this is a disappointment. I expected something more like a(n even more) modernized 4513 to accompany the airport or a revamped 4554. This is just a bigger platform that needs at least 4 copies and quite a few pieces (or better yet a 4554) from your own collection to make something decent. Still, the new City line hasn't shown that many non-police-or-fire sets in a long time. Good to see *y*

Alright, time to comment on the set: For someone just starting with City it's a terrific set. The ship looks just like a freighter should, the crane has the typical harbor look, and the fisherman and the little office add nice details. I just don't like the road pieces they used for the pier. It doesn't look like a cargo pier that has to be able to support lots of containers and heavy trucks. It looks more like some sort of "pontoon". I liked the old bases with 6541 and 6542 better. Talking about heavy cargo, the truck is just too "cute". That's not what a cargo hauler looks like. In a cargo harbor I expect to see semis. 1552 is even a 6-wide model that would fit this harbor. There's also something about the structure in the back of the crane house that I don't like compared to the crane in 6541, can't put my finger on it... looks... too "constructed" somehow... And after people already complained with 10170 we get new containers again. Being 6-wide now they can at least be considered something completely new and not just inconsistently redesigned. Still, a great new set to the revamped City line. *y* Great review yoda, always good to see some decent set photography *sweet*

OK, massing up a huge MF collection kinda makes sense to me. 15k is impressive. I understand when people say they have a couple of certain sets they really like and keep one on display, one MISB and maybe another one to sell to invest in other sets or - if it's a train/city set or the like - to use in a layout. But why do you buy 63 copies of any set if you "just" store them? I'm really curious as to what your goal is...
-
You know, looking at the sets arranged like that, it's quite a nice collection. Haven't seen that a varied and colorful picture of LEGO City sets in a long time...

You're makin' me cry :'-) X-D

Aw, man, one of my favorites. Where and how much? *sing* X-D

Nope, it's Police time. The last station is from 2005, that would make 3 years next year. We might see more civilian sets but there will be a Police station, 3 years is just too long without a new Police station...

Germany and UK both are in the EU. There is no customs within the EU.

I just tried to order the airport and have it shipped to London. It's possible, just costs 6 Euro shipping.
