UrbanErwin replied to James_T_Menendez's topic in LEGO Train Tech
it looks good but I'm concerned about the availability of some parts. -
on the left will be continued by me. hope this explains
-
I won't continue the mountain. The others side will I continue.
-
Yes the other side will be continued by me. And perhaps other directions will be continued too.
-
in my plan there was a industrial area. so I have to specify that a bit. The other side (mountain) will be continued by an other guy.
-
It looks very good. Height, perhaps a tunnel with some modulars on top of it and track ballast.

Of course but I'm running low on inspiration and bricks ( but tha latter can be bought. that depends on what kind of ballast you were thinking of. If I put leafs on the tracks, my trains can't ride or the NS (Dutch railways) will panic
-
Wow, That's pretty massive.
-
Indeed a fantastic Job, Can we get inside shots of those decoupler houses?
-
It looks good especially the gondola, I love the texture.
-
If it is train based a station is required. That's the spirit!
-
I've added some small ballast details to make it more natural.

^ looks good ^ can I enter this? It has working suspension -
there are two versions expensive and relatively cheap (used).
-
Cool, but why are the coaches 8 wide and the engines cab seven
-
I've made a MOW vehicle and a Octan tank car with working suspension
-
Thank you LT12v I'm still open to suggestions for the base. (anything from slug to crane is welcome) EDIT: it will be something like this (thank you Duq)
-
after having a closer look, those control things are as high as the clearance of the monorail base is.
-
I've build my monorail on top of the base so having some overhang so it doesn't collide with control stuff Give me 10 minutes and I have a picture Here you go: I hope this clarifies stuff a bit
-
six wide monorails work perfectly fine. Height is more of a problem if you let the tracks pass each other. Extra carriages, I don't know. I'm curious too.
-
I'm looking for some input. I don't know what to put on it. EDIT: LDD download link
-
LOL, mine is close too within 200 meters @Stinky do you use IP-addresses that you can get it so close?
-
Very cool and realistic. My only suggestion is making the borders underneath the hill a more consistent color like black or brown. 2X2 tiles are cheaper.
-
As I said about the Ldd design, It is very cool and compact. Are you going to build the green one too?
