    Not saying that the sets weren't good just saying that if kids pitch is their aim I think they missed the boat on this wave, it seems to be very collector driven, yes the boat has a playability that the others don't I built these with my 6 year old and can tell you that the other 3 held no interest for him, however a Gondorian bp or something from the last battle of middle earth may have been nice.

    Can't sat that TLG has covered themselves in glory with the sets they chose to make, the first series was fine, the second wave of LOTR as well designed as they were hardly made sense in a marketable pitch, kids would've probably embraced the coflict at Minas Tirith more than a pirate ambush and the council of Elrond made little sense except to get Arwen and Elrond in mainstream release. Doing something from Gondor, nazgul and the battle at Pelanor fields and perhaps Lothlorien may have been easier to sell rather than 2 more FOTR sets that aren't all that significant from a child's perspective.

    I'd like to see Revan and Malak appear at some point, these 2 characters allowed the EU to flourish when it had stagnated a little. Would be nice to get some smugglers or Hutts into the collections.

    First week in december for Australia, Myer (retail store) here had them first, checked my receipts, I got a couple sets on the first day.

    I think it will go down the SW battle pack route and we may get some custom battle packs such as orcs or elves, I think most likely this will occur in the midyear 2014 wave be it LOTR or the Hobbit.

    Built this today, apart from some smooth panels on the wings where the hinges meet its a preety solid set, like the minifigs, shame the helmet never made it in to the HH-87 set, solid little starfighter.

    I'll get them all, however depending on the quality of the sets will be whether I rush out on day 1 to get all of them or sit and bide my time.

    I would like to see secondary characters released next year in the summer wave. It would be nice to get some band members I would also like to see dex from AOTC, shame to waste Krell's mould on one character.

    a lot of speculation about things we have very little info on apart from a proposed list of sets that could be described as circumspect at best....

    They were place holders, i think the graphics had better looking DS Troopers.

    you mayy be one of the few, i think its an under whelming lineup when you consider the current release.

    I think there has to be some balance and your points are quite valid, if its in the common domain then it becomes rather hard to say stop, if its been actively promoted then that is another matter entirely which I think the rules EB have for that are rather fair.

    Wasn't really talking about the clones that gunned her down rather that this seemed to be the scene which you get a better look at the AT-AP.

    I quite like it, thanks for the review, to me its an E-Wing in disguise. I like the EU sets too, hopefully they sell well and TLG keep making EU sets.

    Who knows, if enough people here mention how much better the wheel bike set would be with Boga and TLG have people who check this thread then perhaps we could get a change, I think this set is light on w.r.t decent EP 3 vehicles, the Selucami set missed the mark by some ways in my book. Some wookie crafts would've been nice, all we've got so far is the Trade federation crafts, can't remeber the AT-AP being there, thought they were at Felucia gunning down Aayla Secura.

    I'm one of the few who liked the planet sets, unfortunately they were never going to tke off, the Chibi sets that have been previewed for 2014 look a lot better, $16 for what little you got in a planet set was always going to be a bit of an ask, shame they didn't do some of the CW planets they may have struck more of a chord with kids...

    Not a fan of the new stud gun, I'm sure it was a new way to get even more flick missle action into the line, it seems all sets these days need a minimum number of flick missle options and this wasa way to meet quota, the kids will probably love it and then we'll be stuck with it going forward, after closer inspection this wave seems a little lite in content, the new Grevious looks ok from preliminaries but the wheel bike is not so cool... Hopefully its not an expensive (AUD relative) wave cannot imagine it being so.

    Ttle packs for KashyyyK looks pretty good assortment of scout and clone troopers, I can imagine that set selling quite well, would be interested to see what exclusives we get?
