There's also this way with 12V controls which I like a lot. But it's obviously only for people who have some of those controls left (which I happen to have :-)), unless you don't mind buying them off ebay and hook them up to some 12V power source...

Nah, it was totally boring... -
30 12V straight track, a 12V train motor, 918 Space Transport and 928 Galaxy Explorer off ebay, plus about 2.5 kg bricks from the PaB and "Special PaB" at the EB event at LEGOLAND Germany :-$

She's my wife since last September... which... makes this picture even more... "disturbing" X-D -
Alright guys, I am off to a short trip through Bavaria and will meet you Friday. A reminder: Don't forget your room number to avoid confusion at the check in (see my last update). Rooms are booked for "Eurobricks". See you Friday!

4511 was produced in old gray but the latest sets came in blay (haven't heard about "mixed" sets). The two expansion sets (10157 and 10158) have always come in blay. I got a 4511 for christmas in 2004 that was old gray. I also bought 10157 and 10158 without knowing they came in blay only, so I had a mixed 4511. While I don't mind a blay-only set that mixed train looked like :-X

Judging by the amount of Town/Train displays at exhibitions I don't think so. I just think there isn't anyone out there who wants to find enough time to set up a web site/portal and maintain it, the latter being the most difficult. Ask Mr Phes how much time and effort it takes...

In the age of skype et al not a problem at all... That would be something new... What else do you do? :-P

I was just thinking the same thing... then again, jipay is on the hunt for (a) girl(s), maybe it's just a scheme...

Links are broken...

Why not in the other topic? :-| We have tons of contests, titles, flags, tags already. Uh... why would that be any of your business? Covered as well. Old topics "disappear" to the end of the topic list, so they rid themselves. Thanks, but no thanks. The administrators of EB take care of this, and they've done a pretty decent job so far. Closed (and don't start a new topic!).

Closed until further notice.

OK, once and for all... This is how it looked liked when you browsed to EB while the joke was "on": Screenshot Then jipay put the site online again, and to tell everybody who had missed it he posted the topic "worst april fools joke". Everything clear now?! Geeeez...

Happy birthday, monsieur EB. You have now reached the (lower) realms of old age (you're a quarter century old, ever thought about it that way?) :-P Enjoy your day filled with rattling boxes - which you then can bring to the event and we'll gladly share with you :-P Oh, and find yourself a woman finally :-P Joyeux anniversaire!

They frequently show up on ebay, not all that expensive... I agree, trains have to be wider than the rails, that's something that has always bothered me. But 8-wide is too big IMHO. You have to make the models a bit longer and they look awkward in curves. I read that train fans prefer 7-wide. It gives them the possibility to build details (like wheel greeblies) yet the model don't have to be too long. If it only weren't that difficult to build ;-)

That wasn't his point. His point was that he has to browse through another forum if he wants to read all the Theater theme related topics. He prefers them all in one forum.

Aaaah! That's the one I've been waiting for! Excellent! *y* You're probably inspired by Easter to do those vigs but just 2 weeks ago I watched "The Ten Commandments" with Charlton Heston, IMHO the best "Life of Moses movie", and this scene is just terrific in this movie. I found it interesting that shortly after you started these vigs, and since then I've been waiting for this one :-)

Pfff... who can see that puny link after a 20000 words essay *wacko* :-P

All these stories are funny but somehow I have my doubts whether they're real. There's just too many of them...

Now that's a decent Hoth base, not this puny li'l set we'll get... Boy, you're walking on thin ice...

What other colours would you want lego bricks in?
Hobbes replied to Optimax X's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, if they cut down on quality they can at least give us that... -

Slightly OT: Frames - they're a pest. You can link to a frame directly if you check the properties of the frame itself (right-click somewhere on the frame page and click "Properties"). That link is the link to the frame. The side effect is that you'll lose the frames around it and have a "naked" page. For this particular site it means you'll lose the ability to navigate... -
This is cool. "Cute" houses, very "old style". I like that. That fireplace is ingenious, yet so simple. I'm not a Pirates specialist but I really like them *wub* Man, that smiley looks gay...
