Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
adotnamedstud replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wouldn't be surprised if we got Cap with a winged cowl as Iron Man uses the Mighty Micros helmet. I'm just going to wait for pictures of the Cap set. Until then, I stand by the Nighthawk idea. (Not confirmed BTW.)- 5,808 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
adotnamedstud replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Pretty sure someone reliable said the count of 13 sets DID NOT include Dimensons sets a while back. So I believe Delta here, we're only missing one set then. Which could be an exclusive to Target/Walmart, they are usually always the last sets we get information/pictures for. -

Hello, if you don't know me, that's cool. I'm usually just the very snarky person commenting on the new set forums for DC/Marvel. I haven't posted a MOC in a while and when I was looking through my stream. I decided that I wanted to do something for Eurobricks, just in the sense of it being there. If you've seen my Flickr recently, you may notice that I'm pretty much just writing stories and posting the occasional thing I want to do. To trick myself but also help some close friends out, I decided that I should make shout outs for them using their respective heroes that they write for or so-on, so-forth. Now, if you go on Flickr usually and follow some accounts that love giving shout outs, all they do is take screenshots of the other person's profile and it really annoys me. So I wanted to draw attention to those people in a unique manner. Now, I know I want to make something special for Eurobricks but the only way I'd have time for it is tricking myself much like the shoutouts. One of the things I did on my stream was applying for Cyborg in a story group so, I had built an origin of sorts and called it good. Now, I came to Eurobricks and wanted to post some MOCs and had no ideas for which ones to post. Being a DC Fan, there's this marvelous thing called Secret Origins. Now this is where hopefully all the pieces come together and if it's confusing, I apologize, I just wrote another Cyborg issue and my brain is all wacky for typing and such. The first shout out build was for Aquaman. I based it off of the New 52 a bit with the JL origin, I could be wrong but he came onto land with street clothes and I may just be reaching here. Anyways, this jumbled series of shout out builds will also be posted here, hopefully. And I plan on basing them off of first appearances or an early case. I have no clue how some will fit into that criteria. I don't know the order but this whole topic is kind of a reach to try and stick two MOCs and maybe more into a collected bunch without needing to make separate topics for each. TL;DR - Nexus is very lazy, makes dumb topic title to jumble MOCs together. Please enjoy. Shoutout - [stubbs] by Nexus-, on Flickr Aquaman is first, I really like the simplicity of this build and some more complex bits to it that I haven't tried before. I always love pushing myself with stuff like this and Aquaman was a perfect start. The water was a fun aspect, along with as you may see, me using what little amount of reddish brown plates I could to replicate a dock. DCSG Cyborg - 0 - Application by Nexus-, on Flickr Cyborg's was immensely interesting to make, my builds heavily feature a lot of grey. (This will hopefully change as I have ~70 sand blue bricks coming to town.) But I just really admire it as the colors present just pop. As someone who isn't really the best builder out there by any means, it's always fun to admire the little things I can accomplish and grow upon. I like finding what works for my builds and what doesn't, I actually hated this build to begin with but then it went right to getting blogged along with other pieces from my stream which really made me realize that A. The site was just looking for content, or B. I was doing something right. I take B, but only with a grain of salt. Anyways, these are the first of hopefully more than four "Secret Origins" builds. Cyborg's build comes with a story along with a series that has been accepted. So giving that a read would be fantastic. Along with this, Eurobricks users are usually much more vocal with criticisms and I'm all ears for it as I want to learn how to make these builds just even more appealing to the eyes than they are (if they even are) already. I want to keep progressing and learning, because I know I'm only scratching the surface. Thanks for (hopefully) reading!

That would be a surprise... And a wonder for my Avengers series I'm writing if the lineup is seriously Ms. Marvel, Cap, Nighthawk, and Zemo! (Only Cap and Ms. Marvel are confirmed... Just so nobody takes this wrong) Anyways, definitely buying the Detroit Steel and Cap jet sets (or figures) anyways!- 5,808 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
adotnamedstud replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't understand why people complain about The LEGO Batman Movie variants being out there when it's coming from the same people who want variety. And this is for a kids movie, interpretations that they likely own would look bland in a movie that by the looks seems to balance the darker nature of Batman and mix it with vibrant color. I for one really enjoy how insane these are! This really exemplifies LEGO at it's best which is something to be proud of. I can't wait to see all 13 sets because this theme could be something really special. On a side note, I talked earlier about how good of a year 2006 was for LEGO sets just because it was really when themes like Star Wars and Batman stood out in my opinion. Really hope 2017 is a year with huge standouts. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

That's debatable. In all honesty, I would wait for some more confirmation than from a lot of scoop finders. It's usually set lists that test the credibility the most. -

[MOC] Captain America: Civil War HYDRA Bunker

Both of these faces came from Poe Dameron's X-Wing fighter. Bucky uses Poe's head and Cap uses the generic pilot's head. Hope that helped! -
[MOC] Captain America: Civil War HYDRA Bunker
adotnamedstud replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks! Unfortunately, my MOCs don't become decorative as I always need most of the pieces I'd used for more. I hope that will change in the future as displaying these is a fantastic idea! (I'll also make sure to get to work on some new ones. ) Hehe, I knew I'd get comments like this! Thank you much! Thank you! I appreciate that! Thanks, and nope, you're right! He wears the helmet, I'm just not certain I wanted a smiling Cap in a pretty tension-filled scene! -
Civil War - Hydra Bunker by Nexus-, on Flickr This was a pretty quick build conducted by me today. it's an 8x8 vignette of a scene from Captain America: Civil War. Though it's not my favorite scene, I'm still really happy I made this. Chit-chat aside. I think making Civil War vignettes and Uncharted vignettes will consume a good amount of my summer when I am not away from LEGO, so I may take suggestions for another scene. I'm already planning on doing the final encounter between Zemo and Black Panther, hopefully I deliver. Anyways, C&C is always more than welcome. Thanks for reading!

SDCC Superheroes Exclusive Minifigures Guessing Game 2016
adotnamedstud replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
Going to actually try. DC - far fetched but I think a TV show figure would work. I think maybe the Atom or White Canary seeing as those characters, especially the Atom has been present in every CW show, figure he might reuse the Superman head as Routh obviously played Superman before. Or White Canary as LEGO really needs to represent the opposite gender in these exclusives more. Marvel - I would die if they released that "Hail Hydra" Cap as it's really the ideal Captain America suit in my opinion, and has a fantastic retro shield to accompany it. If not for the compelling design, it might br all the controversy around it that adds appeal to the fig. My second guess for Marvel would be a battle damaged Avenger from AoU, as odd as a choice it is, a ripped up War Machine suit would be pretty great. Or Stark, they could reuse the Silver Centurion head. Or perhaps Peggy Carter as it's really the pinnacle of her popularity and it's foolish to not try at the least. (Not sure how many guesses we get but whatever.) I really hope that eventually LEGO makes more female heroes even if they're SDCC figs. We've been lacking a fantastic line up of heroes other than the often oddly rehased Black Widow. Scarlet Witch, Agent 13, and White Tiger were a breath of fresh air! -

Considering that there's a chance to be wrong, not likely. People do so much to be popular for "scoops". Anyways, my guess; DC: A minifigure Marvel: A minifigure (Hope I'm correct!) -
Thank you! I may be attempting a build inspired by some Madagascar sequences with the towers.
