Rough price information in USD is added. Do bear in mind these might not be the actual retail prices.

Okay, now it seems things have been settled and the previously removed images are restored. Firstly, the initial source of 10196 is from Clickbrick Book 2009 in Japan. Clickbrick Book is the annual book distributed by the Japanese LEGO chain store ClickBrick to customers for free. The 2009 version has started being distributed since 1 May 2009, and that's why LEGO fans in Hong Kong knew the news about 10196 and other sets mentioned in this thread. Below is the look of the Clickbrick Book: 10196 - Merry-go-round : with motor and sound parts, so I suppose it can rotate and play music! To be released in July 2009! JPY 37,990 / USD 380 The two coming Advent Calendars, this time City (7687 - JPY 3,790 / USD 38) and Pirate (6299 - JPY 4,790 / USD 48), to be released in October 2009! 10198 (JPY 24,990 / USD 250) and 10199 (JPY 9,990 / USD 100), no set box pictures yet, but confirmed to be "SW Tantive IV Blockade Runners" and Creator Christmas Set

Very informative and helpful review. Thanks. The set is better than average, but too reliant on stickers... (although every set is like that nowadays). Putting the stickers on nicely is difficult to people bad at handcraft things like me... Where have all the good old printed bricks gone....? I am a bit puzzled at why not all the seats are put at the same side of the bus compartment to allow a better corridor within it, though the official design doesn't really ruin too much at all.

Thanks for the review. I would say it is still a bit too sticker-reliant to bring the "holiday" feel. The inner structure, as known before, is oversimplified (even when compared to the old Town ones) to be a camper. However, I probably would still grab one...
-
As far as I know, this figure has been available for quite a long time and sold on eBay and Bricklink on and on, and yes, it originates from LEGOLAND park. I agree that if its structure was the same as normal minifig, it would be much funnier. The worst thing is the "Macrofig" is not of the same type of plastic as normal minifig.

I captured the following from the video: If this is not a joke, you could see the side of the secret thing which is close to 10185 is vertically flat, and its height is similar to 10190, 10182 and 10185. I would guess it is another modular building which could merge with its predecessors.

If you could revive any one dead theme...

This is brilliant! My trolleys now finally got some alternative use...

With all these clearer pictures: For the camper, I agree it is disappointing. I would rather have it longer to allow more room for for realistic details. Also, the van relies heavily on sticker to paint its leisure appearance. Although being known for a time, putting the bike upstraight on the roof looks stupid and unrealistic... For the garage and the tow truck, my impression on them improves as they both contain more details than thought before. For the sport car, as expected earlier, nothing great or surprising. The price which is on the high side is one thing, but at least you got a new hair and the phone parts! For the helicopter transport, it still looks unattractive... Maybe I am always not a fan of helicopters... The city corner still looks unresistable to me. The advent calendar looks at least better than 2008...

Thanks for the review, which is very great! If you decide to take this farm, probably you could forget about 7634. The other thing is, I really wish TLG had thrown in this: Can you imagine the farmers doing some real farming without this???

Oh, I posted my MOC truck before: Truck for Horse Transport But I didn't realise this thread. Maybe I share a few photos previously posted. This truck is modernized and heavily modified from the truck from 7622. The cockpit has been totally revamped as well as the front engine part. The truck is made to adapt to interchangeable engines from 10200. Doors at two sides and elevation platform at rear part are added for additional fun. The truck body has been modified to allow carriage of a horse comfortably, with elevation platform able to lower to allow the horse to walk into or out of the truck.

Withdrawn and never mind.

Oh, those classic space wing plates are actually "non-system"... Yeah, I did remember that they cannot put on larger plates, but that makes them become extinct... What a pity...
-
Very insightful review. Very good to those yet to buy! Thanks a lot!

Thanks. The 10200 interchangeable engines concept is rather a good idea for City series vehicles. I am actually not a collector of IJ theme. I got this truck and the jeep still in mint state out of a MISB 7622 set (but without all minifigs, horse and other accessories) at a rather cheap price locally, and so build them up, and later revamp them to integrate with my other City collections. So if I could grab the Shanghai Chase cars at dirt cheap price again, I might do similar tricks! That seems unlikely in short future though.
-
Thanks all! I haven't had that particular thought in mind so far. Of course 5-wide cars involve more building techniques, and so I might do one later.

Hi, All. This is my first time to post my tiny creation at Eurobricks. Any critics and comments are highly welcomed. So, hope you enjoy! More photos of this truck are at my Brickshelf: Alywin's Horse Truck Thanks for watching!

This set seem pretty good, as I guess before. I was thinking to get one from eBay but just held the plan up as a new dumper is coming in 2009. Thanks for the review!

World City series police vehicles are particularly creepy. Other citizen minifigs are afraid of them...
-
In my opinion, this car is one of the best launched for City/Town series in the history. I love my one very much.

Nice small tractor!

Count me in !!!

Thanks for the review of such a new item! This car is definitely a good and funny one , but really too pricey at the same time...

Nice to see you here Benny and good that you post your MOC here Seems not many Hong Kong fans in this forum? I think WhiteFang sometimes also visits minifigs.net forum of Hong Kong?
