I'm not sure what this means as, to my knowledge, I've never interacted with you before. With that being said, issue dropped. @Peppermint_M -

Wise guy? You made a statement to support your argument and I asked if it was based on factual data. You offered several non-answers followed by saying, no, it's not based on fact. I'm not the wise guy here. -

Drawing inferences does not make something a fact. I was asking if you'd seen actual data to that effect. Clearly you haven't. -

I'll take that as a 'no'. -

I don't know. That's not my argument and not what I'm asking about. -

Obviously they make money. I'm asking if your original comment, that police makes as much as those other subthemes combined, is based on fact. Am I understanding what you're saying? -

Is this statement based on fact? -
Looking at the pics trying to figure out how you activate the light brick...the gray piece to the right of the fireplace (interior)? Edit: "Press the chimney smoke button to activate the light brick and make the fireplace glow." I love this as it doesn't require access to the back of the model. I have limited space for my village and accessing the back of the models is difficult when displayed.

Wow that looks great. I like how it's not over the top gingerbread. Could easily be a Tudor-style home. Love it. Avail Oct 1, no mention of VIP but I think it's likely. (maybe not?)
-
I've not seen confirmation anywhere else as of yet however in 2017 & 2018 the winter village set was 1 of 2 VIP early releases in the month of Sept.
-
Sometime between now and the 18th.
-
Every year dating back to 2015 (possibly further) the Winter Village set was released on either Oct 1 or 2. Stonewars says Oct 1 w/ Sept 18 VIP release and they seem to have a pretty good reputation. https://www.stonewars.de/geruechte/lego-10267-winter-village-lebkuchenhaus/

Last year we got official teasers starting the beginning of September with an official announcement Sept 9. In years previous the info trickled out in August. Unless someone manages to spy a catalog page or internal retailer info I wouldn't expect any reliable info until the beginning of August.

LEGO Creator 2019 - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation

Probably unlikely but it would be awesome to get a Command Module in the appropriate scale as an official set. I'd buy a second Lunar Module set if I knew that was forthcoming.- 280 replies

I agree with @Aanchir . A lot of people on here forget, or fail to acknowledge, that the target market for these sets doesn't care about realism as much as they care about how it sparks imagination. I'm guilty of this from time to time...I remember posting something about Sky Police not being realistic. But the fact remains kids probably really dig these subthemes. My son is a bit younger than the City theme right now but if I bought him a set with 2 planes or a rocket ship and rovers he'd lose his mind and play for hours. So instead of going on about how Lego has lost the plot or becoming disconnected from the consumers remember who these sets are designed for. It's not us. Or, I dunno, buy the sets and make them into what you want them to be...we're only talking about, arguably, the most versatile building toy ever conceived.

Distributing someone else's work without their knowledge / permission is not acceptable. Full stop. And no, to raise issue with this is not "just as wrong". @Tenderlok has every right ask for the removal of his work from unauthorized websites, regardless how much "great work" this unnamed person does.

I'll reserve final judgement until I see the actual sets but the preliminary renders are pretty uninspiring. I might Bricklink a couple of the minifigs but probably won't spend for the sets. At this point I'm MUCH more interested in the NASA branded torso that popped up on IG last week.

To me it looks like a hood from a cleansuit of some sort. Maybe astronaut decon / support team?
-
An astronaut wouldn't wear a facemask with a headsock though.

I agree with this. I was expecting a new helmet so it didn't even occur to me they'd retread something. Not a deal breaker for me but still slightly disappointing.

REVIEW: 71023 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie 2 Series

I accidentally cut the very bottom of Dorthy's dress with scissors when I opened the package. I shook the pack before opening but the dress was wedged in the sealed end at the top. SNIP It ended up being pretty unnoticeable but a little irritating nonetheless. -
I've never seen one but I guess it's possible. It seems like the functionality exists solely to rotate the water cannon. Really strange.
