Errr...that's not Agent Stone's car. That's the Jordan's car. It's a very popular model of car, you know. Welcome to the foyer.

If you look back historically, staff have always participated more, and there is a reason for this: they're almost always on the board. They have to regulate and patrol the boards, thus causing them to be able to participate in games. The people that you listed, ADHO, Cralegoboy, if they didn't make it in (keep in mind, there were more players) could have become reserves, and could have replaced those that were not participating as much. By the way, why did you color-code ADHO pink? The time limit was removed; and although it might not be apparent, most of the Red Scare Mystery Chapter's did follow a time frame. Since people still aren't understanding, I showcased some of the most extreme actions. You understand these actions; you push a couch up to your door every night to protect yourself from harm, and that is one of the main reasons (I can't list the other) that you didn't die. I do believe that I've given plenty of leads. I can't please everyone. If I give blatantly obvious leads, I'll be chastised by the person that I'm exposing. If I don't give enough leads, I'm being told that there are no leads. I can't solve this case for you. I know the answer to the mystery. I admitted to beating up Marcus at the end of Chapter Two, I didn't say I had him attacked last night. Reflecting back, I can see that it's partially my fault that you spent three chapters there because of the 96 hour day, but had there been more participation you could have achieved much more much faster. I had referenced the administrators specifically because my topics rarely get locked. The Chapter Five thread is still open, as is the sign-up thread. This is another thing I didn't really mention. A few people are hyper-focused on investigating that most of the time they forget to roleplay. There's a lot of you that do roleplay, and I'd rather not call people out specifically that don't, but talk to each other, share what clues, share what you think happened, share your opinions, talk about something. You're all giving me good feedback, which I like. I'm sorry if I am acting bitchy or annoying. By responding to your feedback, I am not inciting an argument, I'm feedbacking your feedback.

It's a piece of construction material, nothing seemingly malicious. "Welcome to our formerly happy home!" Jack says. You are on the first floor. Please select a room you would like to visit first. You may go to one room at a time, and may not go upstairs until you are finished on this floor. Diagram is not to scale.

The fact that you've taken the time to respond the each of my points in the argument shows that you do indeed care, and that makes me happy. There are clues in each and every location. You specifically referenced the CCTV Footage from outside the firehouse. I can't outright show an entire person, and condemn them to losing the game. That would be irresponsible on my part completely. In this game, I'm not supposed to give you the culprit, I'm supposed to cleverly lay out clues for you to find said criminal. There are certain locations that you simply did not need to go to, however at the same time there are locations that you should have gone to. Since the game is going on, the only thing I'll say is that the police station was your best stop, however did it really need to be drawn out over the course of three chapters? I really should have, but most of my PM's to him aren't really responded to and I wasn't in a good state of mind when I was posting this. I specifically did want Counts and new players in this game; my last game was made up of them. However, at the same time, I would have liked for other more experienced players to be mixed in with them. There were initially 16 players, as stated, so with a healthy mix this game could have been interesting. This isn't real life though. Truth be told, these actions are supposed to make this game at least somewhat interesting at night. The whole Fugazi Fire Scene was, at the most part, interesting, and it got people to participate more. Marcus' attack was interesting and sparked participation. I hope you're starting to see a trend here; these actions are primarily used to try and get participation up. I didn't say you couldn't do investigative stuff. When Peanuts watched Fugazi throw stuff away, that was certainly an informative action. I'm not trying to argue back at you, since I know that everything you're saying is out of kindness and you're obviously pissed off that I grouped everyone together. When writing this rant I was airing everything bad that I was thinking of at the time, without thinking of the repercussions. It's a terrible state of feeling that psychologically doesn't happen that often to me. I'm not trying to offend anyone, since it is just a game, but I just wanted everyone to see how I felt.

As I said, I have no intent on quitting. I know there's people still willing to play and I'm very happy about that. The group of people willing to play the game are primarily the main reason as to why this game has lasted as long as it has. I believe the rest of what I'm going to hear are just echoes of what has been said, so I'll go ahead and unpause the game. And look, CallMePie is back!
-
Unpause! A taxi stops, and Marcus Baker steps out. "Hi, I'm back!"

Right then, if you notice in the Chapter Six thread, I've paused the game. Players (14) Mr. Jack Montgomery --- Mrlegoninja: 1 Mrs. Julia Montgomery --- Dannylonglegs: 0 Jeremy Montgomery --- ADHO15: 3 Mrs. Sarah Jordan --- Brickdoctor: 4 Mr. Winston Robertson --- Rumble Strike: 3 Amber Robertson --- Peanuts: 5 Officer Steven Jackson --- Professor Flitwick: Exempt Ashley Baker --- K-nut: Exempt Marcus Baker --- CallMePieOrDie: Exempt Officer Ryan Hutch --- badboytje88: 0 Mr. James Swanson --- CorneliusMurdock: 6 Robbie Swanson --- Jedi master Brick: 2 Deputy Chief Jackie Scott --- Fugazi: 7 Mayor Bob or various NPC's I play --- Bob_ : 12 What does this tell you? Two people haven't even posted today. This game has the enthusiasm of a morgue or a cemetery. It's gotten so bad that I've become cynical towards it. It's to the point where I have to make jokes about the game just so I can keep interest in it. Why should I even bother hosting if nobody is going to play? The reason that somebody hosts a game is so people can play it and enjoy it. The reason people host is because they like to host and they like a relative form of control. There's certain things a host can control. They control who is scum, they control the night actions, they control everything about the mechanics of the game. However, the one thing a host can't control are the people that are enrolled to play in the game. However, usually it all works out to the point where the host doesn't have to worry about the participation or the maturity of the player. A happy host equals happy players, it's a simple theory. But when you try to frustrate and anger the host with lack of participation, activeness, ignoring rules, ignoring clues, ignoring just about everything that I've played out, then the host will make your lives miserable. What's my motivation to host this game? Simply because I like Eurobricks and I wanted to bring a fun and enjoyable game forward to people. I put a few months of planning and preparation and waited a few months to be approved to host this game, and imagine my disappointment when I received six signups within the first 24 hours of the signup thread being open. Imagine my disappointment when I had to lower the number of characters down to 14. This game started on September 17th. It is now October 26th and we are more than halfway through it. In a month and nine days, the game has lost interest among half its players. Even in Chapter Two participating was lacking. What's this mean for you players that actually still care? I will continue to host this game even if I have to kill off all the characters, then bring them back as NPC's and act their actions out myself. I did it back in Red Scare Mystery with Burman's character when he had backstory that I wanted to implement, but Burman was never active. Why am I continuing on? Because I worked too hard on this game to just quit and throw in the towel. I had originally wanted to unleash this rant at the end of the game, but the situation has gotten, to put it bluntly, offensive, that I have to start midway through the game. Let's start off at the start, shall we? 1) You know your game is bad and frowned upon when the Games Moderator, a veteran that's been in every mafia and mystery game on this board, doesn't sign up. When I didn't get much of a "staff All-Star" turn out in Red Scare Mystery, I accepted it because I figured everyone had read Prohibition Mafia and assumed that I was a terrible host. However, I'd like to think I did a pretty good job on Red Scare Mystery. I received praise for it in the conclusion thread. So I was all smiles and happy when I put up the signup thread expecting the "All-Star's" to sign up for it. And none of them did. Not a single staff member. The only two fellows that did sign up are Fugazi and CorneliusMurdock, two novices at the start of Red Scare Mystery that emerged into great mystery players by the end. 2) Player participation. This is a big one, and I believe I let it all out a few paragraphs ago, but I have so much built up rage and anger, so why not? Let me throw this right out here. Chapter Twelve of Red Scare Mystery had 18 pages. And that was after six months of rigorous game play. Chapter Two has six. Chapter One, the start of the freaking game, has 10. Can anyone explain this to me? I sure can't explain it. 3) Miscellaneous Actions. Every even night I have had an action for myself. On Night Two, I beat up CallMePie with a bat. On Night Four, I burned down Fugazi's house. People don't understand these and I'm not sure why. You can do anything except kill someone. You could even kill yourself if you really wanted to. Break windows, throw trash cans, set up traps, burn down a tree, break the statues, do something other than "I'd like to follow player." This isn't a mafia game! Think outside the box! 4) Investigating. People are investigating in all the wrong places. The biggest and most glaring example of this is the three chapters you spent in the police station. THREE CHAPTERS! Argh! I think you've investigated five locations. Out of about 20. And that's my rant. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as a bit of a loser or whiner, but it's getting to an intolerable level on my end. For those who care, I'd like to hear some feedback or opinion.

PAUSE See the Discussion Thread, please. Also, don't post here.

It's empty. "There really haven't been any new shipments into town for awhile. The last batch, besides the crates out here, was sent off a few days ago." No false bottoms or smuggling signs here. Everything seems legitimate. "Where do you recommend we go to next?" "Huh? I've got this really cool rhythm going you know. I'd rather sit here and work on that then do this whole investigating thing you know." "Gosh am I tired. I spent the entire night arguing." *Yawn* "I guess that's one thing we can agree on." "So let the sideshow begin! Hurry, hurry, step right in! Can't afford to pass it by, guaranteed to make you cry! Let the sideshow begin, hurry, hurry, step right on in! Can't affo--" The townspeople looked at Officer Hutch. "Oh, sorry, I was practicing my favorite song."

"Well, obviously the police were after the case, but I'm not here at night so I wouldn't know. During the day, however, it's busy and business as usual, so anyone snooping around could be ignored. That tourist? A tragedy, but I doubt that Deputy Chief Scott was involved. "Can't say I ha- Oh, that doesn't apply to this situation. I haven't seen anyone odd, but then again I usually just talk to my fish. What attempted murder at the docks? When did that happen?" He is indeed the receiver of those shields. Amber takes the money, and then reaches around through the slimy seafood. There's nothing odd in there. "Watch where you put your hands, hot stuff. These are my fish." "Officer Jackson? He's a nice kid. I like him. You don't see to many people like him nowadays. I don't know why someone would kill him. There's been no other murder cases at these docks. There's never really been crime here until recently." "Officer Who? "
-
There's nothing in the briefcase. Inside the backpack is a sleeping bag, a frying pan, and a knife. The "white round thing" is a clock. The green plate is indeed a one hundred dollar bill. Neither of the weapons are loaded. Both are addressed to Winston Robertson. It would appear that both weapons do not function. "Yeah, you morons!" "Can't say I have." "He's a co-worker, but not much else. I don't associate myself with him. I've never really seen McGovern at the docks, except when he was here on that attempted murder case." "Can't say I have." No CCTV at the docks.
-
They're marked as various many things. James decides to open all the crates and spill out the contents. "Gah! Look what you've done!" "Hi." The investigators may now talk to: Jake McHenry Fisherman Hank "I'm getting too old for this shit" Johnson Dockworker
-
An artists interpretation of the docks.
-
Please, I've been breaking the fourth wall ever since Red Scare Mystery.
-
"Because, that's why." Deputy Chief Scott speaks with the crime scene investigator before the townspeople leave for the docks. "Were you able to find anything?" Scott asked. "Nothing really helpful. Everything that we found corroborates with the pictures that somebody took from last night that somehow end up in the start of the discussion." the investigator said. "Stop breaking the fourth wall." "Sorry. It's not my fault really. Where are you going next?" "The docks, I think." "The docks? None of them really have any idea what they're doing, do they?" "Nope." Scott says. The townspeople start to move to the docks.

Sarah produced a large piece of art to make fun of all the townspeople.
-
The only thing different is that the couch is not present in the room. There aren't any; when you took the tapes out of the recording system, you never put them back in.
-
That's very good, actually! My only suggestion is, as others have said, to make the saucer section a pit larger. I'd also recommend raising it above the engine nacelles, or making it at the same level.
-
If you'd like.
-
Don't even bring that game up.
-
While the Crime Scene Investigation Unit surveyed the crime scene, Deputy Chief Scott leaned against the hood of the police car. The Montgomery's were arguing, and Officer Hutch was entertaining the townspeople. "Ryan? What the hell are you doing?" Deputy Chief Scott asked. "I'm practicing for when I join the circus. It's coming to town soon." "Don't you think we should be investigating?!" "Pfft, this is much more fun."
-
Yes, that's his gun. In fact, everyone has walked all over this crime scene. "That's Officer Jackson's couch."
-
No, that was completely unintentional. I've been wanting to showcase those Star Trek figures for a few months, but I never really found a setting appropriate enough to do so. Initially Marcus dressing up was the plan, but then I figured that I'd make him look like more of a loser by having him play with action figures at night. I completely understand, real life takes superiority over these games all the time. I hope there's a future game for you to try harder in. Honestly, this is the last town setting game I'll ever do. I do like hosting though, but there's a few problems that I'll share with everyone at the end as to why I'll never host a game in a large open expansive town setting again. If I host again, I'll have to give my sig-fig a better position of power. He's gone from Governor to Congressman, and now he's a Mayor.

Thanks for playing, Cralegoboy. I only wish you had been more active. ProfessorFlitwick, K-nut, and CallMePie may not post.
