Our store were moving toys towards the front of the store, which they usually do before a big sale. The items they had there weren't discounted much, but maybe they will have a decent sale soon (not that they had much on offer)

There really isn't much to the set. Had I not scored it cheaper from B&N then I probably wouldn't get it. Still I am a completist, we got all the Toy Story sets, so why should these be any different :p Thanks for a great review!

The coupon works, I used it last night. I was told it can be used til the end of June, though I am not certain on that. You'd assume they would bring back the POTC sets before then, but this is B&N we are talking about. If they do, then I will be purchasing my first POTC sets from there

I wish, then it would be around $80 off. 30% off the $251.95 cost is about $75.59. It still is cheap, but the different amount makes me think there must be some limit where it cuts off, or whether that is the maximum amount to be discounted

Anyone placed an expensive order with B&N before using a 30% off coupon? Just doing some testing, put in the Mindstorms set, and dropped the price from $251.95 to $195.96, a saving of $55.99. This in itself is nothing to sneeze at, as it is still $55.99 off, and $195.96 US before shipping is a heap better than what we get here. Still, it isn't the 30% off, so is there a limit as to how far the discount extends to that anyone is aware of?

Yeah, well I ordered the Flo's V8 Cafe to put aside for my son, cannot complain when it is 50% off the Aussie RRP which is when I look to buy most sets these days. I added a couple of Star wars sets to the order to round it out, but if I want something else, then my wife can just create an account. Thanks again! EDIT: Items shipped 12 hours after ordering, cannot complain at that. Just fingers crossed that the box comes in decent shape. I swore I wouldn't use them again, but simply was too tempting

Yeah, I thought about it, but I'm not that into the set. Might try get them later on if they are heavilly discounted, but they are just so expensive

On the shelf at our store it still has a $39.99 price tag, despite scanning for $47.20 with the 20% off

On their facebook there is an addition where it says lego was added to their Catchathon, so I must have clicked on that. I haven't once seen a Lego box with ordinary sticky tape holding the sides together. If the set is heavilly discounted due to the damage, it may be worth a risk, but I would be highly suspicious that someone has raided it for parts already. I have heard of people in the past getting damaged boxes that has been opened, but also people getting them very cheaply and being able to complete the set anyway. Depends if you want to take the risk I guess

Wish that were the case with mine. Was only in a paper type bag, no support whatsoever and the box was crushed. I was 50/50 on whether or not I was keeping the set for myself or not, but it got taken out of my hands. I never got a response on my complaint email, so won't bother with them again regardless of pricing.
