"Come on up." Dieter said. "While you're up there, you can search our apartments too." Will and James add.
-
"Not yet." the General says. "We are working on it, however."
-
It was taken as evidence by the soldiers. Wait for it. General Stanley returns to the group. "I've prepared a list for you, of all the search-able places in the town." -Dieter’s Grocery and Deli -Alan Simmons’ Farm/Residence -Jenkins’ Residence -Schneider Residence -Ackerson Residence -Falzone Residence -Seaport -Hospital -Harding Cargo Ship "I'm certain I haven't missed anything." Stanley says.

I too believe there's the possibility of a freelance killer. Perhaps this killer is a misguided town vigilante, perhaps this killer is a neutral serial killer. Under the assumption that the killer who killed Dacius is either a townie or a neutral, if Mr. Sokern was blocked last night, that could explain why there wasn't a werewolf killing.
-
Host Error, this should be the Ackerson Residence. Mayor Bradford lives in Bradford Manor at the edge of town. Due to the blockade, his home is inaccessible.

The townspeople reassembled in the town center, after breakfast. They stood around conversing among each other, preparing to decide where to go. They were in high spirits. If the communist police chief was gone, then there were only a few remaining. "So, where would you like to go?" Congressman Bob asked. "Congressman Bob!" a voice called. "Ah, General Stanley. What do you want now?" "I'm afraid I'm going to have to place you under arrest, Congressman." "What? Is this a joke?" "This is no joke, Congressman." "Under whose authority?" "Mine." Stanley said sternly. The two soldiers with him placed handcuffs on the Congressman, and moved behind him, grabbing him. "Congressman Bob, you are under arrest for treason." General Stanley said. "This is preposterous! I won't let you do this! When Nixon or Truman hears of this, you're finished Stanley!" "Such a shame you won't be able to call them. It's an equal shame that they don't know of the good I'm doing here. I'd get a medal." "General, don't do this..." Captain Garrison said meekly. "Be quiet, Captain!" The captain respectfully got back with the other townspeople. Stanley turned to the townspeople. "Now then, there's going to be a few changes here, starting now. I've had it with your apparent inability to capture communists. Chief Phelps was a lucky pick, he wasn't even on our radar as a commie. At the end of each chapter, you will each be able to use your night action. Additionally, I will be assigning more night actions to those who did not previously have one. Finally, nowhere is off limits, I'll have an additional search list created for you within the hour." Stanley said. He turned on his heel, and walked off. -------------------------------------------------------- Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Arrivals Ted Harding (Captain of the Lakota) Played by Capt.JohnPaul Frankie Daly (Deckhand) Played by Captain Genero Maxwell Touns (Congressional Aide) Played by Mrlegoninja Captain Pete Garrison (National Guard Captain) Played by Lord Arjay Krista Halle (Farmer) Played by Peanuts Deceased Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Jackie Harding (Ted's Wife) Played by Captain Becker Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Voted Out Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus. Good luck!

Red Scare Mystery -Confirmation and Discussion

Well, whoever can build a scene from the Mystery. It could be the interior of your home, it could be a scene that wasn't photographed. If anyone would like to participate, let me know in this thread. As said, the new chapter should go up in a few hours. -

Chapter Nine will be up sometime on Friday Night, EST. In the meantime, I've been toying around with the idea of a Building Challenge, would anyone be interested in participating or would it just be a waste of time? -
I'm not entirely sure of Mr. Phillips guilt. I'm just not entirely sure...I don't know. I'll refrain from voting for Mr. Phillips, but it would appear that my vote wouldn't change anything. He's still going to be voted off.

There's nothing left in the tub after it drains. Also, there's nothing in the mattress or under the bed. Looking under a lightbulb, there isn't any invisible ink. There is no roof access. Also, the radio hasn't been tampered with in any way. The group leaves for breakfast at Dieter's as the sun rises on another day in Alabatha. They then meet in the town center. Mayor Bradford and the rest of the Alabatha Government confront Officer Fields. "Congratulations, Tim. You've earned it." he says. "Thanks Mayor Bradford!" Chief Fields says. "We've just received word from Washington." Inspector Liebenston says, approaching the group. "Chief Phelps was indeed a communist, and one of the ones we were looking for!" The townspeople look elated, but the excitement dissipated. Their police chief, whom they trusted with their lives and saw daily, was a communist spy. They prepared to head out to the next location. END CHAPTER EIGHT. This topic may be locked please!

I'm quite hungry as well. However, some of you are acting suspicious. And by suspicious, I mean nuts.

You know, applesauce is a silent killer. Wait, if I type applesauce, does that turn into cute baby piggies? Argh, I don't know anymore. -
There's only shoes inside the shoe boxes. Shaking the albums causes most of the photos to fall out. Julie flashes her a very annoyed look. There's no interesting photos either. There's clothes inside the cabinets, but nothing else. James checks the address, it is addressed to the hospital. Pulling the plug on the tub, it does drain. Stevie once again taps the walls, but there's nothing suspicious or curious. You theoretically could hide something. There's nothing in the clothes, and a second search through the closet still yields nothing suspicious.

Werewolf Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread

Greetings, as you all know, I'm Benjamin Cobb. To echo my fellow townspeople's comments, I am ready to root out some applesauce. -
"I guess I forgot to empty it." Julie says. There's a bed, along with a few cabinets next to a window. There's also a nightstand and a lamp next to the bed. On top of the bed is a quilt. There's a door to the bathroom, and a door to the closet on another side. There's some clothes, a few shoe boxes, and a few family photo albums. James skims through her acceptance letter, but there's nothing that would stick out. No papers come out of the magazines. It is dated five years ago, the same time that Nurse Parker arrived in Alabatha. There's nothing inside the pipes. There's no loose stones in the fireplace. The pistol is American made.

Why do I feel like this is going to be Witch Hunt Mafia all over again? -
Searching through the cabinets yields only ordinary food. However, hidden in the back is a pistol. Recalling the records at the Town Hall, Ms. Parker is registered to own a gun, for her own protection. The radio is turned to a jazz station, and the fireplace is empty, as if it hasn't been used in awhile. Searching through the sofa cushions yields only a letter from Dr. Lloyd. It's an older letter, and it's her acceptance to the hospital as a nurse. There's a few TIME magazines on the table. "Oh, I was looking for that letter!" Julie said. Krista looks under the carpet on the living room, but there's nothing under there. Before Krista can get to the refrigerator, Stevie heads there and inspect the food thoroughly, finding nothing. Then in utter classlessness, he eats some of Julie's food. Captain Harding joins Stevie, and they both eat like pigs. "Yes, in the bedroom." Julie says. It's made of stone. Ralph looks in the doorframes, but he can't find anything suspicious or dangerous. Mayor Bradford heads into the bathroom. There's no medicine cabinet, but there is a cough syrup on the sink. All the water lines work perfectly, there's also nothing behind the toilet or in the toilet tank. The tub is filled with water. There's a few pipes in the cabinet under the sink, but there's also a few wash towels, toothpaste bottles, and other hygiene items. Gloria searching under the couch, but finds no money. She gets up disappointed.

There's nothing of interest inside the bush. The nearest building is the hotel, and it's about thirty seconds away walking distance. Also close by is the farm. Entering the home, there's two rooms off to one side of the house, a bedroom and a bathroom. The other side of the house has a kitchen, with a refrigerator, a table and chairs, and a few cabinets. The living room, which is carpeted, has a fireplace and a radio, along with a sofa. Stevie pulls the plant out of the ground, but there's nothing under it but worms and more dirt. He then puts it back, and heads inside.
-
There's nothing in the garden unusual or communist. There's a single bush. There's nothing around the bush. The roof is slanted. I'm not sure why people are asking for a description when there's a picture on page ten. I can't describe the inside if you're not inside. There's a few trees next to the Parker Residence, but no buildings. There's nothing on the outside that might serve as a signal. There's no sign of any recent work done. There's also no signs of digging, or any rocks or trees in an odd place. "Shall we go inside?" Nurse Parker asks.
-
Sorry for the delay. A medic rushes up to the group. "She's just entered surgery now. She should be fine." he reports. The group arrives at the Parker Residence. There's only one floor. "Feel free to look around." Nurse Parker says.

"All of you calm down. You can't blame me, or the President, or the Congress. You can blame General Stanley for this." "Is that how you feel, Congressman?" a voice asks. A short silence follows, the sound of feet ascending the stairs stifles the silence. It's General Stanley. He pulls the Congressman aside, and they begin to speak. Quietly at first, but then their argument intensifies. "You are so far out of line right now. Telling them what X-K2P is, that's highly classified. I should have you arrested for treason." "But you can't." The Congressman retorts back. "Because that would attract unwanted attention to your base here." "You forget the entire reason that Alabatha was chosen. It has a population of fifty people, it's remote, it's quiet, and it's by the hills and seaside. Fifty people are a lot easier to get rid of then say, a thousand." "Get rid of? Alvin, do you hear yourself? These are American citizens, they fund your operations. They're probably paying for this without even knowing it." "And yet, there's Soviet spies among them. It's quite amusing to hear them quote the Constitution when almost everything they've done here has violated the Constitution. They've violated the fourth amendment, the sixth amendment, and the eighth amendment. I didn't see Chief Phelps granted a speedy trial by his peers." "That's irrelevant. It was your idea." "I didn't hear them complaining when they bid farewell to their former police chief." "What's your point?" "My point is that we have an interest to protect our National Security. If the Soviets find out what we're doing here in Alabatha, then we're not one step ahead of them anymore. We're protecting our National Security here by protecting what's happening down there in Project Wolf." General Stanley says. Stanley turns and departs. "I'll find out for you on the way to the Parker Residence." The congressman says. The group leaves the firehouse for the Parker House.
-
Project Wolf is still in operation. There's no hidden messages. "Okay." Garrison says. It is only visible from the roof of the Fire Department. "We just determined there were communists here 5 days ago. We informed local officials and dispatched Inspector Liebenston and myself. It's only been five days, you know." "Wheeee!" Stevie says gleefully as he slides down the pole.
-
"Look, I don't want X-K2P to happen either, but that's up to General Stanley and Director Hoffman. I've been trying to get it removed since the start of this fiasco. Right now the only people who know anything about X-K2P are myself, President Truman, General Stanley, Director Hoffman, and Captain Garrison. President Truman is mostly unaware of the situation. He knows that X-K2P exists, but insisted that it never be used. Don't blame Truman or America, blame General Stanley and Director Hoffman." Congressman Bob says. Farmer Alan carefully climbs up, and pulls out a USSR Flag that was stuck at the top of the bell. "Not even I know what Project Wolf is. I was told that it was bigger than the Manhattan Project, though." Congressman Bob adds. Our current date is October 9th, 1952. "I can't recall ever knowing a Jessica." Officer Fields says. It's the general consensus of the others.
