  1. "Well, this is it. Poor Hutch." Deputy Chief Scott said.
  2. So, we've decided on Officer Hutch's home?
  3. It's locked!
  4. The door is locked!
  5. Lauren's room is locked.
  6. There's nothing in there but water. Lauren's room is locked.
  7. There's no storage back there.
  8. Just some appointments, a few vacations, and a few others. Looks like a maker's mark. The fern is a fake plant in a small pot with fake dirt in it. There aren't.
  9. "Knock it off, you two! Take it to Jerry Springer later on!" It's Agent Stone! The bathroom has a bathtub with shower attachment, some nice tiling, a fern, a sink, a toilet, and a mirror. There's nothing odd about the mirror. On the back, it says O-N:30582
  10. It's rather small with only a bed, a few drawers, a large mirror, and a door to a bathroom. There's nothing under the bed. There's clothes in the drawers, as well as hair care products, a box of batteries, a small radio, a flashlight, and a calender. Jack holds a bowl of chopped onions nearby Jeremy, forcing him to cry, There's also not a wardrobe in the room.
  11. "Hey!" a voice yells from above: "I did a good job with that photoshop!"
  12. CHAPTER EIGHT - DOWN TO TEN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the center of downtown, Deputy Chief Scott watched the area for suspicious activity. It was nearly morning, and the sun had begun to shine on the city very lightly as it rose over the hills. A short while later, Marcus arrived. "You're up awfully early." Scott noted. "I didn't sleep." said Marcus. "I was having nightmares about baseball bats." "Oh, good morning." James said as he arrived. "I knew you were all up to something!" Robbie shouted. "Is this some sort of secret meeting?" "No, son. We're waiting for everyone else." James sighed. Robbie's loud music echoed through the streets as he arrived from the beach. "Oh, you're all up?" he asked. "What's all this noise?" Winston inquired as he arrived from his townhouse. "It's very hard to sleep." "Please, everyone return home until sunrise." Deputy Scott said. "There you are, Jeremy!" Julia said. "Go put all of that junk back home." "Fine!" Jeremy said. He left. Marcus left too, because he remembered that he left his Captain Kirk action figure out of its box. "I say James, do you smell anything odd?" Winston asked. "I do, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Officer Scott!" "Yes?" "Do you smell anything odd?" James asked. "Come to think of it, yes, I do. But I can't recall what it is." "Ah! I smell it now. It's gasoline." Winston said proudly. "Gasoline?" Scott asked. "It must be from the docks or something." "That's a logical deduction." With a huge roar, Officer Scott's RV exploded in a ball of fire that sent the three of them flying. Slowly they got up, with Officer Scott being the first up to help Winston. "Is everyone alright?" Scott asked. "Yes, but where are the other two?" Winston asked. "Robbie!" James yelled. "Nooooooooo!" James cried. "My only son!" "Get away from the fire, man! It'll burn you alive too!" Scott yelled. Winston pulled a crying James away from the fire as Officer Scott pulled out a comically oversized phone. "I need immediate assistance at the town center!" she said into the phone. The fire quickly receded, it was only a fast burner. By the time the first fire-woman arrived, the fire was out. "Sorry we couldn't get here sooner." "It's alright, you came as fast as you could." Deputy Chief Scott said. Later... "I'm going to have to rule this a freak accident." the Fire Marshall said. "That's my preliminary findings." "Hey Nurse, how's it going?" Marcus asked. "I'm trying to get this body out of the wreckage, but I keep pulling off body parts instead of the whole thing!" she giggled. "Alright everyone! Find somewhere else to congregate! I've got to continue my investigation." With their numbers diminished, the intrepid townsfolk meet at the other end of the fountain. "Now what?" James asked. "In all my years in the Lexington Police Department, I've never seen a car explosion before." Officer Jackson said. "I'm not sure what to do." Deputy Chief Scott says. "I'm not sure how to even proceed." "Where's Special Agent Stone?" Sarah asks. ~~~ Julia Montgomery (Dannylonglegs) has 0 life points, and is dead. Robbie Swanson (Jedi master brick) has 0 life points, and is dead. Officer Ryan Hutch (Badboytje88) has 0 life points, and is dead. Alex Jordan (cralegoboy) has 0 life points, and is dead. Ashley Baker (K-nut) now has 4 life points. Officer Steven Jackson (ProfessorFlitwick) now has 4 life points. There are 16 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. I will always give a detailed explanation of a room, however, feel free to ask for clarification. 3. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 4. Please try to avoid editing your posts. If you made a spelling error, simply post immediately after correcting your spelling error. If you wish to add more, a double post can be made, however use this rule wisely. Obviously, you may not make a quadruple post. Please wait for someone else to post before you post something else, unless absolutely necessary. 5. You can reference anything in pop culture, as this is being played real time. You can mention current events if you want to. You can use any electronic device that you wish to use, with exception. For example, you can’t take out your time machine to determine who the killers are. 6. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. However, you may not return to a room that you were already in, so ensure that you have searched every part of the room before leaving. 7. There are a few NPC’s in certain areas of the town. These NPC’s might have evidence, however they might not. Also, the evidence given by them might be false information. You cannot do anything other than talk to these NPC’s. You can only go and speak to them when you arrive in their area. For example, each NPC is in a certain part of the town. If you’re at point A, you cannot go and speak to an NPC at point B. 8. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 9. There are no night actions or chapter actions. However, there are Miscellaneous Actions. With this system, if you’d like to PM me a non-lethal action (I.E; “I’d like to go visit Player A”), then that’s fine. However, things that could harm people (I.E; “I’d like to go kill Player A”) are not allowed. These are only allowed at night. Night comes at the end of every chapter. I’ll allow most anything, so let your imaginations go wild. However, you can’t leave Lexington. That is not a valid action. 10. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. 11. There will be a life-point system. Every player starts out with ten life-points, and regenerates one life point at the end of a chapter. For example, if you fall and twist your ankle, you’d likely lose one life point. If you fall off a boat into an engine prop, you’re likely to lose most if not all of your life points. Think logically. Perhaps walking along the rickety boards in the construction zone is not a good idea. 12. The host is usually always right. If you think he’s wrong, feel free to send me a message about it. 13. Most of all have fun. This game is meant to be enjoyable despite the "questionable" things occurring. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. Julia Montgomery (Dannylonglegs) has 0 life points, and is dead. Marcus Baker (CallMePie) now has 9 life points.
  13. Don't forget, you can answer those questions any time you'd like, even right now.
  14. "I don't think it is registered." Elsewhere... "This is Brenda Barrett, reporting live from outside the Lexington Town Hall, where a protest is occurring!" "Everyone stay back!" the Mayor pleaded. "Use the bullhorn, Officer Donna!" "Everyone, please stay back!" she yells over the crowd. "Citizens, disperse to your homes!" "Our city isn't safe!" "We want justice!" "This is ridiculous! There was a gunfight right near here two nights ago!" "Where's our protection?!" With the combined weight of everyone leaning on them, the fences collapsed. "I got here as soon as I could." The Res-Q Worker said. "Although it appears I'm a bit late to help you guys." "You think?" "Hey everyone! Let's go completely out of character and tear this town apart!" The crowd roared in approval. "This can't be good." Officer Donna said. "I liked Alabatha better." Mayor Bob said. "Even Stapleton was better than this." "What?" "Nothing, nothing. Look they're destroying the city!" "This is Brenda Barrett reporting again from Lexington, where a riot has broken out." An Unfortunate Citizen (def) lies unconscious in the street behind her. "Is this on?" a rioter asks. "Hi mom!" "Back off everyone! I have a stick and I'm not afraid to use it!" Officer Patterson said. "Where the hell did that Res-Q lady go that was supposed to help us?" Officer Donna asked. "Yeah! Tear this town apart!" the Res-Q Worker yelled. "What a traitor." Officer Donna said. "Aren't you worried, Mayor Bob?" Patterson asked. "No, something else will get their attention and they'll end up leaving. They have very short attention spans." "I don't know Mr. Mayor." Officer Donna said. "It looks pretty bad." "Just relax. They'll get bored eventually." "Hey everyone!" another rioter yelled. "A new episode of American Idol is on!!!" "AMERICAN IDOL?!" the rioters all yell out in unison. And with that they race home to watch the show. "I told you." Mayor Bob said. "Oh my. What happened here?" Deputy Chief Scott asked. "There was a riot, but it's gone now." Officer Donna said. "What made them leave?" "There's a new episode of American Idol on." "AMERICAN IDOL!!!" all of the townspeople yelled. They ran off to go watch the television. "Now what?" "There's always tomorrow." Mayor Bob said hopefully. "At this rate, who knows if there will be a tomorrow." End Chapter Seven; get in those actions!
  15. "Oh, sorry. I can't read." "No, we weren't. I would never leave my family."
  16. No reason you can recall. "Certainly not."
  17. The pill bottle looks about half full. "I knew he was on an anti-depressant, but I never knew he owned a gun."
  18. They belong to Alex. It's an anti-depressant. The passport belongs to Alex. The gun does not have any bullets missing, it is loaded. Do you have a way of seeing if the bills are counterfeited?
  19. Inside the secret compartment is a small bottle of pills, a passport, several hundred dollars neatly stacked, and a small pistol.
  20. There's some pictures in there featuring Alex and Julia, showcasing their affair. Inside the book is a secret compartment.
  21. There aren't any drawers. Marcus destroys several books as he throws all of them to the ground, making a complete mess out of the Jordan's Library. There's no apparent notes in the books checked. There's a small folder underneath the rug. There's various titles of the books, there's several dozen there, but there's no apparent odd titles. There's a lamp, a snowglobe, and a rather large book. "I believe he was home at that time."
  22. It is the same store. The library is a small room with two armchairs in the center situated on a circular rug. There's a small desk and a bookshelf filled with books and various souvenirs. There's also a fishbowl and a family portrait. Not habitually
  23. "She's gone off to college. She went to a very nice college on the east coast. She's such a bright young girl." Yes it does. Some locations include Alex's Office, the Jordan home, and a few other spots including a liquor store, a grocery store, and a department store all outside of town.
  24. The GPS does.
