  1. I would think so, as it's from the article about the London Toy Fair.
  2. Well at least there's a picture of an arctic minifigure. Kinda.
  3. No Emmet in the PC version? Seriously?
  4. One of the old LEGO Alpha Team online comics/games involved Ogel controlling the weather. I doubt there'd be a direct connection, but it'd be interesting to see a similar concept used again.
  5. Not sure if this has been mentioned before or not, but I got Bad Cop Pursuit and in the instructions was a QR code that led to this: http://lego.com/go/m/39 What's this "The LEGO Movie Experience" thing?
  6. Alpha Team is what got me into LEGO, so yeah. Would love to see a reboot of the theme with modern set design.
  7. He's always been a superhero.
  8. Regarding the LEGO Universe models in here - LU and LDD were tied together quite closely, so many (if not most) of the models in the game have official, 100% accurate LXF models already. There used to be places to download them, not sure where the best place would be now, though.
  9. The Orient Expedition faces as a whole looked a bit odd to me, the eyes especially. Personal taste I suppose, but I definitely prefer this new version.
  10. The new Johnny Thunder minifigure is so pretty... Accurate to the original, but updated and cleaned up a bit. Aw yes.
  11. Higher res version: http://movies.inquirer.net/files/2013/11/LEGO_1SHT_MAIN_ONLINE_INTL.jpg Yep!
  12. This one's a bit blurrier, can't tell what the black and green minifigures are: http://i.imgur.com/7b49MFE.jpg Edit: Whoa, that first pic is bigger than I thought, uploading a more cropped version in a moment... Ok, it's been replaced with a more close-up close-up, but you'll probably have to clear your cache to see it.
  13. *ahem* In case people missed it on the previous page: http://i.imgur.com/7b49MFE.jpg I see Batman(?), Emmet, and Johnny Thunder(?) in the police dropship... But who's the green guy?
  14. Posting here because it seems relevant.
  15. http://www.thebrickfan.com/the-lego-movie-summer-2014-sets-revealed/ So... Is that Johnny Thunder in the police dropship?
  16. LEGO, I love you! That's fantastic!
  17. Seeing as the collectible minifigures have always featured exclusive printing, I'd say it's safe to assume that if Captain Pete ends up being in the series he won't appear exactly as he does now. As mentioned earlier, the game is still in beta and the character designs/names don't seem to be final yet - Pete's in-game appearance is different from his appearance on the website, Captain Blackheart was renamed to Captain Dreadleg, etc (the website is actually a bit inconsistent there, calling him Blackheart in some places and Dreadleg in others). I did, the "14" is in quotation marks. What else do you suggest we call it until we know for sure?
  18. I'm not sure how much I can say due to the closed beta NDA, but there playable minifigures used as NPCs and vice versa. You can see a few in the game trailer, so I assume it's ok to say that. So I wouldn't rule it out completely, as they're already blurring the line.
  19. Seeing as Unikitty is also there (as Biznis Kitty or whatever), and the plot of the movie involves President Business draining Master Builders (like Batman and Unikitty) of their creativity... Yeah.
  20. Aww, cute. Very nice scene. The light is a nice touch.
  21. This just keeps getting better and better. Looking forward to the rest of the cave.
  22. Oh wow, this is great! Can't wait to see the final layout, it's already looking really nice. It depends on what region you're in, but he was named Flatfoot Thompson/Thomsen in the US and Prairie Pete in the UK, possibly some other names elsewhere. The actual printed wanted poster piece refers to him as Flatfoot Thomsen, and as far as I know that wasn't altered between different countries: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=3069bpx37
  23. I'm not a Minecraft nut, but this is actually looking pretty interesting so far, more than I expected from the initial announcement. Still not sure if I'll be getting any of the sets for myself, but they'll be great birthday gifts for some certain younger family members who are obsessed with Minecraft. Have we gotten any more information on when in 2014 these will be released?
  24. Stopped by Target today and noticed this: http://www.brickshel...orage_brick.jpg As far as I could tell it was a completely standard black LEGO storage brick, with The LEGO Movie logo slapped on to the packaging because marketing.
  25. I noticed that too, but seeing as the image of him here on the website doesn't match his in-game appearance (I'd show a screenshot for comparison but I don't want to be kicked out of the beta), I'm guessing they simply haven't finalized his actual design yet. Again, I'm not sure just how much I can safely say about the closed beta, but the main reason for me thinking this guy is the "hero" for the pirates world (besides his central role in the world's story and literal central role on the website image) is that there's literally no other options that would even slightly make sense; as you can see in the and screenshots on the website, the rest of the world and its characters are 2009 pirates minifigures and variations on series 11 islanders. The only other option would be for LEGO to create a second "hero" character we haven't seen yet, and use him/her in the new series - but considering the series will have 16 slots to fill, and Captain Pete is being featured quite a bit so far, I can't imagine they won't include him. Then again... We were all so certain that Benny the spaceman would obviously be in The LEGO Movie series... So take this with a grain of salt I suppose; it seems to be a very obvious choice from everything we know so far, but LEGO's surprised us before. Regardless, Captain Pete or no, we do know for sure that the series will contain at least one minifigure each from pirates, castle, space, and mythology. Count on that. Edit - OP updated with a link to the video where some Funcom developers talk about this new minifigures series.
