  1. The original discoverer of the minifigures, whose name is "p2good" in Pockyland forum, already said that he mistakenly reversed the "dress" slope part. It is still unclear if there is any print on the slope though... Actually, zhancobricks, do you know if the "dress" slope part has any print on it?
  2. Hi, all. As reported by a LEGO fan in a Taiwan LEGO fans forum, Pockyland, there are two minifigs which are "unseen" before leaked from certain factory from Mainland China. They are the Statue of Liberty and an Alien. It is suspected that they might be among the Series 6, but no solid proof is available so far. Honestly, as observed from the photos, it seems to me that the quality of the molding and the printing as shown on those unseen minifigs are quite up to the LEGO official product standard. If they are custom made minifigs, the skills of the creator must be very superior. Has anyone seen them before? Does anyone know where they come from? What do you think? 3. Bright22, support your rebuilding project. Do show all LEGO Town fans "something"!
  4. Following the style of the previous Winter Village series sets, I guess we won't get a mail van, but probably just a bicycle, or a motorcycle (the good old 6622 type thing?), or a horse cart...? And there should be a small scene in addition to the building. What type of interesting winter scene can be made outside a post office? Villagers lining up to mail/receive their Christmas gifts??? Looking forward to 10222!
  5. First of all, I am not too sure if this troll should be put in Sci-Fi forum... Please excuse me and help move to the correct forum if I am wrong. ********** I have seen some other LEGO fans modifying the offical giant troll to other more mechanized ones, which I think is a brilliant and interesting idea. Recently, my friend helped me to grab one giant troll at a cheap price, and before just storing it, I just felt like I should do something on it. So, this Mechano-Troll is the product, on which I have engineered the troll to add various weapon and armour pieces. Hope you find it funny. I am also very happy to listen to your comments, good or bad. Thanks for watching.
  6. We have a member posting a review on 10218 here: 10218 Review Though the description is in Chinese, but you could know most of the essence from the photos.
  7. The extensive uses of the new parts, and the not-too-complex building style which has quite some room for improvement and better use of color (particularly for the bulk cargo loading tower thing with conveyor belt...) would force me to place a bet on its being an official set! The new City port set 4645 got a conveyor belt , and it seems that the bulk cargo loading tower thing is also using it. Another good match for this train being a new official set. And as an official set, actually it is relatively of good design already!
  8. Ok, I bought one home (together with Jock) already from a LEGO fan, and examine it a bit. For the torso, as expected, it has the characteristics of magnet minifigure as shown below. So I am not sure if this beautiful torso has already joined the "standard" parts pool. The leg part also has characteristics of magnet minifig, as reflected in the orientation of the LEGO logo as shown in the photo below! The quality of the printing on the leg, especially the silver printing on the belt, makes me believe it is official LEGO production but not custom-made or clone brand. I asked the seller where the leg part comes from. He has not explained, but said that he originally got the girl minifig in the form just like as it looks now, without switching any parts. I don't believe so though... So, the only clearer thing is, the part seems to come from magnet series, but I still do not know which set/ gear brings along it... One speculation I could have is it comes from "unknown/ future" collectible minifigure series, as the parts for them bear the same characteristics as magnet minifig. For this, I scanned through all 5 known series, but remain unable to catch any minifig using this leg... Anyone knows where the leg part comes from, please let me know. Thanks.
  9. Thanks WhiteFang for merging my post with an existing post. Also thanks for recalling my memory for the female minifig collection! For the legs, I still can't figure out where it comes from... But anyway, I probably will get one home tomorrow and check it out further...
  10. Anybody knows where the torso and the legs of this minifig come from? Set? Accessories? Pick-a-Brick? Thanks in advance.
  11. I second the possibility to have new version of ambulance and hospital coming, based on this recent observation by another LEGO fan in Hong Kong. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=93140 This was recently found to be added to Bricklink catagolue in January 2011, but so far no official set has been reported to include it...
  12. I don't know if anyone has brought out already. From the Nurnberg Toy Fair, this video has been taken and (starting from 1:10) you can see the actual figure of Series 4 (as well as Series 5)
  13. Thanks for everyone's appreciation. During my journey to build the 4 small farm buildings, I tried to use different parts and structures, functionalities and decorations so that they can be taken as an individual MOC which can stand out independently, but at the same time can show harmony when gathered together with some simple background settings. I myself remain undecided as to which one is my own favorite.... Nowadays, many people promote giant MOC with complex setup. In view of the above trend, I have been doubting if small houses and simple setup could still make up something not too bad from MOC perspective... Now at least I know there are still some LEGO town fans fond of small houses and simple setup. This is sufficiently meaningful to me already.
  14. Thanks. Thanks for your praise. However, to clarify, I just built all the things in the farm within that 160x64 area which is situated in a much larger city area with other AFOL showing their excellent MOCs. The TNT truck is made by another superior AFOL.
  15. Hi, all. I had the honour to join the local AFOL LEGO show in Hong Kong, Bricks Adventure 2011, this year again. To participate, I have built this Fantasy Farm to join the city area of the show. As named, this farm is just out of my own fantasy and not really up to the reality level of the farms we see in daily life. This is because, due to my various limitations including skills, time and brick resources, I can only manage to build small unrealistic buildings. The only way I can think of to make a small contribution to the show is by merging my small creations to make up this Fantasy Farm. The farm covers an area of 160x64 studs (equal to 10 32x32 baseplates) and consists of my 4 MOC farm buildings, namely the Windmill, the Cow Shed, the Greenhouse and the Farm House with Pig Shed. These 4 MOCs are of the old-school style with the back side open, but incorporated with some uses of modern parts and building techniques. The Farm House with Pig Shed is actually a substantial rebuild of my previous MOC, the Pig Farm. Also, to enrich the overall view, I have also added the small open crop field as well as other facilities. Special thanks to andybear@hk and PrinceWilliam, who are the key men for the city area of this show. They have allowed great freedom and flexibility for us to join the city area show. andybear@hk also provided me with tremendous support on parts to enable me to finish the overall view of the farm. I will show photos of the overall view of my Fantasy Farm first, supplemented by a few for each of my 4 farm building MOCs. [Warning: Pictures heavy, though photos have been resized already] As usual, your comments and critics are highly appreciated. Thanks for watching. Video of the overview of the farm Photos of the overall view of the Fantasy Farm The Windmill The Cow Shed The Greenhouse The Farm House with Pig Shed Thank for very much for watching this long post. 16. Thanks for the good and detailed review! 3661 is the most surprise to me for the latest batch of City sets, mostly because of its inclusion of the long-awaited bank as well as a security armour car. 3661 is overall speaking good, but of course a bit reliant on stickers...
  17. The recent well-known blow-out of 2011 second half retail catalogue in Flickr, on top of other very interesting news in other themes, has shown that there will be a hillside house (5771) and lighthouse island (5770). Though they are both under the Creator theme, it seems at least 5771 hillside house would have a minifigure and a small car, being of City theme scale. The picture for 5770 lighthouse is not clear enough to tell surely what it is up to, but it is smaller than 5771. Picture here: New Creator Buildings
  18. I have the same doubt. Actually, if you look at the second photo, there is a blue plastic box which looks like those used in Educational series, and it has a set number of "968x"! So, any implication regarding any new NASA sets?
  19. You know why? Because there is no stairs or access to the helipad for policemen to get up and down and the helipad is abandoned already!!! Oh, actually, it is the way TLC intends to sell the still piling-up stock of 7741...

    MOC: Pig Farm

Thanks all for the support. I built this in a way pretty much similar to the old days of LEGOLAND, and so it is inclined to be simple. For the pig transporter, it is rather unusual because of the use of the tricycle part, but it allows me to build it in a much lighter way. I myself also enjoys this small vehicle. Sorry for the size of the photos, but I find I cannot use the command ,etc. in this forum...

    MOC: Pig Farm

To join a MOCers party held by TLC in Hong Kong, I made this to share with friends. This small pig farm consists of a wooden shed for the pigs to live, and a farm workshop. As a pig shed, naturally it should be simple, but to make not too dull, I built the top roof of the shed using a less traditional way while keeping a "wooden" feel. For the farm workshop, the ground floor is supposed to be the working and storage space with simple equipments, while the upper floor is the resting room for farmers. Between the shed and the workshop, there is a wooden door to allow passage. Also, a wooden staircase is built for farmers to climb up to the upper floor. To enhance the flavour of being a farm, I have added the "PIG" logo by adding up simple building blocks, and also the "rooster anemoscope". In addition, to enrich the content of the pig farm, I have built the mini pig transporter. The special thing of this small vehicle is the using of a rear chassis of a normal LEGO tricycle to build the front part of the vehicle. It also has the liftable platform at the rear part to allow pigs to go up and down. More photos at my Brickshelf: Pig farm -Pig farm Mini pig transporter - Mini pig transporter So this is a small farm without too much details, but I still hope you enjoy it. Also, I shall be grateful if you would share with me your comments, positive and negative. Thanks.
  22. In view of TLC now liking to path storyline for its new theme, based on the preliminary pictures, I guess that the story, or the "Quest", is about adverturers collecting the full "golden Pharoah equipment". My further guess is the second or last wave of this line is for the adventurers to finally encounter or summon the ultimate boss "golden Pharoah" after collecting all its equipment! Let's speculate!
  23. Thanks for the information, Klaus-Dieter! When you say "mummy with pan", do you mean the ancient Egyptian mummy with a pan (What is pan then?)? Or a mommy with a frying pan? Sorry I don't get your true meaning...
  24. For your information, this birthday party kit was sold at an official LEGO exhibition and sale event in Hong Kong. This kit is very interesting, containing: - 10 invitation cards - 10 thank-you cards - 1 pop-up card platform - 10 gift packs, each with 1 special minifig unseen before, 1 piece of "building tips & tricks" and 1 piece of "official LEGO builder licence card"... - 1 birthday magnetic tile brick - 10 name stickers The price was HK$380 (before discount), which is about slightly less than US$48. A LEGO fan, 1029, has done a review at minifigs.net in Hong Kong (Review of Birthday Kit) More photos can be found at the author's BS: Birthday Kit BS Photos Enjoy!
