  1. I don't know about you guys, but my character is clearly alive at the end of this game. So are all the other insanes. We really do win.
  2. "He's one of the fire-fighters." Officer Fields says. "Alright, alright!" the congressman starts. "I cannot comment on what Project Wolf is, but I can comment on what X-K2P is." Someone from the crowd sends him a glare. "The time for secrecy is over. They're going to find out anyway because by now it's too late to stop it. X-K2P will take all of you, the citizens of Alabatha, and send you to an uncharted island military base. For life. The only way you could possibly stop it is by rooting out the communists." "What about our constitutional rights?" someone asks. "This is being done in secrecy. We've told the public that there was a problem at the power plant, and we've had to quarantine the population of Alabatha. Then President Truman declared martial law on Alabatha. We technically have the right to imprison you for as long as we possibly want." "There's been other communist investigations and searches! Why hasn't this X-K2P ever been used before!" someone else asks. "Well, first of all, you wouldn't know if it has been used before. Here's a hint though, it hasn't. Plus, there's never been a communist investigation in a town that sits directly next to an underground top secret military instillation." There's a general fear in the eyes of the townspeople. Stevie pockets the money for gum, or whatever. There is a fire escape, but it's impossible to see if it's been recently used. Farmer Alan investigates the roof, but cannot find anything. There does, however, appear to be something stuck at the top of the bell. It does not. "If you'd like to go to the hospital, then you may. There's just nothing of interest in the hospital and you'd be wasting precious time looking."
  3. I'd like to play, if you're not still mad at me for what happened in Red Scare.
  4. Maxwell takes a handkerchief from his pocket to help stop the bleeding. He puts pressure on the wound. "I can't comment on this!" The congressman says. Patrick helps the lifeguard as well. "I...couldn't...see him..." she murmurs. Ralph helps the lifeguard, too. It's at this time that a National Guard Medic arrives. He takes the lifeguard away on a stretcher.
  5. The paper says: "October 5th, 1952 Dear Brandon, It pains me so, but I must leave Alabatha. I know you'll understand, but they're evacuating our bunker due to the communist spies that are in town. It had to happen one of these days, that one of those Soviet Scum would find their way to Alabatha. They just discovered that they're here, and that they've been here for awhile. They're not sure what they're after yet, but they think it's the secret facility where I work. I could be arrested for treason for telling you all this, but it doesn't matter anymore, does it? Project Wolf is shutting down, but only preliminary evacuations are starting now. They won't scrap the whole project for another few weeks. At any rate, I must leave you now, Brandon. It pains me so...but some day fate will have us meet again. With much love forever, Jessica" The paper is dated the day before the Congressman came to town. The coins amount to one dollar and fifty-seven cents. Mayor Bradford and Captain Garrison walk up to the roof, and Garrison slowly opens the rooftop door. They're greeted with this site: "Help...me..." the lifeguard pleads, in a voice so soft it is hardly a whisper. "Somebody get a doctor up here!" Mayor Bradford yells. "He's dead." Captain Garrison says. "Then get the goddamn nurse up here!" Bradford orders. The coins are American currency. Gloria heads up to the roof.
  6. Opening Animal Farm reveals a hollow book. There's a piece of folded paper in here, as well as a few coins. At the top of the staircase is a roof hatch. Peeking into the icebox finds it empty. There's nothing hidden in the cabinets. He then moves things back to where they were originally. Searching under the couches only yields a few loose coins.
  7. Agh!!!!! I know it's standard to say, but I knew it! This from a conversation I had with Hinckley: I was obviously wrong with Nurse Penny, but 4/5 isn't that bad. Plus I had secretly suspected Dragonator, because it was fishy that he wasn't killed being labeled a townie. I hate these games. I prefer hosting.
  8. One book, Animal Farm, has a bookmark in it. None of the books have dust on them, as someone has dusted them. "Is anyone an avid reader?" Frankie asks. There's a stove, and an icebox. There's also a few cabinets with food supplies in them. Only one book, Animal Farm, is out of order, in the "M" area. After Will is done, Gloria pulls off a few famous books. There's no secret passages. Patrick checks under the beds, but there's nothing there. Next, Patrick lifts Stevie up to see whether if anything is hidden in the light bulbs, but there's nothing in there. Host Correction: Also on this floor is a pole to slide down to the first floor, and a staircase to the roof.
  9. Maxwell rushes up the stairs to tap the walls before Stevie has an opportunity to do so. Once again, there's nothing odd or out of place. Sorry, I think I missed that action from the previous page. James holds the paper up to the light, but there's no hidden messages. There's a few classic novels, and such. There's really nothing suspicious or out of place. Someone has taken a lot of time to perfectly arrange the bookcase in alphabetical order. Someone cares for this bookcase. Gloria flips the three mattresses and pulls the sheets off, but there's nothing hidden.
  10. There's no indication of a trap door on the floor. Also, there's no ID on the helmets. Finally, Farmer Alan finds a spare tire for the fire engine. There's only one, however, and it would be too large to fit any other vehicle. Not that there are any other vehicles, those have all been taken away. The handwriting is different. The group heads upstairs. There's a few bed cots on this floor, and the beds are all neatly made. There's also a small kitchen in one area, and in another there's a bookshelf and a few couches. None of the doors appear to have been picked, however, Mayor Bradford isn't trained to determine these things. He then walks upstairs with the others. There are a few hanging lights on the ceiling, but how would you like to get up there?
  11. Maxwell walks into the fire station, and opens the boxes and cabinets. There's a few fire-fighting tools and equipment, but there's no weapons. There's no papers either. Walking in, there's a staircase leading upstairs directly in front of you. In the middle is a parking spot for the fire engine, with huge barn doors in the back as a second exit for the engine. Finally, on the other side of the room is a spot for helmets, lockers, and equipment. Julie looks in a trash bin that's outside. It's empty. There is no kitchen on this floor. James opens the equipment lockers, and finds nothing out of the ordinary. He then opens the fire-fighter's lockers, and finds a note. Written on the note is: "One walks the roof at midnight." Stevie taps the walls, but yields no results. Gloria opens a tool box, and takes a hammer and a screwdriver. There's a helmet on the floor, indicating that either someone left in a hurry or someone was careless. "The fire station was not circled on the map." Congressman Bob says.
  12. Vote: Tim Tam Timmers/Lord Arjay I suppose so. It does make some sense.
  13. Farmer Simmons checks all of the doors. They're all locked securely. There are a few bins and crates, but they're all empty. There is not a fire escape ladder, but don't forget that you do possess a ladder. Gloria throws a rock at the door's window, smashing it. She then reaches her hand in, and unlocks the door. "Errr...That's not the best idea." the Congressman says. There's no rugs or loose tiles on the outside. "The door was unlocked when we fetched the fire truck, oddly enough it's been locked again." the Congressman says. The sun begins to rise in the distance.
  14. Still no Sinisters? How is it possible we've been this wrong? The deranged Doctor told us that there are Sinister Insanes, but how can we still keep voting off the wrong people? It appears that it's either Lupo or Timtam who are Sinister, but which one?
  15. These actions are impossible, as the doors are locked. Stevie taps the wall on the outside, but cannot determine any anomalies. Again, due to the doors being locked, this action is not possible. It is not. Peering through the windows, there are no skid marks. Nobody is currently missing either. It was probably taken by the National Guard.
  16. The firefighters fled town when the whole mess started. There's four entrances to the firehouse. The giant garage door in the front, the huge doors in the back, and two smaller doors, one in the front and the other in the back. There's two floors to the firehouse, plus a roof. Peering through the windows, the fire engine that was there two days ago is no longer present. The group arrives at the firehouse.
  17. I don't normally venture into the licensed section, but when I do I'm greeted with this! I have to say, I like everything about this library. You put just enough in there so it was movie accurate, but not too much so it would be cluttered. I especially like the bookshelves, as well as the windows. I also liked the stone blended in with the tan walls. Keep up the good work! Don't quote me on this, but I believe it's from the sorting hat set.
  18. "I believe the general consensus was to head to the firehouse." Congressman Bob says. The citizens of Alabatha begin their walk towards the firehouse.
  19. Unvote: Mr.Nowhere / Scouts Vote: Misty Monroe/badboytje88
  20. "Not yet. Director Hoffman will be returning later this morning." General Stanley says. "Inside the beach house of course." Krista explains.
  21. Vote: Mr Nowhere / Scouts I'll go for it, based on reasons previously stated.
  22. It was around one in the morning. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore could be distantly heard. The wind howled, and the bushes rustled. A gunshot and a scream, followed by a crash could be heard, but then the town was silent again. There was a chill in the air. One lone soldier stood guard outside of the General Store. He was oblivious to the figure approaching from behind him. With one swift stroke, the figure slit the neck of the soldier. He crumpled instantly, dead. The figure then pushed open the doors to the General Store, and crawled into the tunnels. About fifteen minutes later, alarms and sirens went off all over Alabatha. Gunfire pierced the night. The doors of the townspeople were knocked on, and the townspeople were assembled in the center of Alabatha. All except for one. Dr. Simon Lloyd was slain, his neck slit. A man in army fatigues stepped onto the back of an army car. A tank rolled into the center of town. Soldiers surrounded the townspeople. A few wondered if this was truly the end, and X-K2P was beginning. The man began to speak. "Hello. My name is General Alvin Stanley. I am the National Guard General in charge of blockading Alabatha. About a half hour ago, someone infiltrated and broke into Project Wolf. This person killed two of my soldiers, and stole intelligence from the United States Government. This is treason. You're all being punished. You have two more days to root out the communists, or I will have no choice but to enact X-K2P." The townspeople shared nervous looks. "Joining your group is Captain Pete Garrison. He will help you." "Hello there." he said simply. A second vehicle pulled up, it carried the Congressman and another person in it. They moved towards the group. "Hello. This is my assistant Maxwell. He will as well be joining you." A third figure entered the mix. "Krista!" an excited Alan Simmons said. "Where have you been?" "I've been hiding with Brenda the lifeguard, but she disappeared so I came out to look for her." she explained. As the National Guard troops left the center, Inspector Liebenston took center stage. "Right. Let's figure out where we'd like to investigate. We have a long day ahead of us." ------------------------------------------------------- Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Arrivals Ted Harding (Captain of the Lakota) Played by Capt.JohnPaul Frankie Daly (Deckhand) Played by Captain Genero Maxwell Touns (Congressional Aide) Played by Mrlegoninja Captain Pete Garrison (National Guard Captain) Played by Lord Arjay Krista Halle (Farmer) Played by Peanuts Deceased Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Jackie Harding (Ted's Wife) Played by Captain Becker Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Voted Out Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus. Good luck, you'll need it from this point on.
  23. Everyone welcome Peanuts, Mrlegoninja, and Lord Arjay to the game. By now you've most likely received your roles. The Chapter Eight thread will be up tomorrow afternoon, eastern standard time. It'll be a surprise for most of you, I'm sure.
  24. Argh! Are there even any Sinisters out there? We couldn't be thiswrong every day and night. This is making my head hurt even more, the people I suspected to be sinister are being voted off and they're turning up as insane. I don't even know who to suspect anymore.
  25. Alright then, you've got the job. This can be locked.
