As someone raised in Brickset, the upper left corner show one of the new possible policemen? If true, this basically echoes the information of the new police line shared above.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned here, on the web (source deliberately not mentioned as it seems more strictly prohibitied this time), you could trace to find a very small picture which shows a box set 70002, which seems to contain a larger vehicle than those in 70113, with (at least) 2 minifigures. By the way, as a Chinese, I cannot find "Chima" close to any meaningful term in Chinese pronounciation.

The vehicles seem built by a few parts and pretty <insert that tiresome argument> ,but the set package indicates having 442 parts , which is quite contradictory … Or do I get anything wrong from the pictures ?

WW2 and general warry-ness avoidance on the part of LEGO corp.

For your information, in 2011, TLG did formally set up its brand guidelines for weapons and violence , as seen from its Progress Report 2011 which can be found from its website. Below is the extract. -
A fellow in our local forum reported that magnet set 853431 for DC Batman characters has appeared already, available at eBay.

Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular
Alywin replied to forumreader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Monster Fighter Series surely fits a haunted house idea, but I doubt if TLC dares to release an Exclusive set for Monster Fighter series. It seems to me pretty risky for a short-life and non-licenced series to have an Exclusive set in terms of sales... -

I guess it is not a modular house, but it is a haunted house with 2 ghosts flying around (as you can see) ... I do not have any idea which theme or series could have this new unknown Exclusive set though...

Reported to be from the German Toy Fair, originally from Kocke klub 2012 City Mining theme sets. Not close enough and not too impressive though... The designs seem really not good, ruining the good new idea for City theme... Hope we will get better photos disclosed soon

Thanks for the pictures! Overall speaking, the Town Hall is good, enough to attract buyers including myself (if the price is not raised much). However, it seems there is not much surprise as to introduction of new/creative building technique or use of parts. My feeling so far is the WOW factor (In LEGO official terms) is not high. Seeing the trend starting from 10218, it seems it is getting more and more difficult to have innovative ideas on 32x32 modular buildings. Hope when pictures of the interior design are disclosed, there are more surprises. Say, surely we got a bride and a bridegroom, so will we get a grand hall with beautiful decorations for their marriage registration, as part of the interior of the Town Hall?

Sorry to share some discouraging experience of my friend. My friend did successfully bleached bricks with serious yellowing using hydrogen perioxide a year ago, but very sadly, the yellowing would reappear after months later, and the yellowing got even poorer before bleaching. So be cautious.

Sorry to be blunt, but all the mining sets are pretty crappy to me... The only one which might be worth a bit expecting is the Gold Mine, which is still far from good as per the preliminary image. Regrettably it is really a waste of the new subtheme concept... The hospital? Don't call it the hospital. It is just 16-stud wide... Call it an emergency station is more reasonable. While it is probably better than the strangest ever last version "hospital" (released in 2007?), it is still far from satisfactory...

legomilk, I went to your friend's website but failed to find anything about 2012 sets. So, any new 2012 sets seen?

For those minifigs which will have newer version to be released in 2012, I would guess the price will not go up, if not dropping, because normal people would just buy the more easily available and cheaper versions in order to grab one. For those older versions, initially price might not drop, but sales volume must dry up, which could eventually lead to price reduction. I know there are serious collectors, but the mass "normal" players who care price more drive the market more. Honestly, how many out of all the players are so eager to buy back every version to form a team of "batmen or spidermen" at ridiculously high price after all? The other thing is, even if the price of older versions remain high, it is still not meaningful if very few people buy them any more. Zero transaction with a sky-high price is nothing...

If you look into HERE carefully, you could find some reasonably big and clear box/bag/pack pictures for 2012 sets for City, Dino, Ninjago and Technic. Credit to whung for pointing this out at our local forum.

Polybag sets have been existing for many years, since 90s if not 80s. Especially for the older ones, their availabilities were also limited at the original release time and so quite some might be easily overlooked. So it would be difficult to just make an exhaustive list, not to mention actually get a real copy for every polybag sets.

I have to say that the Friends sets are surprisingly good in my view. The houses and shops' designs are even better than the original City themes, and they seem to have pretty much the same "system" scale as City theme that most if not all of the designs and parts can be blended with City sets.
-
At least, TLC has tried to add some new elements and so throw in some less "daily life" designs to the old Police, Fire and Construction themes. For the mining sets, I guess some parts from Power Miners could probably be reused, in less sci-fi colour. Or maybe the storyline is, Power Miners team members got scared away by the crystal monsters / have just been laid off, and they have to go back to normal mining companies to find a job...

A bear out from its hideout to eat honey, with some kind of forest police station around to guard against... It would be a funny but unusual scene...

As a LEGO Town theme fan, I would say actually World City is the turning point saving the Town theme, starting to put the Town them on track from the stupid Town Junior. In my humble opinion, while World City might not be the best seller during its life in 2005 to 2006, World City pathed many new styles and ideas which are clearly differentiated from Classic Town and Town Junior and form the foundation for the current City and the revivial of Town theme. I personally appreciate World City sets quite a lot.

Maybe my memory just faded. The snake tail part could be the one shown on the Lowlug forum, and I got the impression they were "medusa" because of seeing many tails. But, yes, the leaked picture I was talking about was from taobao, the Chinese equivalent of eBay. Sorry for the confusion.
-
As far as I recall from the leaked photo, the tail part actually is "multi-tail", more like medusa style... As far as I recall from the leaked photo, the tail part actually is "multi-tail", more like medusa style...
