http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brick-City-Grown-ups-Warren-Elsmore/dp/184533812X I got this book the other day. I did a search for it on the forums but there didn't seem to be much about it. It has pictures of some really beautiful MOCS of various landmarks around the world, and lots of interesting building instructions. I haven't built any of the models in the book yet, but they have some really interesting and unusual techniques.

A great song from one of my all-time favourite bands, Rush. They're an amazing band to see live. I've recently discovered 808 State and got the Greatest Hits album Blueprint. I love this track and its use of samples. I love this song by Louis Philippe. Its based on the music from the Earthbound games.

Brilliant. I like the patterning on the walls of the model. They make a good representation of the classic TARDIS. The brick-build K9 is cool as well.

I love this MOC. The timing for it is good as well, what which the new album coming out. I think some Interstella 5555 models, such as the guitar-shaped spaceship, would be really cool.

Beautiful MOCs. I love the creative use of pieces for the anatomy of the different creatures. They have a very realistic appearance.

Beautiful. It looks like a real, living coral reef.

Sounds really interesting. I've recently got some of the Collectable Minifigs so it would be quite interesting to build something for them.- 13 replies

Hi I've recently got back into Lego and I want to try making some Technic MOCS. I've seen some great theme park ride MOCS and I'm quite like to try doing this sort of thing myself. Are there any good tutorials for learning about this sort of thing. I'm thinking that building a Magic Carpet style ride might be a good place to start for a beginner like me. - video of a Magic Carpet rideAlso, is it possible to simulate the movement and power functions of Technic MOCS in Lego Digital Designer? Cheers Teessider

I love the use of lighting to give the trans-clear bricks colour. Have you got access to a tripod, because that would allow you to use a long exposure time?

I love the details of this MOC. It's fun as well.

Best/Worst designed licenced minifigure ever?
Teessider replied to Santaduckz's topic in LEGO Licensed
I particularly like the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit minifigures. They have brilliant printing and are true to the appearance of the characters in the films. If I had to choose a favourite I'd probably go with King Theoden because of the detail on his armour and the gravitas of his facial expression. The Ringwraith minifig is good as well, as it really captures their foreboding, shadow-like quality. I'm looking forward to seeing the future minifigs of this line. In the early days of the Star Wars theme I thought the Darth Maul minifigure was pretty cool. The head printing is good and I also liked the double lightsaber. -
I've only recently got back into Lego so this year I want to start building some MOCs. I'd like to do some Doctor Who and James Bond MOCS as well as a train station for my nephew. I also want to sort out my old Lego and set up a display area. In terms of sets, I'm interested in buying some more LOTR and Monster Fighters sets, as well as the Palace Cinema or the Grand Emporium. I'm also quite interested in the Grand Carousel and the Ferris Wheel.

I like the contrast between the inside of the biodome and the outside world as well. The use of the Statue of Liberty minifig is a nice touch.

I really like this MOC. The stonework and architectural details are brilliant.

I like how you've used small bricks to make the vehicles on the force-field highway. Great MOC.

These MOCS are really accurate. I particularly like the octopus on the seafood stall.

Brilliant MOC. I like how you've only shown the monster's hands as it opens the door.

Great MOC. I like how you've used upside-down flower stem pieces for the smaller triffids.
